      Michelle Auville. Yeahhhh.........but just think of what a bigger audience his story would get being on Rogans podcast. Over 6m subs...and over 3m for his clips lol. I don’t think that anyone EVER disagreed that he should have his own podcast.....clearly he should. People are just saying that being on Rogan could provide such a huge jump in people learning about him, that could then translate into his own successful podcast. I like how you say that “everyone knows his story”. Lol. Think.... then type.

    • @wiggywu
      @wiggywu 4 роки тому +7

      Because that's how it works with small units, they are sent ahead to secure places and dig in so more can come behind. It's easier to send a small mostly unnoticeable squad into a place to set up a base than to move a lot of equipment into a place without kicking shit off. Look up the war documentary "restrepo" and you might get a better idea. I am an ex Cavalry Scout in the US Army specializing in small unit movement tactics. On the flip side of us moving in small teams the enemy can do the same, they're advantaged though because they don't wear uniforms and they can just come out of the woodwork and all of a sudden there are 25 of them. War is insane.

Come home to college kids telling me that fighting in the Middle East is easy because we out number and out gun the enemy, and in my experience it was always the other way around. We couldn't get air support, and they wouldn't authorize artillery strikes 99.9% of the time. Even been in situations where we were told there was no MEDEVAC available, and I was usually fighting people who were dug in and set up with mortars dialed into the kill zone, machine gun nests, and IEDs all over the place. Awesome stuff, respect. Did anyone notice when it was said that ... "a leader is supposed to stay back, stay inside on the radio with higher ups"? What people don't realize is that for every solid Soldier or Marine that is honorable and worthy of respect... there are three more who are shit bags. This culture of "leaders" hiding in the office and staying busy on a computer is so toxic.

    • @tannerthurman5158
      @tannerthurman5158 4 роки тому +1

      It’s also important though. They have leadership training and can coordinate more effectively than most. That’s why they’re leaders; they can take the responsibility to push the papers and utilize effective communication to formulate a plan of action. There’s always going to be scummy people, but for many people, doing an office job is how they can serve their country and that’s okay too.

    • @A1soldiersaint
      @A1soldiersaint 4 роки тому +1

      @@tannerthurman5158 i was not trying to discount or troll my brothers awesome survival or service. The reason that i decided to comment is because i have lived it. People outside the military need to know that the military has toxic leadership. People need to know that instead of training my Soldiers leaders often have to do paperwork that has nothing to do with the mission, and that political correctness is being forced on us in a way that compromises our time to do training, how & where we train, as well as general military authority. This is what i'm talking about Tanner. As a leader fighting a culture (along with many other leaders) that promotes nco's sitting behind a desk as duty has robbed us of much; mentorship, task proficiency, knowledge, and physical & mental hardness developed by being the fick outside in the heat and cold and organizing, planning, training, and doing. The general public would be disgusted if they knew what was really going on.

    You are one of the toughest guys I have ever heard of to get through what you did but remember we were in their country for no reason but greed and I know it sucks for them not having uniforms on but we are firing at them from unmanned drones!

    I am an x 0331/51....love kyle and marines....however we have been duped and to say that "rebel" guerilla fighters who have been fighting 4 decades invading forces who have no business in their country r cowards is foolish. We r the cowards with a superior (technilogically) military...now most of our oppression in Afghanistan is via drones the most cowardly type of warfare ever used.....we must wake up and speak truth....this takes nothing away from the sacrifice and heart of kyle...an inspiration 4sure...

    Yeah, Afghanistan in RC south was a doozy. Did my deployment in Kandahar province (Canadian). Taliban would toss grenades over walls. Was brutal. Constantly getting ambushed pushing through grape rows in farmers back yards. Guys ambushing from a field or two away, and then during BDA's having to find the weapons cache but nothing but "farmers" left in the area.
