Hi guys, If you still in Queretaro you'd visit the Santa Rosa and Santa Clara churches which have no one but several incredible altarpieces covered in gold leaf. And if you want to visit a mall just go to Antea. ua-cam.com/video/StdNcXlwHCA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/daPhSNhYu-M/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_ZAeaDzOB_Y/v-deo.html
Yes güeros, -La Constitución De Mexico- was signed at the teatro de la republica, also you should have definitely gone to el cerro de las campanas where Maximilian was executed and that is why we still speak Spanish and not French today. La corregidora de Queretaro Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez lived right by it at what is now Plaza de Armas, you were there. I hope you go back sometime soon. Thank you for liking my city!!!
Your informers were largely correct. The modern Mexican national anthem was first sung in El teatro de la república in 1854. And the 1917 Constitution was first drafted there. Querétaro too was a center where Mexican independence was forged in 1810.
Kinetic Kennons try this.... 'Look up Madrileños por el mundo/ Queretaro.' A deep inside look through the eyes of Spanish expats living around the world. I loved the Queretaro and Guadalajara episodes on UA-cam they also visit Puerto Vallarta, Baja California and if am not mistaken CDMX. I learned a lot about my country by following Vlog like yours. THANK YOU!
So happy you enjoyed. Queretaro. I plan to retire there or puebla. I been living in nyc all my life and have visited many places including. Europe and Caribbean but tulum oaxaca puebla queratarro are by far magical.
Querétaro would be a place with a lot of potential in terms of job opportunities for both of you. The manufacturing industry is one of the most important in the country and each of those industries is in demand of people like you, because they need English training. The same with the high end universities like Tec de Monterrey. Just get and car and drop off applications. The city is safe and clean. It wouldn't hurt to have it as an option in the future. Besides your Spanish gets better each day! Keep up the good work. I wish you would have mentioned that El Templo de La Cruz was ome of the first training school for monks in the continent and also there's a tree within the convent which is covered with thousands of thorns with the shape of a cross. I can't wait for your next video!
I used to live in mexico city until 1986, and a lot has changed since then. After living through an earthquake, and seeing so many neighborhoods in disaster i want to go back, and visit such beautiful city again. One day i will visit Puebla, Queretaro, and many other places.
Oh oh... La Guera’s eyes are telling me she seriously wants to move to Queretaro haha.... Glad you liked it so much. Before you move it’d be great if you could visit a few more sites in Mexico City: Convento del Desierto de los Leones, Reserva Los Dinamos, Xochimilco (embarcadero Cuemanco) and Narvarte neighborhood (recommended just because I think you will love it, a mix of Roma and Condesa but with the best food at the most affordable prices, full of parks and shops - laundromats, markets, etc.). Also visiting Tepoztlán, Puebla, Oaxaca and Morelia may be a good idea before you move elsewhere since it is closer and cheaper to get there from Mexico City.
Laura Guerra, you're right so much to see and do and learn about in La Capital, Querétaro seems its just another "Rancho"! Then again I'm a native here, but yes Chilangolandia has the most to see and do, explore!
Joe Serrano I personally think Queretaro is a great place to live and not a Rancho at all. But if Goyo and Guera want to visit places like the ones I mentioned, due to their location, it is easier to get to those while they are still based in Mexico City. If and once they move to Queretaro, from there it is easier and cheaper to visit places like Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí. So it is all about planning to make the most of each place they decide to live in.
Super nice edition Goyo, also very nice shots, it looks great!!! I´ve never been in Querétaro, looks very beautiful! "Our source seemed unsure", hahaha, often happens :)))
Hola mis Gringos favoritos, look up the "El Bajio" region. It is the most historical, colonial part of Mexico (has to do with all foreign investments from Spain and France to mine the silver) Within the boundaries of el Bajio, you'll realize that San Luis Potosi, Guanajuato/ San Miguel de Allende, Morelia parts of Zacatecas fall within this region. You'll love the city of Guanajuato.
Morelia is not within "El Bajio" but was in close proximity to all the other ancient towns of the silver era. France the leading investing country at the time. So parts of Jalisco, Guanjuato, Aguas Calientes, San luis Potosi, and Queretaro fall into this area, that would explain the reason you have churches and towns with true feeling of wealthy colonial times.
That sounds amazing!! We will definitely check out that area as soon as we can! We loved the colonial feel of QRO so I think we would love Guanajuato, Morelia, etc!
