I’ve received a Brazilian blowout twice now in my life by a really great hairdresser. And I have not seen any excessive damage...or actually, any damage that I can actually see. My hair maintained its overall health and softness. I really think it has a lot to do with the integrity of your hair before the treatment, if your hair is already really damaged and has a lot of breakage, I wouldn’t imagine it’d be a very good idea to do it. But if your hair has an over ally healthy appearance already and doesn’t have excessive damage, I see no issue. Our hair is already dead....and all the products we use to try and make the hair not look dead is a consistent job. I’ve seen people with damaged looking hair who’ve never used heat in their entire life....in essence....live your best life.
@@analea6531 It lasts 3 months before the frizz actively returns. But I have noticed this second treatment did overall lessen the amount of frizz I have in general. My hair dresser told me the more times you do the treatment in your hair, the better it takes.
Exactly. I've seen people who never color or use any kind of heat with horrible ugly looking hair. I oil my hair with castor oil and olive oil at least once a week and my hair went from super dry and Matty yo shiny and smooth. I also rub just a tad bit of the oil mix the next day to keep my ends from drying up. I've got colored hair (Garnier Olia nothing else harsh) and I use heat after every wash
The first few times I had Brazilian keratin my hair were extremely heat damaged from blow drying and flat ironing my hair once a week. My hair got so straight after that I barely used any heat on my hair year after and that’s how I was able to achieve long hair down my back. My naturally curly and wavy hair would break if I let them natural and they would break if I tried straightening them. I tried all kinds of treatments and potions nothing worked before the keratin.
So you're hair is now silky and straight. How long does this style usually last until it starts to get frizzy again and requires straightening or another blowout? Considering getting one myself and would like more information.
Beautiful and so shiny! I’m only a cosmetology student and I struggle with natural hair. So afraid of damaging the hair. Thank you for showing the technique. The results are stunning!
Hello, I love your video, the end result was gorgeous!!! I am planning to try this method on my hair soon, I had a few questions...I notice you didn't use a heat protectant, is that because the product also serves as a heat protectant? Also how long does this straightening process typically last? Does the hair revert back to kinky/curly once it gets moist/wet?

Sorry for this question but, for this type of curly hair that is similar to mine, is better the Brazilian, keratin or perms to reduce the curl, but also not damaging our natural hair a lot. I have perms procedures every 6 months, I’m 1 year perm free, but I don’t like this natural journey and looking for some good treatment ...
There is no such thing as heat damage, unless the hair is frizzy and burnt, that's heat damage, if the hair is straight at the ends after wash, it's not heat damage, it's the hair was trained to stay straight. Your hair can be trained to stay straight without chemicals.
It is heat damage- Burning is extreme head damage, but when it's straight, it means that the bonds in the hair that maintain the structure of a curl have broken down to the point of just staying straight/limp. That same thing happens when you over process curly hair with chemicals, so it can occur from heat or chemical damage
I want to do this so bad as my hair is quite long now but i’m very active and also a professional dancer and i sweat alot!! How do i stop it from reverting?

I'm a former professional hairstylist and the young lady definitely needed a major trim. Her hair was very dry with split ends. I realize that most women don't want to cut their hair if it's considered long but when it's extremely split and dry...the only thing that can bring it back to its beautiful luster with shine is a regular trimming in between hair appointments. Women but African American women who are blessed with long , beautiful hair is not a easy feat. Hair requires regular trims along with occasional deep penetrating conditioners and minimal amounts of heat being applied to the hair. I just want to say one other thing...the hairstylist did an absolutely fabulous job on the young woman's hair color. The young woman is fortunate that her stylist was capable and knowledgeable about her hair coloring procedures.
You seem like the type that’s scissors happy and the reason I do my own natural hair. She trimmed a good amount. She has textured hair. Of course it wouldn’t be bone straight, especially to avoid heat damage. The trimming was the best part. Scroll back and watch.
BEST balyage on natural black hair I've seen. You did a terrific job, truly! I cringed a little with all of the 450 degree heat passes, but if her hair is healthy (and it looks to be so) it can probably take it. The end result was fabulous! If you get to NYC ping me as I'm looking to get the color done!
after the first wash does hair remain straight or slightly curly, would the clietnt have to blow dry and straighten each was day? which is more preferable this or a keratin treatment for afro hair.
Im not familiar with the care of curly hair like this but I'vee seen plenty of ways of straightening curly hair. My question is, how long does the hair stay straight and do u do normal washings. Does the hair go back to curls after the first wash???
The stylist has replied to other comments saying that it should last 4 to 6 months with proper maintenance. It won’t revert to curls with washing it as long as you wrap the hair up every night.
