It blows my mind that I am old enough to hear people say, " I didnt know that Bon Jovi was a band." LOL Love it
I work in a supermarket where kids don’t remember Michael Jordan playing basketball Blows my mind where time goes. 🙈
So true...it's more scary to know, it's that long ago! Yikes
It is a great feeling being a teenager in the eighties. We can tell people I remember when this song first came out.
Becky Atwood it blows my mind that I'm old enough to say that was the music my kids listened to when they were growing up! 😂😂😂
I know right...me too
"Is it a rock band?" I am so old.
1. Always
2. You Give Love A Bad Name
3. It's My Life
4. I'll Be There For You
5. Never Say Goodbye
Agree 💯💯💯 bed of roses is my favourite thou ❤👍👌😎🥰
Runaway, Bad Medicine
Wanted dead or alive
Living in Sin, In These Arms \m/ ( *o* )
Even though there is no official video out yet: American Reckoning
The 80s had the best anthom songs
Richie Sambora, the guitarist, uses the talk box with which he achieves those guitar-like sound effects
Andrea R. Bordón -wasn’t Richie married with Heather locklear ( the lady from Dallas or Dynasty ). Richie and Bon are great musicians and a song writers
@@gocomplexsmith72 yes Richie was married to Heather Locklear but not anymore.
Oh you have to hear Def Leppard ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’
He’s done it now! I’ve just come here from that video!
I still die every time I hear that song. 🤍
I took my daughter to a Bon Jovi concert a few years ago. We had nosebleed seats, and my daughter was saying, "It's ok Mom, I'm good here." I said no, we're going to SEE the band and make a memory! I ran to the ticket line, paid an extra $600 to get better seats. The ushers took me and my daughter all the way down to the front of the stage, and John was right in front of us! The smile and excitement on my daughter's face was worth that extra $600! Money comes and goes, but that memory will stay forever!
Dude your smile is literally contagious. Before I even hit play I seen that big smile. Ladies must love you! I grew up with this long hair stuff in the 80s. I don't prefer it now but it does bring back a bit of nostalgia
really love that smile😀
I was (again) thinking the same. Jovaughn's joy is so pure that it's actually good for my soul to watch his videos with him discovering songs that I highly resonate with as well ❤️
@@PsychoGallagher , for me too! I didn't realize it until I read these comments. He has such a freshness to him.
"Ladies must love you". LOL. Even my straight, male sweetie has a crush on J. How can you not!?!
His smile is beautiful and contagious.
I’ve seen Bon Jovi twice in concert...great entertainers & Jon Bon Jovi is an amazing humanitarian ❤️
I saw them twice during the 90's. They played 3 hour shows! An amazing band, but not the same since Richie left :(
Yes Bon Jovi does some amazing charity work, even works in his own soup kitchen for the poor.
@@robynhealy4535 I've been to JBJ Soul Kitchen in Redbank, NJ. It isn't a soup kitchen, it's really a restaurant where everyone sits together and you can eat there and pay what you can. If you can't pay, that's ok too. He is awesome!
I just love how you like everything. Your energy is keeping me smiling in these dark ass times...
Him " Is this A Rock Band?"
Me : Can't catch my breath on the floor dying from laughter.
Oh God !! I'm crying now.
Try "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi next.
Yes! Official video!
Yeah...my favorite of theirs.
My favorite too!
Yessss!!!! 💯
Yea!
Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead Or Alive (Official Music Video) ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES ! Thanks for doing a Bon Jovi tune. Saw them in person in the 80's, and they put on the best live concerts (them, Pink Floyd, and Bob Seger all did back then
I saw them 10 years ago in the uk it was immense!
"Wanted, Dead or Alive" and "You Give Love A Bad Name." 👍👍
@mysticpanther69 I bet Bob Seger was amazing!
@@whitelighttrainwreck3021 BIGTIME !! I've seen him about 9 times live. I would go every time he came to town or close by.
The hair, the leather... ❤️💫
Would you do “Blaze of Glory” next. Love this band♥️
That was a solo hit though! Still an epic song, can't lie.