I'm glad these gueros are highlighting some of Q's most historic city center Catholic temples. My parents live just a few miles from there. I really miss it! Greg is right about its historic significance: It is the cradle of Mexico's national independence.
There's also the Arkansas State University campus Queretaro, it's the first American-style college in Mexico. It opened last year, though I'm unsure if there are any tours available. You guys should check it out!
I love the way you capture details (B Roll), Greg. I love those grand doors. They are magnificent. Hey, just today I was doing some re-organizing in my apartment and I found some of my OLD, very old, film photos of Mexico City, Oaxaca, Puebla, Puerto Vallarta, & Nayarit (also Hawaii, lol). Those old photos from the 80s and 90s are still holding up. Naturally I thought of you guys.
What a great compliment. No, not quite. They were my first film camera photos when I got interested in photography. That was some 30 years ago. I've picked up photography and put it down several times since then. Right now it's put down on the shelf, so to speak. I love it and would rather be traveling around taking photos, but stopped in order to pick up this eBay business to pay off my bills, etc. When I get all that done (someday, if I'm still able to get around - I'm pretty senior) then hopefully I'll pick up photography again. All that being said, it's still fun to look at them again.
One of the best things about Queretaro is that it's close to Mexico City. Apart from being a great place to live of course, so you have the best from both worlds.
Kinetic Kennons thanks for writing down “Hustle & Bustle” cause I understood what she meant but wouldn’t have guessed what exactly she said haha... two new words I learned today! - ur question abt the Constitution having been signed there also pushed me into some research (I had no idea) but yes... the 1917 Constitution was both discussed and promulgated in Queretaro at the then called Teatro Iturbide (which now is the Teatro de la República). So you made us learn many things today. Thank you guys!
Querétaro looks so beautiful!! I went on a road trip to Mexico with my brothers like 10yrs ago and passed through Querétaro. Wish we would explored the City but we were young and dumb, full of piss and vinegar!! All we did is passed by on the highway 😫 it’s on my bucket list now for sure though!
When you said , it is your favorite place , it touch my feeling so deeply, i was happy and proud , that you guys like my town , sorry you did not like gorditas to much, for us , gorditas were our snacks at school lunch time
I love Queretaro!!! When I decided to move out of CDMX (then DF) I was considering Querétaro but... I ended up in León GTO where the best you can do is to go to Guanajuato City!!! Can’t wait to see you guys around here.
Guys, you have to visit the city of León in Guanajuato, these days the largest fair in the country takes place in that city and on October 11 in the city of Guanajuato the Cervantino festival begins is awesome, you can not miss it
The video editing, and the making of them guys. You guys are superb. Very professional. It's a whole new pleasure to watch your videos guys. Yes guys. Queretaro was one of the pilars, of the independence mouvement, and since it's almost at the center of the country, it was also very important for the gouvernement, as a strategic city. I would say that Queretaro it's for México, probably like Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is for the states.
Hi Kinetic Kennons!! Glad you have enjoyed Queretaro!! I was born there but currently I'm living in Toronto. However, I'l be back soon so If you come back let me know. I'm going to share your video on my face book because you really did an awesome job!!!. I really miss Queretaro and the downtown area were I used to live. You should visit the mountains (Sierra de Queretaro) and the missions; I have friends and family from the USA that have visited before and they love it.
Normally it is warm and hot for most of the year in Qro but in winter there are a couple of weeks it gets cold ,overcast and chilly and unfortunately it was when you guys arrived. It is going to warm up by mid week and you will get to enjoy more of this beautiful state has to offer.
Hola Goyo y Güera !! Thank you so much for sharing Querètaro with us' I went there once,ki da in my way to CDMX and I loved the city, Teatro de la República, it seems like it was the place with the initial talks (per say) Constitution of Mèxico in 1916-1917. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Los Kinetic Kennons... Aka Los gueros YA SON MEXICANOS... =D Son mas que bienvenidos en Queretaro... =) Es muy grato ver sus videos... Sigan disfrutando Mexico y en especial Queretaro... =)
Hey guys you should visit the modern side of Querétaro and also make a tour for different colonial cities in Mexico. Don’t forget to visit Taxco. It’s tiny but beautiful too😎
Guys you need to go to Toluca and visit Catedral and "El Cosmovitral", you will be amaze with the food too, Toluca is less than one hour away from Mexico City, if you go I will be your tour guide.
loved this vid as usual great music on the b roll footage however Greg watch the sound level going from voice to music almost painful . all and all this vid left me waning more!, more! great job guys!
