Great video, people were upset about the Dive watch sign, because 99.9% of the time it is true 😁. The lock on clasp is insane, the easier the mugger can remove it the less chance of being killed, I find wearing a £50 G-Shock in big cities works extremely well 👍
Great episode, Norman. The locking clasp makes no sense to me either. Love the green dial Farer. And people are often horrible when they can remain anonymous - like when driving and on the internet. Cheers!
@@flemmingsorensen5470 Yeah, people need to relax. For the most part though, the watch community is by far the coolest online community I've been a part of.
I think it was in the early eighties when somebody almost got their hand cut off as a robber was trying to steal his Rolex, a watch is not that critical to have it locked on your wrist
@@joekennedy3625 Yeah that's crazy. I agree. I think people just need to strap battle axes, broadswords, warhammers to their back. Or carry a wizard staff. Let people know they're in for a fight if they want your watch... And hopefully they don't bring a pew pew to the tavern. :)
Always LOVE the watch news Norman. And I do also love the Straum and Farer watches. Man. There is just so much great watches are being made and still some ugly ones to make fun of too!! 😂. And I certainly agree on the wrist lock. I mean do you really make a thief angrier and force them to take your hand too if they want your watch??!! Kinda scary!!
This was a particularly great video, sir. About those dive watches, I often wear mine when washing my hands but I'm very careful because it's always better to be safe, so a point goes to the guy with the sign. I'm unfortunately not kidding. Now, if we're going to insist on a kind of ideological purity, would a person living in a dive be appropriately wearing a dive watch? I would think so. Finally, I now wonder if the times when I level harsh criticism here are invariably recognized as humor? Or at least attempts at humor. I do hope so. And I almost forgot, but silicon and silicone are two very different substances, not alternate spellings for the same stuff. Win some, lose some. 😉
@@jozsefizsak Your humor is very entertaining so even if it were pure criticism, it passes the 'entertainment' test lol Oh yeah, truth regarding silicone/silicon 🍸🍸
You should do a survey for your viewers re the end of the video....Ask them how many have dive watches that have actually went diving with them. If I had to guess, I would say that 75 percent of dive watch owers don't actually dive with them? Is that too high?
I say Rolex should offer this watch lock as something free with the purchase. After six months in London, there would be nothing but right handed banker and stock brokers 😂. Sadly, they would all file for disability and get it 😕
Big no to locking a watch. That's just another key that I'm going to end up losing lol
@@MirrlyonTime Oh man! Imagine losing that key while you're wearing the watch. I hadn't thought of that. AAAA! hehe 🍸🍸
People onine are way way too butt hurt about everything, brilliant!!!!!
Absolutely!
Love the watch news videos. You learn things and get to see some interesting watches.Thats a good combo for sure. Thanks Norman

@@dunderhay9169 Yeah, my thoughts as well on the lock. At this time in history, low key watches in the cities for sure!

Farer. Like Wayfarer or seafarer. I have the Exmoor, the Hopewell III, and the Lander Midnight GMT. They’re absolutely phenomenal.