Yeah!!..nice!!✌💛🤘
Jersey Boys my mom cut John's hair when he was a kid in Sayreville New Jersey at the beauty shop
Is that the town that his restaurant is in?
Did he ask for a ladies haircut or was he messed up in a true 'Rock n Roll fashion and didn't care?
What did your mum and other customers make of him?
Very interesting!
That's the coolest thing EVER !!!!!
I thought his father was a hair dresser and cut his hair?
Yes he was but all those barbers and hairdressers used to hang out together back in Sayreville New Jersey
It’s crazy to see someone just being introduced to a band or song I’ve listened to my whole life. I love it
Yea I use to wear my hair just like that a nasty perm and a metric ton of hair mousse oh my the good old days
Would've loved to live in that era, feel like I was born in the wrong era
We all did lol. We murdered the ozone layer with hairspray.
Omg the hairspray we used 😁
You should react to wanted dead or alive. You’ll love it!
Wanted dead or alive is a good one!
Bon Jovi Wanted Dead Or Alive next!!!
I am a 20 year who loves classic rock and old music which i have my dad to thank for. Growing up the likes of bon Jovi, guns n roses, acdc, iron maiden etc etc were constantly played in the car or around the house and still are. 😀
Bon Job has some great songs. Check out “Bad Medicine.”
All his songs are full of energy. "IT'S MY LIFE"
Gotta love 80s rock! My 25 and 22 year old girls love it too!!🥰
For me, watching you discover the music I have loved since i was a kid is pure joy! Keep rockin' my friend.
Great straightforward melodic uplifting rock song, an 80s classic!
You make me giggle at how much you enjoy this really old music and we grew up with it and this is the first time you’ve heard this. So refreshing
When Jon says “You live for the fight when that’s all that you got” gives me chills every time💯💯💯
Livin’ on a Prayer was released as a single in support of its parent album Slippery When Wet.
The song and the album itself was released in 1986.
Livin’ on a Prayer features guitar work from Richie Sambora and those sounds you’re hearing where it sounds like the guitar is saying, “wa, wa, wa,” the guitar is plugged into a talk box.
The talk box was used by tons of people and songs.
Joe Walsh used it for Rocky Mountain Way
Bon Jovi used it for Livin’ on a Prayer and It’s My Life
Peter Frampton was a frequent user of the talk box
The Eagles used the talk box for a song called Those Shoes
Earth, Wind and Fire used it for Let’s Groove.
1 of the best hair bands of the 1980’s
Great great group 🌟🌟🥰🌟🥰🌟
They got a huge catalog. I like "never say goodbye" and "living in sin"
There song Wanted Dead or Alive is good also
Absolutely official video!
I was on my way to Bon Jovi when my friends and I were in a head in on. We never made it to say the least but we did all survive the accident. That is what you call living on a wing and a prayer . Still love the Man and his band . Thank you so much for playing this 😉
Jon Bon Jovi is one of the nicest, most genuine, kindest people ever. He founded the JBJ Soul Kitchen...check it out...wonderful program.
Yeah, and didn't he marry his high school sweetheart over 30 years ago and they are still together...
Seen this tour back in the day. They were always fantastic live. Lots of energy and fun.
I love that you are discovering Bon Jovi. Seriously you can react to anything Bon Jovi and I'd tune in... and that guitar genius is Richie Sambora.
Bon Jovi - Thank you for loving me
This was the first concert I ever saw. It was mind blowing. I was 17 and watching this video brings me back to that absolutely awesome concert.
Saw them back in the 80s!Love them! You are opening the door to 80s hair metal/rock..this is an Awesome path!I was a rocker chick for sure during this time frame!lol
You are such an 80' s Rock kind of guy. Hahaha Hair Bands, baby!! IMAGINE being a teenager jamming the heck out of these tunes!! We were starving for it!! You should also check out the band Poison, too, if you haven't. ☺
Seen them live about 4 times. Always an amazing show. Richie is the star for me.
When I was in primary/grade school, all the boys listened to Bon Jovi and all the girls listened to NKOTB :) This was right around the revolution in 89 so it was all new and exciting. As I grew a little older I started to appreciate Bon Jovi and their music a lot more.