I studied in Querétaro some years ago and there are some places( that usually they don't appear in turistic maps) that I think you should reeeeeally go if you want to have a different look. First of all if you want to have a really nice sunset of Querétaro you should go to "El Mirador de los Arcos" that is located exactly where the Historic Center finishes and the Ancient Aqueduct begins: just aside the Panteón de los Queretanos Ilustres and the Mausoleo de la Corregidora; all straight in the same street where the back part of the Convento de la Santa Cruz (The one that appears in this video) ends. The views of the sunset, the Aqueduct and the city is awesome!! Also I know that you are more use to show the Historic and Heritage parts of the cities you visit in Mexico, but if you want to have a more contemporary look of Queretaro you could go to the Teatro Metropolitano and Centro de Negocios to look up for a nice play, musical, cultural festival, geek convention, etc. The architecture is beautiful the views are amazing and the events are almost always really interesting!
Guys you have to go to Tequisquiapan there in Querétaro and also you have to go to the Wine and cheese route there 🍷🧀🍇. Don't forget to go to Guanajuato Capital 🙌🏻🤗😉👌🏻
At the Templo de las Cruces there is a tree that grows spines in the form of crosses right in the garden inside. Very interesting and there's some religious history behind it too.
Hey thanks for visit my town, Im from Queretaro , now im living in san diego Ca , i miss my town , im ready to retire , visit Tequisquiapan , next time , take a fly in hot balloon, In May we have the wine and cheese festival , you will enjoy it
I hope you have time to go to Peña de Bernal. An awesome little town very close from Queretaro. Like an hour or so. It has the third largest monolith in the world (thus the name of the town,Peña=Boulder)
Querétar is pretty small there's not much to do or visit Centro historico is the most interesting part to see cause there's a lot of history about mexico (the independence war started here) and also the pyramid in el pueblito (like 30 minutes away from downtown) it's pretty nice i hope you guys have enjoyed your stay in Querétaro
Go to El Cerro de las Campanas before you leave. The city of Guanajuato is really close to Queretaro. I really recommend it!!!! Go to Puebla when you get back towards the Mexico City area.
Guys! Check out “La Casa de la Zacatecana.” It’s an old colonial house which is said to be “haunted” (spooky!) but it’s very beautiful. Also, check out “La Casa de la Corregidora” and “La Casa de la Marqueza” (those are not scary and are also beautiful). “La Catedral” has an incredible facade, and “Santa Rosa de Biterbo” (another church) has the most amazing interior. “La Casa de los Perros,” El Panteón de los Queretanos Ilustres,” and “El Mirador” are also worth visiting. You’ve probably heard (or been to) these places already, but just in case, I wanted to tell you about them. There’s also beautiful towns like “Bernal” and “Tequisquiapan” in the area. “San Miguel de Allende” may be in the Guanajuato area, but it’s only about an hour from the city of Querétaro. Boy, do I wish I could visit those places right now!
I like colonial cities, Queretaro is like some places in Spain there still conserve the atmosphere colonial until today! Here in Monterrey used to be like Queretaro, but now has grow up too much and only a few places is like there, but a Town called Santiago half hour from Monterrey is pretty alike Queretaro.
So far considering PV, CDMX, Guadalajara and Querétaro, which is your favorite guys? This question is only for the Kennons so refrain from answering below.
Hmm. That is tough! They each have their own personality and things to offer. What I liked about QRO is that it had a small town feel similar to PV but it also had some of the big city amenities of CDMX.
Kinetic Kennons wow that was the fastest answer in YT history! Yes! I agree 100%! I like the beach but can’t see myself living permanently in a city like PV as nice as it it, CDMX is incredible but the amount of traffic and people make it a little too much, Querétaro might be just right! I like Merida too and it’s even safer than QRO but it’s kind of isolated from the rest of the country.
I agree... 104º Fahrenheit in Merida under the shadow in summer melted your brain... QueretaRock still won!!! i live in both cities i have family in Merida i love both cities but my ancestors are from Queretaro so...
It's missing to know another cities and towns like: Guanajuato Guanajuato, Puebla, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecaz,Cuernavaca Morelos, Morelia Michoacan,Oaxaca de Juarez, Taxco Guerrero, Real del Monte Hidalgo,Valle de Bravo Estado de Mexico,Real de catorce San Luis Potosi. All those cities have spanish colonial architecture. In fact I think worthwhile visit every"pueblo magico" (magic town) around Mexico. There around 100 "pueblos magicos" in Mexico. Also is missing to know National Parks, archeological zones and "paraisos indigenas"( indigenous paradises). It's missing tons of sites by explore. Good luck!
Our patron of the day is Angie Aldana! Thank you for helping us travel Mexico, Angie:)

