Great vid mate , 👍🏻 while I’m here can you give me a bit of advice please ? I’ve just bought a Tronixpro xenon power 14ft from veals and recieved it today , gorgeous rod but I think it may be a bit stiff throughout the rod , especially the tip .. I fish the Northumberland coast for cod on light to mixed ground , I’m thinking of returning it and paying extra for a century fireblade 14ft carbon tip .. what’s your thoughts ? Any help woukd be appreciated
Hi Mark, glancing at the specs, the Xenon Power is a fair beast of a rod with it being rated to 8oz and being ever so slightly shorter than the Fireblade 14. I use the carbon tipped Fireblade 14ft a lot for my cod fishing. This is typically over mixed to rough ground, but because the rod is so light in the hand, yet has a nice balance and the appropriate amount of power I use it in a range of scenarios including clean ground. Dean Booker did a full review of the Fireblade GT here on the veals channel. I also did a short review of the Carbon tip 14ft Fireblade on my channel if you want to get an idea of the action and how it may differentiate from the Xenon power to help you make the best decision for you!
Where abouts are you guys fishing, is it Scotland or England , I'm not trying to scam the mark just roughly is it North East Coast cheers, love your video's by the way thank for you advice on the seadra rod strap I've ordered one after watching your Vid cheers Liam
Hi Paul, fishing my neck of the woods up here in Aberdeen. There are loads of great stances all up and down the North East coast. Its so hard to pick at times! Spoiled for choice! Great stuff. You will love the straps. Game changer!

What fixed spool reels are you both using, thanks 🎣
In this video I'm using a Shimano Bullseye 9120, and my mate Alan is using a Penn Spinfisher 7500LC. Both in stock on the Veals website now!
How do you find the bullseye? Does it handle the rough ground ok
@stephenharper8488 it's fantastic for the rough ground - plenty backbone in it, no worries about lifting decent fish at height either.
Cheers