Hair hair looks so beautiful! My straight hair and stretched hair is so easy to maintain I love being a straight natural not every has curls but a kink and a fro
I like that you started with the back of her hair and not on the sides. I did mines like this but I had to go at it alone. I bleached, wasn't satisfied , then dyed it back black twice 🙄. Then I went for it again and mines came out similar but not as gorgeous as hers. You did an excellent job.
EuqinaD the finished product is very pretty, you did a great job. Question, what was the pasty product that you brushed on her hair right before you blowdryed it? And, how long did you let her hair sit under the plastic cap before you stated flat ironing it? Did she have to sit under the dryer with the plastic cap on?
I miss when I had balyage done on my hair it looked so good can't believe I went for a wash and set and my color came out to a different a dry brown color and my hair was frizzy and puffy as if I went under the rain or water I should have sticked stylist I go to because people want play in my or ask questions on my hair and what nationality and suggest they use a product that doesn't work on my hair and I leave out with hair smelling not so good I need my to smell like the product not like blow dryer it flat iron .the color looks so good her hair took very well to her hair I know she loves it your amazing 👍👏♥️
Your hair looks beautiful! just make sure you deep condition your hair atleast 1 time a week start and concentrate on the ends of your hair first .Starting with the ends of your hair is the most beneficial, because the ends of our hair are always the oldest, driest, and most prone to breakage and splitting. By starting with your ends, you allow them a little more time to soak up and adsorb all of the deep conditioning goodness your product has to offer.
So beautiful! I have a natural Afro that’s OUT. OF. CONTROL. and this video gave me hope of actually straightening my hair with a Brazilian Blowout. 😍💕✨
Question: would teasing be necessary for a balyage on natural hair? Asking bc I feel like the natural kink in the hair would ensure that everything is blended without having to tease.
Olivia Pruitt Absolutely. You’ll definitely have a line if you don’t tease. You don’t have to go crazy on the tease but it’s a must if you want seamless blend. 😊😘
I’m SSUUUCCCHHHH an Aveda girl but hey serious question here. When working on type dark textured 3&4 hair I typically start with a 10 vol and work my way up to 30 if not 40 depending on how fast I’m working. I’m at a new salon and the owner (not an Afro girl but specialize in curly cutting) says I shouldn’t be using any vol over 10 to lift. As both a stylist and brown skinned girl , how do you feel about this info she gave me? I’m confident continuing what I do but as a curl expert I want to at least consider what they are saying....
I surely wanted to see the complete end result after rinsing out solution from hair. Will hair stays as straight as the after picture shown? I wondered.
I am interested in getting one of these but am afraid to lose my curls. Once it’s time to wash hair or even 2 months later what will the hair look like? I used to get relaxers and HATED The stringy hair with the curly new growth look in between treatments.
Does brazilian blowout make your hair soft and stuff or its just makes your hair str8 ? Because when i wash my hair and use i dont want my hair to be str8
Wao beautiful work. People love to assume that heat damage. They don’t understand every texture is different and that a Brazilian blowout is a keratin and required that amount of passes and heat. Don’t mind them amazing work!

Thank you beautiful😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍💜
Looks great. I know you have a lot of questions about heat damage. But do you apply heat protection?
Yes I do.
after the first wash does hair remain straight or slightly curly, would the clietnt have to blow dry and straighten each was day? which is more preferable this or a keratin treatment for afro hair.
Amazing ! So beautiful hair 👍👍👍
Thank you kindly 😊🙏😘
Im not familiar with the care of curly hair like this but I'vee seen plenty of ways of straightening curly hair. My question is, how long does the hair stay straight and do u do normal washings. Does the hair go back to curls after the first wash???
The stylist has replied to other comments saying that it should last 4 to 6 months with proper maintenance. It won’t revert to curls with washing it as long as you wrap the hair up every night.
Uhm this is insanity gorgeous you must be some kind of magician girl im blown away and wish you could slayify my hair
Awwwwww😊😊😊💛😊. Iol I wish I was a magician 🤣. Thank you so much for you so much😍❤️💚.
I really admire your work!
Wow Thank you tremendously 🙏🏾🥰❤️
@@EuqinaD You're welcome!
WHAT IS THAT CALLED THAT YOU ARE PUTTING ON HER HAIR. IS IT A CHEMICAL OR SOME TEXTURIZER?
@@debragainey8109 Why are you yelling?
EuqinaD the finished product is very pretty, you did a great job. Question, what was the pasty product that you brushed on her hair right before you blowdryed it? And, how long did you let her hair sit under the plastic cap before you stated flat ironing it? Did she have to sit under the dryer with the plastic cap on?
That’s beautiful hair!
Thanks 💚❤️💚❤️❤️💚
Beautiful!!! 💕 Is there a way to maintain without damage?
