Momin one small suggestion. Please reverse the award announcement format. So instead of “Zaviyar as Areeb”, it should be “Areeb played by Zaviyar”. Because you’re giving the award to the character, not the actor. In real life we give awards to the actor, not the character. Hence the reversing.
Frankly don’t even need to mention actor. Can be just the character and drama. Because Amma is ‘critiquing’ the story/narrative, not the acting skill.

For Sar-e-rah: I think they’re basically trying to show that the world isn’t changing and you can’t change people, as women (or other “minorities”) who are stuck in a chaotic society you have to take steps for yourself. In the first episode Saba’s character took a stand for her life, the second episode Sunita’s character took a stand for her life, the third episode Saboor’s character had to take a stand for herself. You can’t always force society to change for yourself, they’re trying to give a more realistic approach. Dramas always pretend like everyone becomes an angel towards the end and it becomes a happy ending when in real life thats not the case. Sunita’s character had to leave and go live her life as well. And I think thats what they’re going to try to show for Muneebs character as well, that society doesn’t change but he tries to make his life better as a trans person.

I am watching "Yunhi". I also noticed Dr. Naveed wali mistake. And we also have relatives who live abroad. No one behaves like kim. She is so over and her accent is so bad.
I completely agree with you about "Sar e Rah". Last week's episode was bad. Actually, the writing was confusing and they failed to settle the story in the right manner.
Momin, you are right about saba's character. I also felt this. She knows everything. Her language is so right. Such a polished character. Although in the story she is not educated and comes from a lower class.

I really enjoy amma reviews. They are hilarious and gives you non stop laughter. I just wanted to add here in yonhi drama dr. Navid did say that I can't put the IV on my daughter coz in states staff does these things which is absolutely true. But the point was as a doctor and a father who is bringing his daughter first time he should come prepared as we all pack our meds when we visit Pakistan.

Spot on with Yunhi review! Oh gosh, I feel I HAVE to watch it because of all the big names, but really, it is awful, very badly made.

Kim’s personality is completely contradictory to American culture. I am not talking uneducated/jaahil, I am talking normal educated families. Americans are very trusting by nature and her saying “Jhoot bol raha hai”, he’s a liar , liar is something I can expect from a Pakistani girl but not American. Calling a person a terrorist based on his appearance is also something that would never happen in USA unless it’s the backwaters but would likely lead to suspensions from school/college and termination from job on grounds of Islamophobia. And making fun of a persons name and insisting on calling them something else is also an unlikely scenario given the socio-economic status of Kim’s dad. The writer basically has zero exposure to American culture and her bigotry and narrow mindedness is showing through in the script
