Very beautiful composition Debora. I love your color palette & best of all your technique of combining acrylic paints & soft pastels. It adds more depth to the painting. LOVE it!!! Thanks for sharing & I’m looking forward to more videos of this style.
Soooo lovely Debora. Thank you. A couple of ?'s. If you are not happy with an area where you have put pastel down, is there a way to remove it, or what do you do? When you are complete do you spray it or cover it with clear gesso? I would think if you add any kind of liquid over the pastel it would smear???
I usually dry with a hair dryer and continue working. Waiting 24 hours is probably better though. If you dry and don't get it wet its okay to continue working.
This is just beautiful 😊
Thank you! 😊
Really lovely!!! I would have liked to have seen the whole sheet of paper as you were painting. God bless you for sharing your gift 😃
Thank you so much 😊. One of my earlier videos. I've gotten a bit better at including more now.

I wish you had told us what you were using as you used it.
I'm inspired by your beautiful work, I want to learn how to use pastels now.
Pastels are wonderful!

You are so welcome!
Love this, Debora. Very helpful in seeing how loose and intuitively you are working.

If you don't like an area you can rework it by adding some clear gesso again to create a new surface.
Incredible. Thank you!
Thanks Amy!
Look up in right hand corner of picture. It looks like a person peeking from behind the leafs.
How long did you wait for the clear gesso to dry?
I usually dry with a hair dryer and continue working. Waiting 24 hours is probably better though. If you dry and don't get it wet its okay to continue working.
Are you going over the charcoal w clear gesso?
Probably as that is my usual way of working with pastel. If acrylic I go over charcoal with matte medium.
what kind/brand of pastel?
I use a variety including Unison, Girault, Townsendi and Mount Vision.
@@DeboraStewart beautiful - all soft?
@@AdamHiFi yes all soft pastels
