The letters arent a ranking. Its the first letter of their ability. They get a letter and then an ability tied to it manifests. Two people can have the same letter but different abilities. Ywach and Uryu are both A but they have very diff abilities
Some of the strongest quincy have letters in the middle of the alphabet, but the top of the top are in the first couple letters (A,B, etc...)
Kinda, but considering X is 3 top strongest of the whole bunch. It is kinda random except maybe A and B being in top positions of power (not strength).

- The start sequence was a nice hint towards the Origin of Yhwach
- Glad you took note of it but Yhwach is blatantly lying to the Quincy Army, he says that the Shinigami attacked them, but we know that 1000 years ago Yhwach invaded the Soul Society. This aligns with what we were told about Yhwach, that he uses his subordinates as pawns, like any capable warmonger you need to give your army a justified reason to rally behind.
- For the few confused people Uryu was not Born of 2 Echt Quincy, so he should have been targeted like all the others. This means that there is something special about him that made him immune to that process.
- Many forget how impressive Uryu is. With his Immature powers he was able to easily defeat and nearly kill a Captain, Imagine how strong he'd be using the new Volstanding Technique (Which doesn't sacrifice your power), plus he's getting a Schrift from Yhwach.
- The approach to war here seems to mimic what the Germans did in WW2 called a "Blitzkrieg", meaning "Lighting War" this was an aggressive swift offensive using overwhelming force
-The Vizards are fixing distortions within space caused by the imbalance of souls. You can see one of the rips in space beside Lisa.
- Many theorize that Shunsui is lying about the percentage of Ichigo not being able to return. This is arguably being done to put Ichigo friends at ease.
- Not many think on Ryuken (Uryu's Father) and his distate for the Quincy Lifestyle. Few reaction have brought it up, we learned in Cour 1 that Ryuken was a steadfast practitioner of the Quincy life so what did he learn or come to understand that would make him completely abandon it. We also learned that Uryu's Grandfather, Soken, was even more into the Quincy life, so much so the he was barely ever home for his family. Soken is older so he would have been apart of the Era when Quincies and Shinigami were warring, but we know in his older years He changed and even tried to make peace with the Shinigami.
- (Fun fact: Yhwach is based on the Hebrew name "Yhwh" which means God.)
- The "Schatten Bereich" as Yhwach called it means the "Shadow Realm", that is where they are apparently. (Many viewers confuse it with Hueco Mundo due to the similar appearance)
- An interesting aspect that many viewers don't consider is that Most of the 0 Squad are likely very VERY old, meaning in terms of Mentality they'd likely align more with the more Cruel aspects of Soul Society. Since we've met them there has been a sort of standoffish energy, most of the Captains didn't want to go meet them. Now we have Shunsui Questioning the motives of Ichibei/0 Squad.
Ishida said shinigami and quincy can't get along, but he can get along with Ichigo because he's half-and-half 😆

I really like the added dialogues and dynamics of the Sternritter, even if it was only brief. I love how Shunsui went to Ichigo's friends to inform them of a negative possibility and making sure they are well and good to handle it in any case- Yama wouldn't have stooped to that extent in order to do such seemingly small things. It really shows you the difference in leadership styles between them and it's a great contrast.
About Kyoraku telling Ichigo's friends that he might not come back depending on what power he will get, there's another reason for that which was stated in their Light Novel Can't Fear Your Own World. But I don't want to spoil more than that

Always love watching your reactions guys! Small clarifications: Zero squad aren't really gods, they're just a lot stronger than the other shinigamis; and since Ichigo has Hollow, Quincy and Shinigami powers he also with training can quite literally be a lot stronger than regular Shinigamis; notice how Ichigo non chalantly entered and was walking around Ichibei's palace but Rukia and Renji couldn't even stand because of the heavy reaitsu in the palace, that's how big the difference in powers is.

Uryuu is the only impure Quincy to survive the Auswhalen, along with Ichigo. That's why Yhwach asked him "why are you still alive". Uryuu's father and grandfather were pure Quincy so they weren't targeted

Something very important to clarify: actually Yhwach didn't lie about the Quincies being attacked by the Shinigami years ago. The flashback only showed the final stretches of the previous war, so by itself it doesn't disprove his claims. Plus, in the earlier arcs, Urahara and many others, including Uryuu himself, stated that the decision to exterminate the Quincies came from Soul Society. So yeah, the Shinigami were the ones striking first.
Actually this part of Yhwach's speech wasn't present in the manga. Kubo stated, many times while the manga was ongoing, that the whole Thousand Year Blood War wasn't a matter of "good vs evil", but "evil vs evil". Both sides are in the wrong, both sides did abominable things. But he didn't have time to make this idea clearer in the manga, so he's doing it in the anime. As Kyoraku stated once "in a war, both sides are in the wrong".
Just realised that BLEACH is an anime adapted version of the Bible. Especially this Arc😮
The SternRitters power level is not decided by the order of the letters like with the Espada.
The only different case when "A" is the strongest is with the Quincy king himself, after that the next strongest is not the letter "B"
As we saw in this episode, Uryu received letter "A", even so, he's still outside of top 5.

It helps for the people who don't know how to say his name but yeah I agree it's irritating to see it spells Yuhabaha like the name is not looking cool anymore as Yhwach

I miss the earlier fan translations of the manga where it was Juha Bach. Bach is a German name. Quincies are German. It just makes more sense.

Out of all the Sternritters they have shown off so far Hashwalth (B), Ishida (A), Gremmy, (V) and Askin (D). There is no relation of how strong/powerful a sternritter is and the letter bestowed upon them.
Ishida isn't bestowed a letter yet, and the normal assumption is that (A) is yhwatch
They didn't survive, that is the point. They died, but when they died they were Human, now they are souls like those in the soul society.
Just to let you guys know, the intro doesn't have any spoilers. It's similar to opening one of Bleach where it seems more chill.
