i feel like caitlin eventually loses everyone she cares about so she shuts off her humanity and goes off to work on something in antarctica to distance herself but while shes working on gathering a sample in a cave, it collapses on her and she has no escape so its only a matter of time before she dies but she has some chemicals with her and somehow that & the snow, it triggers something and gives her powers.

I feel like the show did a bad job with dealing with all of the tramua that these characters go through. Like sure they get a therapist eventually, but that's in season 4. I wish that they had done a episode kinda like 6x6 of agents of shield (if you don't know that show you will be confused) where all the characters (or at least some of them) express their feelings and deal with all the bad stuff that happens to them. To be fair some of the characters (Barry, Iris and Joe) freely talk about what's bothering them. But other characters (mostly Caitlin and a little of Cisco) repress their emotions and shove it deep until it all come up at once.
After season 2 we never get to see Caitlin dealing with the death and betrayal of Ronnie and Jay, it's like they disappeared from her life, as if they weren't important people in who she is today. And once we got to season 4 we see none of her quiet nature, and she's outgoing and funny (and a little hipster). So what I would like to see is how she went from guarded to open.
Sorry for the rant, this was supposed to be a short comment but it got away from me 😀😀
