from a movie perspective episode V trumps all of the other star wars movies. Looove episode three but i do think Dune is better. As a whole it isn’t better than star wars , but the atmosphere and the music is wow

I don't know if Dune tops Episode 3 but I'm sure it could top more than 1 other star wars film. Not Episode 3 tho.
@blazestudios23 Not sure who Paul is or his character arc however nobody has to do that with Anakin, either. His turn to the darkside in the movies is clunky. However with all the expanded shows/lore in allows and explains Episode 3 a lot more. Bare in mind his turn was not over the course of a movie. It was over the course of 4 years or so, over the war. Influenced by events that took place in the past 2 movies but heavily enhanced during the war which, makes a lot of sense once you know exactly why he turned. He turned out of desperation and impulse from a combination of Anakin's personality, being forced into make a drastic choice to pick a side in the space of a minute and the Jedi's failures and Palpatines manipulation. Once he made the impulsive choice, he regrets it initially but realizes there is no going back now and he has to commit to that path. Fueled by his own ambition and plans which were shown with his convo with Padme, and cut short after the fight with Obi wan and Padme's death blaming himself for it for years fully converting him to Darth Vader. The most iconic villain in cinema history.

Frank Herbert's Dune is essentially the most in depth sci fiction universe ever created. Star wars is 3 good movies. George Lucas is a hack (everyone knows that) however those first 3 movies were pretty good. Its basically like comparing Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter
Okay so you realize that Dune is a science fiction book series and it's super super famous and has a much finer pedigree as an actual science fiction series than Star Wars which I do love, and have loved my whole life, but which is... Like pop music. It's fun, but it really doesn't have any substance. Star Wars hasn't had any substance until Andor used the setting of Star Wars to finally tell a grown up story in the universe, It's always been potato chips, It's delicious and you'll finish a whole bag but mostly it's just air and salt.
