I ride a 2013 Street Glide Vivid Black. My wife just this Friday bought her first ever motorcycle, a 2009 Dyna Fat Bob CVO! Orange dappled paint up front and red in the back. She doesn’t even have her license yet and has never driven a bike! She’s signed up at Harley of Madison Wisconsin in Sept. for the safety class. We had stopped there to pick up my Glide that they had for a Stage 1 on and she saw this bike. I knew I should have gotten an Uber. We love your videos. Thanks for doing this. It inspires us both to get out there and explore together. Now my wife can enjoy the driving part too!! I met you at Milwaukee in the Customs Dynamic tent. I’m an Air Force Vet. Pleasure meeting you.
My husband and I are smiling as since you bought the RG, it’s a different type of love for that bike. The sound system sounds loud. I know your wife would love the road trip. The SG is going to get jealous, lol. My husband hoping to buy the RG soon.
We live in Missouri and travel to Colorado frequently. My wife wants someone to move Kansas out of the way and slide Colorado to Missouri! I admit it is a long way across the plains and it doesn’t matter whether it’s Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S. Dakota, or N. Dakota, it is a long journey across those states. However, the plains while seemingly boring to traverse have their own special beauty. Excellent Journey you are on. Safe travels to you and your wife!
I didn't see you had a big luggage bag on the rack. If you don't I would invest in one. I have a Nelson rigg one and the Harley one is a close second because of the storage and the Harley cost a bit more. But that is invaluable space and it comes with a rain fly
Not really the ultimate tourer. One thing that quickly comes to mind to make it better - those tour-pak adapters that allow you to slide the tour-pak forward and backwards. It really makes a difference for your passenger.
That’s a Beautiful thing right here Mr Tall, nothing like being on a ride with your best friend, your everything, it’s cool to ride with your friends but when you have your Queen with you solo I believe there’s nothing like it 👍🏼.God bless you both and have a safe trip thank you for sharing.
Man, I'm super impressed. You and the first lady are traveling so far. You have never lied about those wind turbines. Between that and the cows 😂😂😂. Those trucks will throw you around if you do get by them. Bless up to you and the first lady 🙏🏽
love road trips with my wife, we would take our 2 weeks vacation on them. rode from Redding Ca. back home to Yelm Wa. in a total bucket downpour the entire way. it is hard packing for a long ride for two. we both ride full leathers, plus rain gear. laundry every 3 days. souvenirs we mailed home. thanks for the nice video trip. I can't wait for rest.
Nice I live in Olympia. I did a seven day camping trip from Olympia to Redding and back coming back through bend just pulling over and camping wherever.
Love seeing you and your wife bro. I love the fact that you are a God fearing and family man first. That includes Leonard, your sis, your daughter and nephew. True inspiration. This year my wife has been on a lot lately. Riding with the bros is becoming challenging. My wife and I are always on the same schedule. Riding with others always seem to make things later than it should be.
Stopping at Buc ees is a good way to start the trip. Any trip. I am going to enjoy this series. Not a big fan of the state of Kansas. I live in Ohio and traveling west on I 70 Kansas isn't fun to me. BUT. Coming back a few weeks ago I took RT. 36. Speed limit was 65 MPH. I enjoyed it much more than I 70. I love the change of scenery when you get just east of Denver.
TALL! You're such an inspiration and what you do is a blessing. I'm planning my first of many trips mainly because of YOU! Next year, I'm gonna GLIDE down to the Fla. Keys from Philly.
Great Video tall, I wish Zippers wasn't so far away I would love to have them put that sport touring kit on my 107 SG. Ride safe and take care of momma. Safe travels and looking forward to the next video.
I've been looking forward to this series, Tall. I love your "folksy" commentary, and the way you keep it real and positive. So glad you had a safe trip. Can't wait for the next installment, and good to see your wife too. Take care.👍🏾
Nice part 1 and I ride just like you. Just ride, no time for stoppin, get your gas and goi!! If you cant make it from the east coast to the west coast in a couple days then you aint ridin!!! The heats the only killer thing I hate when doing these trips through Kansas.
Thank you. Nothing like traveling x-country with ones wife. The bonding and the necessity of being considerate with each other on many levels physically emotionally spiritually...YEAH good times. We went from northern Minnesota to Glacier national, then east and west over the Rockies to New Mexico and back. Not a cross word was spoken. We seemed to me one person completely immersed in the moment for 14 days. Good luck Tall!
Safe travels for you and your wife. Truly a blessing to have her as your copilot while riding.this will be memories for a life time Thanks for sharing with us.
you should've probably put a little taller windshield on for the trip. i did a cali trip this past may, and god blessed me with wonderful weather. not much rain and generally in the 70's except for the 38 deg. across vail summit to denver. but i'm ready for the next one.
Tall just another great video brotha I loved the western music made this video incredibly awesome Glad you and your wife had great time and GOD brought you home safe. Keep on putting out the video's💯✌🏽.
What a great way to see the USA no better way I'm glad u and ur wife had a great safe trip bro I'm looking forward to part 2 and to know how she really enjoyed the trip
Glad to see the two of you on your trip. The memories of the trip will be with the two of you forever. I hope your wife continues to do trips with you. Maybe she can start her own channel from the passenger perspective. I know my wife sees things I don’t when we ride together. I more focused on the roads and cars.
Love the video. A few things: 1. KC is known for the Missouri side. 2. That was not the old HD factory. It was by the KC airport. 3. I get to live bi-curiously through you riding across the country. 4 Which do you prefer, Road glide or Street glide?
Great video. This is exactly what I want to do with my wife. I just got a 22 Road Glide Limited. I hope to be able to record this same video myself soon! Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to more chapters.
@@TravelingTall I guess I don't understand. I have the '15 Ultra Limited. I made the Tourpak removable, added Ohlin's rear shocks and changed my seat out. I get a Street Glide like look when I want it and all the benefits of liguid cooled heads and a Tour Pak when I want it. Is it not cheaper to do that than to buy a Street Glide or Road Glide and outfit it like a Limited for Touring? Or is that not what you did?
We all saw you get beat up by the elements on your trip to California with your dad and Leonard. I heard the Shark is better at long tours. Enjoy the Ride Tall.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Zippers will do with the 121. Will they bump it up, cam it up, and keep the VVT? I'm giddy with anticipation. I expect all the newer M-8's to have VVT going forward. Maybe that's the way they will go, just adding VVT to the 114 and 117. Just spitballing.
Wow the memories of my trips to see my X in Missouri...dang i hated the dang mnt in Tennessee...then i remember seeing back in nov the sign said run away trucks and boulders could fall i almost lost my mind the anxiety my guy...thats a way id never go again beautiful country but thst mnt yuck...last i think im getting the ultra glide but change those lights to the road glide look...definitely cvo/screaming eagle engine...look fwd to maybe one day meeting you guys!! From Georgia.. 💔SOUL💔 Last thing those roads are super bad in Kentucky..
@@TravelingTallI agree and that is why I’ve given up on HD and gone to BMW. I currently have a GS Adventure and will be adding a Grand America in a few weeks. It’s has all that the RG Limited has and much more for a lot less. Ride safe
you should have went with the Indian challenger for two up riding because of the suspension you would have saved alot of money because it would have had everything you just bought.
Hey man, im getting a 128 kit on my sgs. I also live around knoxville, so my question is what cooling mods have you done to keep your 124 happy in our summers?
Hey tall awsome video brother question I'm about 6'2 or 3 and ur much taller than me for long hauls did u not try away a 12" or 14" klockwerks windshield stops the buffeting and head wobble. Did u notice that or no after putting 500 miles plus per day??

