As someone who was in symphonic and marching band in high school I can only say that this performance was definitely short of last year's. That being said for what I can hear it was played well but I believe we have a case here is some of the band members may have played in a forte setting when they should have been pianissimo. It's happened to my band and if you play the crescendos wrong and can mess up the harmonics a bit. That's not the the music or the performance is bad it's just one of those unfortunate things that happens. I mean I'm no musical major but I'm just taking my best educated guess here
