    The third Gukesh vs Giri game was not Armageddon, the format was sudden death blitz games until someone wins. White started with less time to make it fairer.

      wait, why isn't this more common lmao this sounds like a far simpler and still-quite-fair way to do sudden death with blitz games.
      for whatever reason armageddon seems more common instead, and that requires bidding for black which is actually weirder for those new to chess tournaments.

      There are a lot of GMs doing reviews and mumbling about deep lines. But look at your ranking and you will know that you dont need to learn from a GM yet.

    Gukesh vs Anish final game was not Armageddon. It was a sudden death match, that goes on till first person wins. Black gets an extra 30 seconds to compensate for White's advantage.

    Hi Gotham!
    It is not an Armageddon, but a sudden death. You just need to win one. Therefore white gets a disadvantage.
    We talked to the person that designed the new format for the tiebreaker 3 years ago in Wijk aan Zee today. He explained the format. He told us that they talked to many Grandmasters and this is the amount of time reduction that they decided upon.
    For determining who plays which color. The person that played black in the previous game gets the white pieces first. So that is just drawn randomly. Then, if it is a draw, the person that started with white gets black for the next 2 games (if they keep drawing).

    Cool anyways. Here's the recipe for brownies
    1 cup unsalted butter
    2 cups sugar
    4 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
    Cooking instructions
    Preheat oven to 375 F and Greece 9x13-inch baking pan
    In a medium pan melt butter on low. Remove from heat and add sugar and eggs and vanilla extract until mixed well
    In a separate bowl sift sugar, flower, baking soda, cocoa, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients stirring until combined
    Pour the mix into the baking pan evenly.
    Bake in the oven for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out moist not wet
    Let cool for 30 minutes then cut and enjoy
