Compatible with POD HD500
10 Presets created from scratch that covers a wide variety of tones focused on the Modern Worship Guitar player. We took a considerable amount of time to bring this classic pedal up to date with tones that are relevant today. We also recorded a demo using a Telecaster type of guitar which is a standard guitar used by many players around the world. Although this is a great sounding pack we also recommend using Reverb pedals in the FX Loop of the unit to maximize the sound of it!

I just bought this pack, and tones are amazing! Worth every cent. Not only for the tones themselves, but with this, I can check the settings and learn how to create good tones myself, which is something I always struggled to do. The lead tones are usable for other genres too, not only worship music.

Great video! Thanks for highlighting this still-relevant, still-useful board! I used the predecessor, the HD500, for my worship sets. Even the older version is an absolutely capable pedal and is as relevant as the player has time to make it. Had to take a break due to family medical issues, but I still have the HD500 and an identical backup for when I can rejoin my team.

I have heard some real garbage coming from axe FX and Kemper because the players didn't know how to dial in a tone to save their lives. But I've heard amazing tones a line 6 pod hd500x and Pro. I have both units and still is them to this day

It's such a epic piece of gear and in my opinon sounds just as good if not better then modern amp modelers.
I still use my trusty hd500 in my covers band. It is still a decent option for not much cash

2024 and I just picked up an HD500 for $150. I set the guitar down 30 years ago and this little piece of magic has me wanting to learn everything out there.
I’m excited!!! Mines coming in this coming Friday. Buying one used but it looks new and can’t wait to tweak the x out of it lol

@@jieunlee6470 I like it. Better effects a little more complicated just cuz there’s more options. I finally got it down to download patches. Just need to figure out how to switch from one patch to another without having to to bend over to switch lol. But I do highly recommend getting one. A lot cheaper than a helix

The pod x3 live still sounds amazing. No wonder they dropped software support lol. With a $150 used x3 and a couple distortion pedals is basically as good as a helix
Last week I bought a POD X3 Live and a POD X3 Pro at under $200, for both! I'm still be able to use Line 6 GearBox to load and edit tones!

The best thing about my HD500X is that it controls my Variax Standard! I can go from 6 string to 12 string to different tunings and not even touch the guitar!!

What are the settings for your reverb and delay? cause for rhyhm theyre there but not as much as in a lead tone? Thats how your analog board is set up as well isn't?

Still using mine live with Blues Cube amp and recording/producing via Logic Pro. More than enough other than for the most demanding pro use - that's not me - I would think
Pain in the a** that the Line 6 editor is STILL not compatible with the Mac M1 a year down the line (even using Rosetta 2). tweaking FX manually with the knobs and buttons on the unit is a bit slow and fiddly.
I am keen to know how you get the patches to be all the same volume using one or multiple guitars.

If it sounds good, it’s still relevant. We love old amps and guitars. If they sound good, they sound good. I still run an eleven rack.
We love sounds of 50 years ago, so, even if digital, why it shouldn't be the same for the best multieffect pedalboard (under 1000 bucks) of the 2010?

I got mine used as well Just getting to know it. I got patches on there. Good ones. But I wasn’t that impressed with the Santana patches. I used to have the x3 live and the Santana patch s were right on. I wish I should of saved those lol

Are these patches setup to sound best being recorded directly into your DAW, or are they tweaked for running through a power amp through real speakers in the room?
I would like to know that as well. The old Pod XT still sounds awesome through a great tube amp.
There are multiple output settings, one for running directly to a cab, one for going into another head and cab, and one for going DI to your DAW. Hope this helps

How to get into that Dark Solo tone?
Its a great unit, but after purchasing a cheap NUX MG300, there isn't any comparison between 10 year old modelling tech vs todays algorithms.........at least in the rectifier zone. I always found the PODHD500X to have stellar reverbs, delays, and modulation fx. I have an issue with the MG300 as I cannot record via USB...nothing but noise, and I was thinking to try running the MG300 into the FX loop of the 500X to use it's rock-solid drivers for recording, but it wasn't working so I bought an interface to bypass the entire ordeal.

I had the POD GO, Helix LT and Helix Floor. I went back to the HD500X and returned them all.
Newer and more expensive does not mean better; EVEN with digital gear.
Seriously? I found this used around 180$.. is worth trying? I’m tired of my Garageband 😂 just want to try something new within budget.

Do it. I assure you it has a learning curve but you'll find some good stuff in it. I've upset more than one of my guitar buddies with it.

Es porque Dave tenía el Pack HD de amplis en la pedalera. Como la gran mayoría de nosotros no los tenemos, el preset no funciona

i downloaded these to my pod hd500x and they sound nothing like how they’re demonstrated. they sound incredibly crunchy and no real punch at all. is the EQ the same in the patch as it is in the demo?