Minimal heat & Deep Conditioning. Thank You 💕🙏🏾💖
Her hair is giving! Just beautiful :)
Awww I’m sorry about your experience 😩🙁 I hope you’ve found someone by now! Thank you sooo much 🙏🥰😘
Your hair looks beautiful! just make sure you deep condition your hair atleast 1 time a week start and concentrate on the ends of your hair first .Starting with the ends of your hair is the most beneficial, because the ends of our hair are always the oldest, driest, and most prone to breakage and splitting. By starting with your ends, you allow them a little more time to soak up and adsorb all of the deep conditioning goodness your product has to offer.
Thank you.i will do that from now on was not told tht by my beautician
So beautiful! I have a natural Afro that’s OUT. OF. CONTROL. and this video gave me hope of actually straightening my hair with a Brazilian Blowout. 😍💕✨
Thank you so much! I am so glad I was able to help ❤️ And I’m sure your hair look beautiful regardless💕
rj howard she's such a beautiful girl and her hair looks lovely!!
Does it remain straight like this even after washing
Wish someone answered
No. It’s smoother but you still have to style it.
I'm so proud of you GIRL LLLLLLLLLLLL🤗🤗😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Thank you so much.🙏👍😘😍😊
Beautiful, how do you keep this from reverting in the hot, humid Tampa Floria weather?
Question: would teasing be necessary for a balyage on natural hair? Asking bc I feel like the natural kink in the hair would ensure that everything is blended without having to tease.
Olivia Pruitt Absolutely. You’ll definitely have a line if you don’t tease. You don’t have to go crazy on the tease but it’s a must if you want seamless blend. 😊😘
@@EuqinaD I see that u use Oliplex, does that repair the hair from the teasing?
Yes
Her hair looks amazing! Great job👍
Thank you💛😍💛😍💛
What color is this? It’s gorgeous!
I would love to get a Brazilian Blowout, but I don't want my natural hair texture to come back (excluding the growth). Is that possible?
I’m SSUUUCCCHHHH an Aveda girl but hey serious question here. When working on type dark textured 3&4 hair I typically start with a 10 vol and work my way up to 30 if not 40 depending on how fast I’m working. I’m at a new salon and the owner (not an Afro girl but specialize in curly cutting) says I shouldn’t be using any vol over 10 to lift. As both a stylist and brown skinned girl , how do you feel about this info she gave me? I’m confident continuing what I do but as a curl expert I want to at least consider what they are saying....
I’m getting my hair dyed and blown out .. I have 4c hair.. how long would the blow out last ??
Can you tell me what products did you use? And what Heat protector did you use? Wonderful job, love it
Why are these videos so satisfying to watch 😍
Idk😅I'm glad it's satisfying to you 💙💙
Wow! It looked great just blowed out. I want that without the press. It was beautiful both ways.
Thanks 💕💕
This is BEAUTIFUL
Thank you so much. ❤😘👌🙏😍
I can’t wait to get my kit! I have been wanting to see this done on curly hair. Great job!
Arlene Augusta I hope you get it soon 😊 Thank you 🙏❤️
EuqinaD I did get and I love it!
Beautiful! Great work Queen!👌🏾
Thank you so much 💚💕💚💕
Thank you so much 💚💕💚💕
I surely wanted to see the complete end result after rinsing out solution from hair. Will hair stays as straight as the after picture shown? I wondered.
Sorry you didn't see that.
It will stay straight.
WOWWWW AWESOME BEAUTIFUL 👐👐👏👏👏👍👍👌👌🤗🤗🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🕊️🙏
Thank you 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Gorgeous girl and hair!!!
Thank yoe😸
I am interested in getting one of these but am afraid to lose my curls. Once it’s time to wash hair or even 2 months later what will the hair look like? I used to get relaxers and HATED The stringy hair with the curly new growth look in between treatments.
Hi, Love the colour. Did you mix it yourself? What should I tell my hair dresser?
Her hair looks amazing!
Thank you so much 👍🙏 I really appreciate it🙂😘☺️
Absolutely beautiful 🤩 wow phenomenal job
She AND the hair are gorgeous
Thank you. 🙏😘
Love this hair video..question was that a full or half bayalage color that you done on your model..love the outcome absolutely gorgeous..thanks 💯
This looks good. What is that cream that you put on her hair before the blowout? Is this a highlight and low lights (if such thing) tell me pls?
Does brazilian blowout make your hair soft and stuff or its just makes your hair str8 ? Because when i wash my hair and use i dont want my hair to be str8
Wao beautiful work. People love to assume that heat damage. They don’t understand every texture is different and that a Brazilian blowout is a keratin and required that amount of passes and heat. Don’t mind them amazing work!
Thank you 🙏
