I stopped playing a week ago. I just don’t enjoy the endgame like I do in PoE 1. There are so many maps I don’t like running, Augury and Mire in particular, but there are several others that are nearly as bad. I’m more excited about PoE 3.26 than whatever is coming to PoE 2 in the next few months. My only fear is that PoE 1 is going to be in maintenance mode from 3.26 with extraordinarily long leagues that are small in scope, only to die altogether within a couple of years. I hope I can fall in love with PoE 2 eventually.
I think, as far as an Early Access game is concerned, that PoE2 is a success. I'm not sure GGG expected it to be quite such a hit, but they are probably already doing very well from sales of EA keys. But as far as EA is concerned - after the initial problems of a few hours - the game seems pretty damn stable and robust. So congrats to GGG on that. However, I do think that in general, progression through the game is much slower than PoE1, and there's not a massive sense of progression (of damage/speed) as you go through Acts 1-3 (and a little beyond). The game feels exactly the same in Act 3 as it does in Act 1, even though I have new skill gems / support gems ... it doesn't feel like things are "improving" .. it's just different "content". And I don't think the content is a massively different either .. the same old fare of elemental damage, or poisons, or ground effects, or whatever. There's nothing particularly innovative here. The area layouts also seem "weird" (with "above and below" ground areas), and yeah .. just seems like the "game architect" came up with some ideas that got implemented without really testing whether they are good for the player. I also will never understand how GGG don't understand that players DO NOT LIKE DEAD ENDS! There's nothing more frustrating that spending many seconds walking back the way you've came, and/or spending a minute or 2 trying to find that one boss or treasure in a (massive) area. I'm all for generating new layouts every time, but some areas just been too big (just because they can?), with no consideration given to the player on how it /feels/ to wander around that map looking for something. And at pretty slow movement speeds. The "waypoints" seem to be how they have "worked around this", but even then .. why not just have lots more waypoints (instead of 3 in a massive area) to make traversing "back" to an unexplored area quicker. Anyways .. all in all I think GGG have done well with this as an EA release .. but I am honestly a bit "underwhelmed", and (in comparison to PoE1) there are regularly times when playing that I think "I've had enough, I'm going to log off and do something else", which is the opposite for me in PoE1 (where I sometimes get to 2 a.m. and think "uh oh, I need to go to bed" :) I'm not entirely sure new classes and end game content is going to fix what, for me, has been an "ok" campaign experience .. and it does mean I really am not sure I can be bothered levelling an alternative class through that whole campaign, as there is not (As yet) a way to make that significantly quicker 2nd time around (with a new class). Jury is out for me .. but yeah ... once PoE1 3.26 comes out, I don't think I'll be playing PoE2 for a few months.
i think for casuals its more like there's no easier way to farm currency at the moment. we only have random exalted drops, breach/rituals/deli and you just get killed in those mechanics even in lower tier maps if you are a new player. compared to POE1 where you could still farm essences and beasts in lower tier maps, or even just clear t14 white maps for invitations.
the question is not if they will make the game interesting with cool mechanics the question is if they will path towards poe1, one shot the enemy or get one shotted or they will path towards slow and steady combat, similar to how campaign felt versus how endgame mapping is, aka 1 shot screen wide clear.
Well 90% of the map designs are just terrible. I end up skipping these maps even if they are juiced…there are dead ends everywhere, you end up backtracking all the time, it is just annoying man. Then as for the content, the only fun content for mapping at least for me is just breach, the rest is poop, strongboxes are terrible, altars not consistent. Poe2 isn’t hard because the content is difficult. The game is hard because it’s not balanced, there are few means to manage difficult content, and GGG have chosen to prioritise RNG as a core game system. I have played over 10k hours of POE1 since Harvest. I’ve spent over US$1000 in the same period. I’ve played just 100 hours of POE2 and have not finished the campaign, just the first three acts. I like crafting items, I like collecting items, POE2 just doesn’t have the things I find enjoyable. Much of POE2 is great but overall POE1 shits all over POE2; as it should, it has 10 years of development. POE2 has nowhere the appeal of POE1 for me. Hence why I stopped playing weeks ago. Unfortunately for GGG the consequence of my experience with POE2 is that I’ve also not played POE1.
Kinda in the same position. Played around 3k hours of POE1 and stopped playing POE2 after like 50h. Its hard to me, to find positives with the game. The movement feels all around clunky and lacks any form of "feeling". Forced movement in Skills just feels horrendous. The maplayouts and backtracking just kills the fun. "Early crafting is just pure gambling..., Killing rares instead of a Mapboss for completion doesnt give me any sort of achievment, Oneportal....wtf And thats apart from all the stuff that GGG seems to have forgotten from POE1, that is what baffels me the most...like the POE2 Team never touched POE1 ( and its all basic stuff ) And most of these things arent EA or Endgame Problems, they are Designproblems...and it will take a lot to get me back.

To be honest, i think Poe 2 is an EA Successfully Launched already. Why, is because a lot of players playing "AS IF" it's the First Poe2 League... (and that is a huge compliment.) The campaign is the best part of the game, which they did S tier. (also the most worrisome for me pre-launch as poe1 weakest links is the campaign.) I do think the game released is both bit early for end game/but also the right time. I started playing poe1 in settlers league, and now poe2 i found poe1 so much more player friendly because of the gameplay and all the great info content and it is way more enjoyable with the many diffrent methods of crafting, poe2 atm in early access is only a skeleton game with only bones to chew on and no meat, BUT in the future it will rival and surpass poe1, they have to because poe2 is the future of GGG.
There is no progressive transition in the game. From campaign to endgame I need to spend 40div otherwise I would be scratching those monsters with my weapon, and with no capped resistances it's guarantee death. Gear drop rolls sucks, reforging sucks, expedition gears sucks, ritual gears sucks.
To me its not hard or lacks content. The game is just not fun at all. Is the contrary of fun. I've played poe1 for years and i'm definitely not wasting time on this game unless it changes drastically.

