Great video. My wife hit a mailbox and damaged the head light, hood, bumper and grill. This video was perfect for showing how to disassemble the front end and replace everything. Thank you!
Thanks for the helpful info!! LOL, I now know to sell my car before trying to change the headlight assemblies!! Not many people use speedwrenches anymore! Keep up the traditional mechanics!
Thanks for this video - my 2009 is only a tad different, but certainly close enuf. My HID headlamps are slightly different, but not enough to make it overly difficult. Except for purchasing replacement assemblies, which are shockingly big money. But I appreciate the step-by-step approach, and the reassembly. Bravo Team 1A.

I am trying to replace my headlights on my car. I cannot find the correct HID headlight assembly. Where did you find yours? The assembly I bought is not the same. Thanks
Headlight housings? you have to take off either a fender liner, fender, grille, or bumper to take off a headlight housing on most makes and models. Nissan ain’t bugging nearly as hard as Chevy or dodge on this one
I was going to install LED bulbs on my 09 after I replaced the assemblies. I'm going to wet sand the old ones. Removing the assemblies to too much work. Removed assemblies on a 16 Edge takes 15 minutes. Nice work on the MO.
A word to the wise , DO not use Leds. The projector`s on these headlight assembly`s can Not handle the high heat , and will Burn out the projector`s causing Dim headlight`s , the projector`s are the mirror shine behind the light bulb that makes the light beam outward , if you have very dim headlight`s then yours are burned out , around one hundred a piece . great video changing ours , now that this video showed me I can do it .Thank you very much 1 A Auto and the young lady doing this Demo .
So be honest, how many breaks did you take off-camera to curse, stomp, and rip out handfuls of hair? Your calm patience was hypnotic, and the job itself talked me right the hell out of doing this on my son's 09 Murano! Thanks.

I purchased a set of replacement lights just like the ones shown and they do not fit. The halogen type does not fit the 2010 Murano i have due to HID Xenon Ballast type box connection not included. They are HID type lights.
Very useful video and used it to replace both HID Assemblies to Halogen because I am NOT paying ~$1800 JUST for headlights,,, NOPE- Halogens work very much great enough for ~$135 a pair instead! The bling bling is definitely not worth it. I used the original HID harness as well. I also changed the radiator, condenser, bumper cover and hood in that same process. Only issue is that "weird" pink blinker socket. My HID harness does not have this blinker socket pigtail and I cant figure out the nomenclature of this pink/gray socket in order to find it's associated pigtail. Soo, Duralast Headlight Socket 300 is working for now,,, um for dry weather since it's def not water resistant at all. I had to retrofit to appropriate associated pigtails for the blinker, high and low beam lights in this vid which was no biggy realy. Big gray ballast wire is low beam on this vids headlight (pig tail for H11) and the w5w (HID low beam/running light?) plug serves as the high beam plug for this vids headlight (pig tail for HB4). I spliced the side marker light to one of the two wires at the blinker socket and wired the expected blinker power wire to the other wire at the socket. I had to solder the original blinker ground wire directly to the universal socket and all was good. So total of three wires attached to socket- two power wires and one ground wire soldered directly to metal socket).
Great info - I was looking for that exact info myself. My HIDs are too dim (not the ballast or xenon bulbs, replaced both and no change) and no easy way to retrofit to LED (much brighter than halogen or HID) as you can get 10k lumen bulbs so I what to do what you did. I have soldering skills & heat shrink. Is the high beam tied to the shutter? I have the service manual and will look for these connectors. What other complications did you run into in replacement? For some reason, the marker bulbs on one side no longer work (between center of hood and high beams), not looking forward to fixing this without retrofit to LED. I think the bulbs are either 55W or 65W each, can the harness/relay/fuse provide sufficient current? Where did you get your replacement halogen headlights, Amazon or ? Thanks!!
Nissans are jokes, even the best cant wrap their head around what the manufacturer were thinking when they designed these muranos and some other their other models.
Yeah right....i would have immediately broken about every tab and clip on this whole vehicle and made a tragic mess....i would rather just duct tape 2 maglights on either side of the car and make her work! 😂
It only took me 30 minutes to change out the assemblies on my wife's Dodge Caliber. This looks like way too much labor and the assemblies cost about $500-600 for the pair. I think I'll just try to clean up the old ones.
Painful video to watch... I actually made it to the halfway point and threw in the towel. There are a number of common sense shortcuts that could have been taken. Why would I take guidance from someone who isn't even sure of their own process?

So for the fog lights you need to remove the radiator and the transmission?
Amazing work--You have the patience of Job to take on a repair like this👍👍

Yep you basically have to remove the entire front to remove those stupid headlights❗

My sister-in-law needs new xenon hid assemblies. We saw the passenger side for $993.95 and the driver's side for 1,151.99!
There’s no way you have to take the entire bumper cover off to replace the headlights?? Thanks Nissan 👍🏼

I thought about changing the headlight assembly. Huh, not anymore.
Too much trouble just to replace headlights

So she breaks the clips at 5:04, but at 17:10 she doesn't know and hopes for it to lock back in... How does that make sense?

Do you have any videos on changing the headlight assembly on 2016 Nissan Murano? I could not find any videos from any source. Thank you
Maybe you could do a video on replacing the bulbs for a 2011 Nissan Murano LE I would certainly find it helpful

What do you call the tool that is used to take out the body clips?

Same problem on my 2009 murano. Discovered issue after removing HID lights.
I wish I'd watched this before ordering headlamps.
You didn't have to remove the fuel tank to do that?

She does really good I work on cars too n I always use a clip tool but the tool what she used for the top clips is really good I’m going to get it :D

Gracias campeona.
What happened to the FFwd feature. Good grief.
wow, didn't know I had to remove the engine to replace the headlights. lol. Bad design Nissan.
