My interest in German football in recent weeks came from a man who came to the office I work in with a Borussia Dortmund kit.

@@TheSoccerTavern It certainly did. It's crazy that they are one of the first sports clubs in Germany (and one of the very few in the world) to publicly trade on a major stock exchange.
Just a few things:
• Its proper name is still ‘Westfalenstadion’
• Bayern’s loan was helpful but insignificant - less than a hundredth of the debt
• Gladbach-Bayern or HSV-Bayern is the real ‘Der Klassiker’

BVB debts were about 100 million pounds . So Bayern's loan really did nothing. The club rose from those crisis by itself ,thanks to Mr Watzke.
