This video shows how to fix rear led lights on 2011 BMW X3 F25. To do that I used $30 board I purchased on ebay. There are plenty of those available out there.
Yep another very pleased guy, following your instructions made it a walk in the park, I did have the old boards soldered by an Auto electrician but lasted on one side less than 50 miles. bought four new boards and fitted them all in a couple of hours.
Just replaced mine with a module found on Amazon (14eur/16 USD). The light works fine now, thank you for sharing that video. I hope I will not have problems with the radio stations (as mentioned in a previous comment). If so, I will let you know.
You can remove and put back new led board without cracking the plastic seal. No tools required just push plastic tiny legs by hand and it’ll squeeZe in nicely and secured like from factory

Thanks Felek. Did you have to replace the LED module for the main taillight? Not just the hatch taillight. On the driver side both LEDs appear to be out on both lights.
I have the same issue with that inner ligh but the front fog light/parking light is also out however the fog light works.. Does that module also affect the front light as well? The rear bulbs are good and I've replaced the fog light bulb.
I have done this replacement with two boards from Amazon. Both boards caused interference on my FM radio reception. I only get about half the stations now. Not sure if it is radiated or conducted noise causing the problem. Has anybody else had and solved this problem? I reflowed the solder on the OEM board also, but the repair doesn't last.
I followed tour video thanks but in my case the PCB board was fine as the new one still didn’t make the lights work. So I need some guidance on the wire replacement that I suspect are bad going to the led bar. Any suggestions??
It was pretty good right up until you used tape to secure the new board. Plus there are plenty of videos for fixing the board in lieu of buying a new one. You should watch those.

@@battlehrfred You are correct, just looked for it myself. It looks like X5 does not use VALEO module. It must be different technology. Try taking the light out and see what it is and look for part numbers online.
@@FelekPL , UPDATE >>>no luck with a replacement Circuit board for 2013 bmw x5 35i,So. I ordered a complete aftermarket light assembly from MZ Orange china./Ebay. Its was installed 2 days ago. after 20 minutes of driving the "left 2 stage brakelight" came up on my dash panel and also on my radio/computer screen and it continues to pop up. All of the light bulbs and led bulbs are working just fine .I did check the China Bulb and its of different part number. I swapped it out for the oem BMW bulb from my old broken light and also the GE 1057 Bulb holder as it was surely not so sturdy as the OEM bulb holder,it works fine now and no codes or errors.
I have the same problem on my BMW X1 e84 2012 model. But how do I know if it is this module that needs to be replaced, or if any bulbs/other wire connections is broken?
And if you look for the module on ebay, it will say if it fits X1, my guess is they are the same. Or you can take the car to dealer and pay 150 for 1 hr of labor and 250 for new light
@@FelekPL The LEDs on the tail door is not working, like the one in your video, only on one side. But there is also a bulb inside it which is not working either. I tried to replace the bulb with new one, still not working. I wonder if there either is a short circuit, fuse problem, or the board. Do you know if they have separate fuses?
@@ismailsarikaya1680 separate fuses for each side? I don't know. Any chance new bulb was bad? It may be wiring but it will be hard to find it, I would leave that as last thing to do.maybe swap modules with the other side?
It's a package/option ( Rear LED and front adjustable XEON lights). Not sure if you can just buy the LED lights and replace the old ones, the plugs may be different, but maybe there is adapter? I don't know.

I believe I replaced both, its the same module. It's been a while

Idk man... wires are PITA. You never know where it might got broken. Long process of tracing and testing

Hi Tom, My inner light X3 F25 it does not contain the module... So, the inner light does not light up. Help.
It was pretty good right up until you used tape to secure the new board. Plus there are plenty of videos for fixing the board in lieu of buying a new one. You should watch those.

i have a 2012 28i and none of the lights has a control board no idea how the LED's are powered in it
Maybe they are not led at all and the stripes do not lit up at all
