They are strong enough to be able to go across the ring like that without any middle support 2. Support in the middle or if the beams were supporting those on top more it would actually make the ring too hard to bump in. You want the ring to have some give to help absorb the impact :)
This is honestly super cool, I expected actual less padding because of just how folk style wrestling has, i’m use to the hard mats, or MMA rings