Bed of Roses, It's my life and Blaze of Glory are one of my favorites as well.
When they did a retrospective on the top 100 songs of the '80s THIS was the #1 song! Great stuff!
The lead singer is named Jon Bon Jovi. The name of the band is Bon Jovi.
Jovaughn, happy you're having fun listening, to this music but you're really still at the start, there's loads of bands left for you to discover. And, yes these boys are pumping it out.
So glad to have grown up in the 70/80s. The best music EVER! Jon Bonjovi also has 2 restaurants in Jersey called JBJ Soul Kitchen. You can either pay it forward with a donation or work an hour to pay for your meal. 💯
One of the best and ultimate HAIR bands Of the 80’s love Jon and Richie
so glad you discovered Van Halen and Bon Jovi, loved the reactions. now you're ready for Def Leppard. I suggest going in order with two songs, Rock of Ages (1983) and Pour Some Sugar On Me (1987). the official vids are the best versions. in between those two songs their drummer lost his left arm when he wrecked his Corvette. the band went dark for a couple years while he recovered and he is still their drummer today (his legs do a lot of his drumming).
The key change towards the end makes my soul explode.
If you watched the show "Everybody Hates Chris" this song is in the end of the final episode.
They were brilliant live. I saw them at the old Wembley stadium in London. It was one of the greatest days of my life.
Richie Sambora is the man! He’s lead guitar, high harmonies, and the cool talk box part at the beginning.
I think you just fell in love with what's called a "talk box" on guitar! Literally giving an instrument a voice. Guitarist Richie Sambora is a maestro!!
O yes we are rcoking now Jay let's go love it nice one ☺☺💖💕
Loved it! Thank you for your reaction ❤️😃👍✌️🌼
One of the biggest best
Top touring band whenever they go
Over 150 million records sold
Band together 40 years
Remarkable
I remember this was always a hit at the disco lol I'm showing my age now lol
Oh lordy. I'm flashin back. Saw this flying show on a Friday, went back to arena on Saturday to get tix for Sunday. This time we got seats near where he landed. I had no voice for days!!😍😍 *YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
*BAD MEDICINE
Great Rock bands are the ones that make you smile and get that good energy. 🌷
I still think this is one their best , can't praise it enough , I loved to dance to this , your turn Jay, go on you know you so want to , fantastic reaction keep it up 😉.
Bon Jovi was one of the first Hairbands. She Don't Know Me is my favorite from them.
Seen Bon Jovi in the 80's, you should do a reaction to "You give love a bad name".
Classic 80’s rock! ❤️ Saw Bon Jovi live in 1988. So much fun!!!
Ya know listening to these classic songs just fills me with sadness. Like what happened to music? We had 5 decades of amazing music and outstanding performances then the boybands of the late 90s became a thing and music has never recovered in well over 20 years. Will we ever find light in this darkness?
True story -- this album (Slippery When Wet) is the first ever album I had on CD. This is also one of the few bands that managed to stick together and never have any sort of internal fighting after years of being together. Individual members went on to do their own projects, notably Jon Bon Jovi (lead singer) and Richie Sambora (lead guitarist -- also an accomplished singer himself), but they've always come back together to put out albums and work together.
More 80°!!!!!!!!
My favorite Bon Jovi songs are:
1. Livin on a Prayer
2. You Give Love a Bad Name
3. Dead or Alive
4. It's My Life
5. I'll Be There For You
I can’t believe this song is almost 40 years old.
One of my all time faves - also check out thir songs: Blaze of Glory, Always, Runaway, Bed of Roses, It's My Life, I'll be There For You - I could keep listing but i'll stop here!
Bon Jovi is a wonderful rabbit hole to go down. Other hits are You Give Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive, It's My Life, and I'll Be There For You.
Awesome band you have to listen to more of there stuff.
Agreed!!!
Also check out
Europe - The Final Countdown
Scorpions - Winds of Change
Damn Yankees - High Enough
Noooo... Please can we leave the bad 80's rock big hair bands alone?
