A route I've been meaning to do for a while as part of my project to cover obscure bus routes in Buckinghamshire.
Very few people know the 73 exists let alone know about it. I however do know about it and can tell you it's a rural mystery tour south of Amersham that is definitely worth doing. Who said cowboy independents aren't fun, eh?
It goes from Ley Hill to Coleshill via Penn Street. Then on the way back, it heads down Gore Hill to Amersham and resumes normal route to Ley Hill. But to get from Winchmore Hill to Coleshill, it has to go back onto the A404 for a minute before climbing New Road and entering Coleshill village.
Also included in this video is a short diversion via the A413 which added 1 minute 30 seconds of thrash I otherwise wouldn't have got if Whielden Street wasn't closed. Result!
This bus was working Route 73 between Chesham Broadway (Stop A) and Coleshill, The Red Lion PH via Penn Street

It’s not that good. You can clearly hear that Red Rose haven’t been looking after this bus very well but even then, it does still sound good though.
In a way, I’d say it made this ride more interesting!

I mean, it is still a hellfire beast and I filmed it for a reason. But at the same time, it’s not the best Dart I’ve done and Red Rose haven’t been looking after it as well as they should have been
@@ChilternTransportProductions 😂 yeah they don't really look after there buses like to be a bit agressive (like arriva)
It’s true that a lot of them do drive quite quickly and probably abuse the buses a bit but it’s mainly just Red Rose not keeping them tidy, or in good nick in general. They don’t really care about much to be honest
What bus company do you prefeer in Aylesbury out of red rose(red line and red egle) Arriva Z&S transport star travle btw i live in aysebury so this is why i know good video btw

I prefer none of the above. I’d choose Vale Travel instead because although they’re not top of the range, they keep their Yxxx TGH batch of Darts in much better nick than the ones Red Rose have and seem to provide a better service too
Unlike Red Rose, they actually are based in Aylesbury!

And its sad to see red rose/line/eygle having Silver rider 1, 50, 61, 650 taken from arriva and Z&S transport