@@darrenyorston You feel it tedious because theres no content in the game right now. You have two complete the acts twice. Then theres only a few maps where theres no loot and no big monster packs. It's tedious for me too. I was very hyped and i got this casual mobile game.
The game has a lot of problems in my opinion. Difficulty isnt one of them i think...most everything else is. Just my opinion. The foundation is there, for a great game. It will take a lot ( i am no developer, so i dont know exactly what) of changes to get it there for me.
I'm not sure I agree with the idea that players die in maps due to lack of skill. Certainly I like tanky builds just like in POE1, but there is a lot of nonsense with ground effects and corpse explosions that you can't even see due to screen clutter or scenery blocking the player's view. With this I would prefer that we can just use our 6 portals like in POE1 even if we die. Personally I hope we can alternate between POE1 and 2 leagues, I already do all the content I want in both D4 and POE1 and get bored before new league starts but I play more than most probably
There is no way to get as tanky as you can in poe 1. In poe 1 you can make your characters invulnerable with enough investment in poe 2 you still have to use the space bar. This simply means people are going for glass cannon builds and hope they can kill the enemies before they kill them. What’s the point of having 7k energy shield and still die to a pinnacle boss if you can spec all that into offence and kill the boss in few seconds 🤷
I'm pretty strongly disagree about the gem system Support gems not needing quality and levels has made experimentation with different builds so incredibly more accessible to regular players, I cannot overstate this Do keep in mind, there are several hundred skilled gems in support gems not in the game yet
I didn’t elaborate on that. In Path of Exile 1, we have much more gem diversity and flexibility. I’m not talking about the quality or leveling of support gems here. Removing those simplified things, and I don’t see any problem with that. I was referring to skill gem options, which at the moment are very limited. I was also referring to the fact that we cannot use multiple instances of the same support gem. Yes, I know the 'Arbiter of Flame' can drop a unique helmet that allows this to some extent, but it’s not enough! Also, the entire skill gem system was designed around certain combos, which is limiting in itself. You can create much more complex and dynamic gem setups in POE 1 than in POE 2.
164 divines!!!!! sell me the good one weapon for totem build! i make your build , i am lvl 91 love your videos , but hard to play with out good items :S
you can use a +5 mace and the build still works good for waystones 15 & 16. You don't need a lot of currency for my totem master build!! Also is pretty brainless to play ( no swaps, very tanky, 1 buttom play 90% of the times ). Also no nerfs, since we are not using any broken or unintended mechanics. If you still need help with your items, join the dedicated build channel on the Discord. LINK: discord.gg/92ab6Zs3ZT
Un starting geting tired of the game BC of currency and market prices, i dint get a single div in t16 Maps do breach boss 2 times and nothing, if i want a bether gear its is in 10div +
If GGG makes it easier for casuals to make currency then the bigger guys will get even more currency, so that’s not going to happen, my advice is, if you don’t have time for grind for hours daily don’t even think about playing the game otherwise you’ll end up frustrated.
The hard part its good! Too easy would be boring! Economy is a bit mess but its a early start so that would be expected! It would be good to try to make a shop for one time click instead whispering and waiting for seller to reply.

The game has a lot of problems in my opinion. Difficulty isnt one of them i think...most everything else is. Just my opinion. The foundation is there, for a great game. It will take a lot ( i am no developer, so i dont know exactly what) of changes to get it there for me.
Don't be a suckyboy. Get gud.
And where is the crafting system in poe2
@@TheFinQ Good point, the best defense is a good offence, the Arbiter can't do 2 overlapping 1-shot AOEs if you delete him before he attacks
I'm pretty strongly disagree about the gem system
Support gems not needing quality and levels has made experimentation with different builds so incredibly more accessible to regular players, I cannot overstate this
Do keep in mind, there are several hundred skilled gems in support gems not in the game yet
@@poeguy007 thanks for the Totem build. I´am on early mapps and I love it. Its very sheap because nobody needs armor items.
Un starting geting tired of the game BC of currency and market prices, i dint get a single div in t16 Maps do breach boss 2 times and nothing, if i want a bether gear its is in 10div +
I'll go to learn from Elon Musk how to play poe2 hes playong in hardcore haha😂
Wow early!
If GGG makes it easier for casuals to make currency then the bigger guys will get even more currency, so that’s not going to happen, my advice is, if you don’t have time for grind for hours daily don’t even think about playing the game otherwise you’ll end up frustrated.
Just play ssf
@ and what does ssf do ? Drops more currency ? Better loot ? I don’t think so, otherwise people would play it.
@iFullgogo you're just competing with yourself not the community so you progress as fast or slow as you want to
you do realize there is SSF right? Go back to your trade league and stfu
The hard part its good! Too easy would be boring! Economy is a bit mess but its a early start so that would be expected! It would be good to try to make a shop for one time click instead whispering and waiting for seller to reply.
Just delete the intro, please.
The game is just a gamr about getting currency and trade for your upgrades (because crafting sucks) so pretty much boring all the way
you are farming for better gear. Like in hundred other games.
@Cola_77 noup, you are farming to buy from another player
@@royalecrafts6252 same, currency is only a middle man
@Cola_77 which is worse because it devaluates meaning you always farm for less