Kinetic Kennons I'm a woman😊but ok, saludos
Your informers were largely correct. The modern Mexican national anthem was first sung in El teatro de la república in 1854. And the 1917 Constitution was first drafted there. Querétaro too was a center where Mexican independence was forged in 1810.
Yes! I am just glad we got our info mostly right!!

Garcias a ti cesar!
I’m of Mexican descent and even with my family Queretaro is underrated. Awesome video gueros.

There are so many areas around CDMX that we still need to visit, we will def get to those asap!:) We have a lot of "work" to do:)
Kinetic Kennons you bet... you can still milk being based in Mexico City. And you still have to try the best torta in town haha. 😋
Laura Guerra, you're right so much to see and do and learn about in La Capital, Querétaro seems its just another "Rancho"! Then again I'm a native here, but yes Chilangolandia has the most to see and do, explore!

You guys are making me want to visit Queretaro! I heard a lot about the city.
One of the best things about Queretaro is that it's close to Mexico City. Apart from being a great place to live of course, so you have the best from both worlds.
That's exactly what we loved about it!
One of my friends was right Queretaro is AMAZING!!
Can we please get #HustleAndBustle trending on twitter? 🤣

We have had three Constitutions previous to the current one which was signed in 1917 in Teatro de la República, Querétaro. The place you just visited.

Getting that volume just right is always hard, sorry about that!
Great video and keep the great job guy's!!
Oaxaca needs to be on your list güeros!
Oh it is! We need to go there very soon!
Great video as usual. I think you guys would really enjoy Guanajuato.
In 1531 Texas,Arizona and L.A were part of Mexico so much have changed since then
🤓👍
haha just a few things have changed! Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado were part of Mx too right?
great tour ,, thank you,, I had never heard of it,
At the Templo de las Cruces there is a tree that grows spines in the form of crosses right in the garden inside. Very interesting and there's some religious history behind it too.
We saw that-so incredible!
Queretaro is sooo beautiful. You should come to Monterrey too.
If you're still in Querétaro, you should visit Mercado de la Cruz, and grab a meal at the Tacos de guisado Doña Licha or some Chamorros.
Yes!! Glad you came visit guys. Hit me when you come back. Never go to chains restaurants :(
The editing is fantastic
In the teatro de la República the constitution was discussed, written and signed
Would u ever consider doing apartment tours in the cities u visit ? ...helps us get an idea of real life there and costs. Just an idea....thx !
They wrote the constitution in Queretaro in golden letters. In Queretaro the movement was initiated by Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez
I like rainy days!

I hope you have time to go to Peña de Bernal. An awesome little town very close from Queretaro. Like an hour or so. It has the third largest monolith in the world (thus the name of the town,Peña=Boulder)
We missed it this trip, but we will be back just for that for sure! The pictures look amazing!
Querétar is pretty small there's not much to do or visit
Centro historico is the most interesting part to see cause there's a lot of history about mexico (the independence war started here) and also the pyramid in el pueblito (like 30 minutes away from downtown) it's pretty nice i hope you guys have enjoyed your stay in Querétaro
Queretaro es muy Padre! It's where I wanna live
I hope you can really visit the rest of the city, there is so much more to see besides downtown
again downtown there are like 10 places to visit juriquilla, jurica, nautico restaurants in a lake you will love it 7 restaurants
...you guys should go to the most colonial city in Mex la nueva Valladolid (morelia)it's a beautiful city....
I agree!!!!
it is not the most colonial city, is beautiful but I prefer Queretaro.
Michoacan is VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Puebla Etc Etc.
Go to El Cerro de las Campanas before you leave.
The city of Guanajuato is really close to Queretaro. I really recommend it!!!!
Go to Puebla when you get back towards the Mexico City area.
Wow... it’s like you guys have just discovered the wheel
I mean coming from Dallas...that's pretty much how we felt lol.
Kinetic Kennons Dude! Dallas is huge!
Small state but big dreams I love my Qro from el barrio de San francisquito
I love this comment!
I heard the heat in Merida is pretty bad. We need to visit, but I want to wait until fall or winter! haha
Good luck!
There is so much that we still need to visit, but we will slowly knock them all off our list!
Santiago de Querétaro. 😍❤️
I really hope the city of tequila Is in you guys plans it is so beautiful there very colonial as well very colorful
