- It was time to replace the hand guards on Jens 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan, the right guard had been bent and cracked after a wreck, so she decided to go for the Acerbis X Factor Hand Guards. We have the Acerbis X Factor Hand Guards installed on a couple other motorcycles and think they work great and they are an easy install so that helped with Jens decision.
This video shows a step by step install of the Acerbis X Factor Hand Guards and just how easy it is! We have these guards installed on a Yamaha XT250 and a Honda CRF300L also, installation on these bikes was also easy!

Thank you Jen. I also have a Himalayan and don't have any handguards as yet. When I talked to a local bike shop, they made it sound like a big deal to try and install andsuggested I book in for them to install. I'm going to give it a go myself now!
How did it go? Thanks for watching btw!
Good job Jenn with the installation of the new hand guards, you made it look easy. If you decide later to upgrade the foot pegs on your Himalayan see Dave's video on how to. Keep up the good work both of you, your videos are enjoyable.
Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Thanks for the video. I used the transcript to keep up with what you were saying as the audio was a bit spotty. Good camera work, helped me stay engaged.
*end with double entendre about the adaptors "thin one & thick one" here*
I think they are just the handle bar end weights. I installed bark buster storms and just used what was there.
Those look nice and strong.
hmm, Was Not Planning On Adding To My Bike But Im Really Liking The Look! Thanks For Sharing!!
The "Spacers" are bar end weights. They come on the bike even if you dont get the hand gaurds. Most aftermarket kits usualy assume that you have them.
nice. looking forward to information durability. thanks.
I went with the tusk flex pro, it has a pivot point at the inner handle bar attachment so it was an easier fit. The Acerbis guards look really nice though, like the white with the carbon fiber look. The double take enduro mirrors are the way to go, I wish I would have gotten those rather than the ADV ones for my KLR.
I've got those on my KLR, work just fine.
It appears that Barkbusters is no longer selling the version of the hand guards that is compatible with the Himalayan and has a 2-point mount.
Do the new knuckle guards hit your instrument cluster or front windscreen at extreme positions?
No problems thus far...
Are You able to lock the handlebar after fitting this?
Yes! Thanks for watching.