Hey Guys thanks for the Blast at HD....👌🇦🇺👌
First time that your wife has been on a long ride, and you're riding to California? Wow, talk about baptism by fire.
This one right here ❤
Thanks for the therapy! Stay safe put there. 🛵
Just you and wifey. Dope video, and bet a great experience. We need the next episode.
Always great to ride with wife. Reach back and grab her leg. Smiles for miles.
America, 3,000 smiles wide.
Way to bring it Tall!!!! Nothing like 2 up adventures!!!! Keep it goin.... Ride safe... Enjoy my brotha!!!!
That’s awesome that she wanted to do this trip with you
Thank you for watching
Great that you are doing this Tall - love the scripture references as well.

Biught a 23 Road Glide Standard a month ago. Man i love that bike. The Redline Red and Atlas Silver didn't do it for me. That black is gorgeous.
I use to be afraid of riding in the rain when I first started riding until I got caught in snow then I was never afraid of rain after that.
That has been a paint factory for years the harley-davidson plant was up north by the major airport kci. That was actually north kansas city.

Fantastic!!! Blessings to you both!!!
Ride of a lifetime brother. Awesome stuff!
Always nice to see two up having a great time!

Some serious wind therapy.
I road a batwing for years till I tried and bought a road glide I will never go back to a batwing it's not even close the road glide is far superior

First of all, welcome to the shark tank! Great video, Tall - can’t wait to see and hear more- show ur wife more please !!
You'll see her more later. In the beginning, she didn't want to be on camera. She's still not in it a lot, but it'll be more.
Atta girl! We finish strong! Haha
Great video, and it’s awesome your wife wanted to do a cross country trip with you. Looking forward to future episodes.

Looks like you and your wife had a great time 😊
Great video Tall. It’s good to see you and your wife going across this awesome country.
Bro I said: “Who is that lady?” 😂
Caption: [Tall’s] wife 😂
Seems to me like the Limited would have been a better choice for ultimate two up tourer.
Did you do the whole trip with just one oil change or did you change it for the trip back????

I’m surprised you are not running a taller windshield and you might need to review some motorcycles trailer’s to pull behind the bike
Man, how much did all of you mods cost?
Great video brother. You going to Sturgis? Would love to buy you your wife a beverage.
😃 Thank you for watching
Great video. This is exactly what I want to do with my wife. I just got a 22 Road Glide Limited. I hope to be able to record this same video myself soon! Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to more chapters.
With all that you did to make the bike comfortable for 2Up riding, would a Road Glide Limited have made more sense and been less expensive overall?
Thanks for the comment, but no. The limited would have had liquid cooled heads and tour pack. I'd like to have the liquid cooled heads.

I just picked up a 23 RG standard love it!!!!!!
Big S/O from KC…you literally passed my crib passing the soccer stadium…stay pushing homie 💯👍💪 #Salute
Good video Tall. How did your wife like it?
She loved it!
As many times before, again my request to direct your helmet camera a bit lower, we don't need to see so much sky. Besides that, nice video.
Great video! How is the new seat working out? Been thinking of getting the same Le Pera
What kind of gloves do you use looking for a pair thanks 🙏 in advance sir 😎
If you’re gonna ride big would it be better to start with a RG Limited? Tour pack, liquid cooled and a few other long mile options.

Who took care of the dog?? 🤣😂
Are you still using the Amazon tcmt tour pack and if so how is it holding up?
Yes, I have them on both my bikes. They are great!
