No single player wins ALL the time. Not Federer in his prime. Not Djokovic. Not Serena. Yeah big hitters like Ryba & Saba are tuff to play against but Iga has a better head-to-head against Saba. Only Ryba & Osta have better head-to-heads against her. But the thing that stands her out is her consistency, which is why she has been #1 for 100 weeks. Same lack of consistency is why Ryba has just 8 titles; Saba has 14 & Iga has 19 & she is the youngest of them all.

Absolutely. Further, character spells the greatness. How many times have she pulled herself out of possible defeat yet comes back and win. In the last contest with Rybakina, Ryba's play was exceptional, stood out from her past games. But given a little more time, Iga could have turn the tide against Ryba. Let's see next time. What I am waiting for is a match against Ostapenco. She hasnt won yet against her.

@@reyperez917She always is scared of playing Rybakina/Ostapenko like players…they take time from her and starts misssing balls

Yes..her consistency is wonderful, because wta players are mostly pushers, and Iga always crushes pushers
When she faces big hitters than she has trouble, because she has less time for her shots and starts missing…but big hitters are not so consistent like Iga
Sabalenka and Rybakina are improving a lot in consistency, but Iga is in another level in this matter

@@muriloborges9481 Interesting fact, when you follow Sabalenka's and Rybakina's failures they also usually lose with big hitters, so they have a problem with big hitter too? Simply, this style of play can be extremely effective and most good players play this way. Ok, with big hitter Ostapenko 0-4, with big hitter Rybakina 2-4, but also with big hitter Sabalenka 6-3, Collins 6-1, Kudermetova 4-1, Garcia 4-1 etc. Iga can win 5 times whose players, but when she lose 1 that because they are big hitters. Swiatek can may have a problem with one specific player but not with the entire style of play.

@@LordFluffymort kudermetova big hitter? Are Y crazy…I do not know why, but Iga has a problem particularly with Rybakina and Ostapenko, you can feel and see in her face that she is scared of playing them…Yes, she has a great record agains Sabalenka, Garcia, Collins and Samsonova, wich is another big hitter…I do know why, but some players aldo feel intimidated in playing Iga and this could be the reason for they not doing so well against her as Ryba/penko

Her issue with Rybakina is not necessarily because of Iga but more of the mentality of Rybakina. When Rybakina was interviewed last year (I’m not sure after what tournament), she mentioned that she was not scared to play Iga, no matter the surface. That speaks so much of her mentality, mainly because they both turned pro the same year (I know people keep saying Elena is older than Iga, but Iga has more achievements than her; mind you, it took Iga only one 1year to have more than half of her achievements 2022). Rybakina always speaks her mind, and she’s been saying since the start of this year that when she is healthy, she can defeat anyone on tour. You all watch out and don't sleep on her. She’s figuring out her health and gaining confidence as well.

The more power you have, the more often you can dictate play and the more winners you are going to to be able to hit. The key is to keep the unforced errors to a reasonable level compared to the winners. It doesn't matter who the opponent is... Ostapenko is the perfect example. In any given match if she doesn't spray her shots, she's a handful. When she does spray shots, she can lose to anyone. Camilia Georgi is another one. The balance, for any player, determines success versus failure...
Generally, the harder you hit, the more inconsistent your results will likely be over time since you are taking more risks... The great players generally do the best at finding a good balance for themselves...

Alexandrova is not a big hitter nor Noscova. She lost to the two. This is a gsme. You lose, you win. You dont win all the time. It's the achievements that matter. Overall, Swiatek is great. She shown this in Beijing, and Cancun where all players were conquered by nature, especially Gauff. Not Swiatek, despite of the weather, the condition of court etc. She was there, never out of contest.

Of course Iga has a problem against big hitters, all tennis players struggle against big hitters if they're having a good day. Iga eats up the opponents who hit balls mid-court because she can find angles and winners from those shots. She can't do that when the ball is coming to her harder. If Rybakina, Ostapenko, Sabalenka and a few others are hitting the ball hard and hitting it well that day, of course Iga can't dominate rallies like she does against other players.

@@Vescilla Relax, rockyboy can't even spell her name correctly after she's been a no1 for a 100 weeks. He just accidentally switched here from F1 board. She generates so much interest 'cos she is already so good , young , quirky and has potential to get even better. She played very average game vs Ryba and it took Rybakina 3 sets to win. And even playing mediocre IS could've won it in 2.