There's a reason It died a welcome death 😉
@@Brisvegas420 Every popular subgenre gets played out. The worst one being disco which caused a "Demolition Night", yet people still revisit those songs to this day just like 80s glam rock. They're not played out yet for the younger generations.
One of the best concerts I attended. The band is named after the Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi.
Must travel down the Bon Jovi Rabbit Hole!!! Sooooo many songs to hear!! Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer and an incredible human being! I miss Richie Sambora though ( he retired). Super talented! Jon and Richie were PERFECT together. They're Awesome!!!
I grew up on this music.Love the 80's.
This song & the Slippery When Wet album made Bon Jovi 80’s Rock Gods overnight! They have been making music & selling out concerts since that album came out.
I remember walking on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and seeing Bon Jovi posters. Hair for days and the pose. He was a pin up boy for sure. But he could also play and sing. Great talent.
I have a good friend that worked as a concierge for Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Twisted Sister and a few others during the 80s!! She grew up in New Jersey and knows many of them personally from her school days.
I'm so jealous of her HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
If you like this listen to Def Leppard..Pour Some Sugar on me..Its a great song
The traditional stripper song!😂
@@Jamie-lw5sy very true but any song from them is good
Any Def Leppard song is good...
He has now!
Armageddon It, Hysteria, Promises, Animal, Photograph are much better songs.
Slippery when wet sold 28 million copies. It was their best album. It had a lot of hits on it.Without love I'd die for you.It is just one of my favorites. Thanks😄
I hear this song every time i go to Dodger's stadium. they play this song during matches. now i know the singer and the name of song.
Love love this song, it’s an absolute banger! If I ever went on X Factor (I wouldn’t), this’d be my audition song... I wouldn’t reach the high notes, but I’d belt it out regardless!
I remember them playing this when I would go rollerskating when I was a young pup
Bon Jovi!!! Always one of the best!!!! ❤️❤️
WOW ! ! . . It's great seeing you love their music like we did years ago ! !
NOTHIN LIKE ROCK AND ROLL ! ! . . . 🎶🥁 . . 🎹 . . 🎶. . 💞
Bon Jovi is rocks pretty boy along with the lead guitarist Richie Sambora. The audiences always sing along and dance...just plain fun!!!
Praise the Rock n Roll Gods!!! Enjoy this journey!!!😊😊😊💜🎼🎶🎵
Great drummer and killer guitar player unique sound
80’s baby!!! Thanks for your reaction. This was in my wheelhouse
I like that you rewound after Richie's guitar solo at 3:17 - it's just after Jon sings "Tommy put his six-string in hock. Now he's holding in...when he used to make it talk so tough.....weooooughwhoooo....mmm...it's rough...wooooowdunooodunohhh..."
This song in the UK has been voted the best song of the 80’s many times over. The reason being it’s a timeless classic. Their song ‘Always’ and ‘Bed of roses’ were also massive hits in that decade, check them out. 80’s and 90’s had the best music - fact!
Bon Jovi are one of the better bands to come out of the '80's - and they're still going strong! Give a listen to "It's my Life" and "Bad Medicine" by them. Awesome!
My first big Arena rock concert. I was 13 and it was 1988! So awesome!
Such an amazing song and Bon Jovi is a legend
I love this song and now I remember who sang it lol. They are a marvellous band and I remember my baby son rocking to this, he has an interest in different music now but for a few years he liked fast music he could rock to. The harmonies are good too and they could certainly play their instruments. When you smile I smile too and its wonderful just watching you. God bless you all, love and hugs and peace to you all Mary-Ellen UK
Jon has some good music. Good human being who does some real good for people. Sure its weird walking in his restaurant and see him washing dishes. Love this song. Thanks.
This was when MTV was really the best and almost the only way for us to get to see what our music idols looked like and moved and sounded live! I would turn it on and dance around with them until the station went off late at night! They didn't stay on 24/7 back then. Bon Jovi was one of my first main crushes! After Elvis and The Beatles and Adam Cartwright on Bonanza! Oh the memories! Thanks for this so much! 🎶🤗🎧🎶👍
Best song of the entire 1980's, in my opinion!!!
