I’ll make the case for reading ACOSF. Its amazing in its own way. No one is debating the wonder of ACOTAR’s beginning books/story. Silver Flames made me feel like I was walking back into my home after being away but someone had reorganized while I was away. So, same world that you already love but also it’s something different and new. I was intimidated by it but it reads really fast. And the character development in this one is top of the line. I didn’t think it would be possible but honestly, I should be jailed for ever questioning SJM. I said all of that BUT read it when you’re ready. To do otherwise is unfair to the book and definitely unfair to you (or anyone forcing themselves to read anything.)

I heard you need convincing to read ACOSF and I came RUNNING!! Nesta is such a beautifully complex character and we really get to see that in acosf. She deals with so much mental health issues and she goes about it the complete wrong way which is both infuriating but also so human. Her growth throughout the book is incredible and heartbreaking. Not to mention the connection between her and Cassian is stunning. This book quickly became my number one fav in the series and probably my number one book of all time. I adore every character in this series but Nes will always be my number one

I'm so excited for you to read Ninth house! For me I enjoyed the second book hellbent way more probably because of the adventure aspect but still ninth house had me wrapped around it's finger.
after you finish a court of silver flames you should get to crescent city series, the next book comes out in january and ohh girl…trust me just read it (but don’t read crescent city before acosf!!)
I think you would absolutely love the book Killing Me by Michelle Gagnon. I read the ARC and it’s great - it comes out May 16th - such a great and funny thriller type of book.
I'd recommend going into ACOSF with an open mind and pretend you're reading a whole different series/book. It is great if you go in with no expectations! but definitely a different pace from the first 3 so be prepared for that girly

I finished reading Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries. It was definitely a slow journey throughout 70% of the book, but the very end is where the high stakes come in. It definitely picked up a little more then and caused me a bit of anxiety! But I just love the banter between Emily and Bambleby.
You should do another “reading until I get a 5 star read”! I rewatched urs and realized how much I LOVED it!!
