Is the email if correct? If yes, then check spam folder of your e-mail.... Sometimes Many of VFS emails go into spam folder...
If still you don't see email anywhere then send a complaint to VFS about not receiving updates on registered email...

You can try reschedule feature, which is only active in first 48 hours of getting appointment slot picking Email, if that's jow Hungary embassy is handling Visa... Because not sure if it's same for business travel visa or not...
You can try with some agent, but most probably nothing may help...
Another thing can be to try tourist visa for Spain/Portugal or any other Schengen country with less wait time, I heard these have least right now, and then travel to Hungary...

When does your semester starts? There is no official way for semester students to get early Visa, but you can try emailing to Embassy or VFS, with proof of dates and exchange related enrollment documents...

Try contacting VFS, they should be able to fix this for you....
You can even create a new account and then create a new appointment by adding 0 in front of your passport, and on appointment date you can mention that you added 0 by mistake, but then original appointment should have got cancelled before your appointment date. But this is a bit shady, so better to get it fixed with VFS support.

Only in first 48 hours after booking slot... After that reschedule doesn't work...

I need to get an appointment around mid February as I will be flying for my masters during march. But I don't know when to register in vfs chennai for February slots and get into waitlist. And how many days the slots will be open for appointment from the current date? I got admission in a public university and I differed my admission.
I will suggest you should start waitlist now, if you are from Delhi, and specially if it's for bachelors course then you are probably even a little late...
Better to have appointment in Jan, and get done with Visa process well in time...
For Delhi - Waitlist is around 30-40 days, + 2.5-3.5 months gap in future slot available, + 35 days usual visa processing and stamping...
Situation is only worsening since last few months...

Account activation link is only valid for short time...
Re-try, when you receive email - then activate account asap.. And then create booking for master student, waitlist time can be 30-90 days + slot gap of 2.5-4 months + 1 month processing time... Will be almost impossible to get Visa by October now...

Waitlist of 25-30 days for Master 45-60 days for bachelors is common in Delhi, should be slightly less or at max similar for Chennai...

For now, I can quickly tell you steps here -
Get confirmed slot first.
Then go to your profile and click on reschedule option.
You will mostly see a free slot that is after your current appointment date, but sometimes (randomly) few instant slots open up, like is today it is 15th Aug, then you will see a free slot for 16th August... So all your paper work should be fully ready by this time, everything be it admission papers, or fee submission, or health insurance, everything needed for Visa... Then book a slot for next day morning, and simply visit VFS...
Remember, don't reschedule if you are only seeing benefit for 1 or 2 days (like original appointment is on 30th Oct and see a rescheduling slot for 28th Oct), it will waste your rescheduling attempt, as there are only limited reschedules allowed like 3 or 6...
@@Rajat_Sharma_Vlogs I keep getting messages that "Rescheduling your appointment is not allowed now." I have got a slot for October and I can see now 2 slots are available in August and September but I am not able to reschedule it.
@@sanskritishishodia9831 Yes, rescheduling is only allowed in first 4 days after booking original slot... But if all your paper work is fully complete, and you can see available slots, then Call VFS, and tell them you need Visa urgently, you have all your papers ready, and you can see the slot available... They will give you an urgent appointment... Keep calling them every time you see slot available, and mention all 3 points every time - Complete documents + Urgent need + Can see Slot available on the website...
This is the same way agent get slots...

Hey ! I have applied for the appointment on 6th of September but got waitlisted . i have my masters starting at the end of Oct , can you please tell me how much Time will it take for me to get to choose for an appointment?
Is this for Delhi and Masters? Waitlist for master at Delhi can be close to 2 months, while at other places can be around 1-1.5 months... Then you will get to pick slot 2-3 month in future for Delhi, while for other it can be 1-2 months in the future... Plus 35 days processing and stamping time... For Bachelors expect 30-40% more time...
But you can use rescheduling trick to save up to 2-3 months if lucky, I have already explained it in other few videos, how to use that trick...

hey i have registered myself for visa slot on 14th july and i saw today that i have made a mistake in my passport no. although i got the automated email. What should i do now should i book another slot ?
If it is just 1 digit mistake, keep the existing booking as well... At the same time make new booking with correct Passport number....
On the day of appointment try to convince it was a small mistake, so they will fix single digit typo, they may fix it and allow the processing... IF they don't then you will have to go through 2nd correct booking...
Also call VFS support and email them, and try to get it fixed before hand if possible...

Current waitlist for Delhi is around 30 days on average for Masters course.. Common range is 25-35 days.. It can be slightly more for bachelors and language course... and it is similar to many other German consulates in India... You will get an email when you can pick a slot, you will have to book a slot within 48 hours or receiving the email, else you won't be allowed to pick slot, and put back to wait list... So keep checking your email daily...

If it is a single digit mistake then it should not be any issue. And otherwise as well, VFS should be able to help you with this and fix the wrong dependent info, if your primary info is all correct.

Yes, waitlist for FRV is 3+ months nowadays... Unfortunately you cannot do anything, but just write email request to German embassy, stating that this is not healthy for your family and you to stay apart so long, and it is causing mental stress for all... But very less hope of them acting on it...

I am not sure of recent situation, but back at the start of 2022 the waitlist was of around 1 year... I assume it can be 6+ months...

Ideally you should get slot picking email by mid of august max...
Then you may see a gap in slot picking of around 3-4 months, from the date of slot picking to appointment date you will get... Then around 2 months of Visa processing time...
Timelines can vary a little by case to case and also based on which VFS you apply from...

how much time prior we should book visa appointments for germany
Post APS visa processing timeline should improve, so it will depend on what in the waitlist time to get the slots in future... Recently it was worst, and student didn't get visa even when they applied 4 months in advance... But hopefully in future the processing time should be back to 2 months, plus keep buffer of 1-2 months for safety... Ideally apply in a way that as soon as you will have all your documents, soon after you should be able to attent visa appointment...

@@muneshwarsinghal655 For bachelors you will also have to give TestAS exam (except if you have cleared JEE advance), which only happens like 3-4 times in entire year... So you have to plan for that as well and give it well in advance...

Usual waitlist for FRV is 3 months now a days. But because your husband is German citizen he should directly contact German embassy both in India and Germany to request for urgent appointment, mention it as human right and unacceptable to have such long wait time to unite with family...
There is small chance embassy may provide immediate appointment slot, wihtout going through VFS... That's the only hopeless hope...

My passport is of Karnataka address. I work at Pune but staying at native Agra doing WFH.
@@akankshamishra7785 FRV waitlist is not fixed... It varies all the time, sometime random slot can open up and some people even can get to pick slot after just 1-2 months of waitlist...
So, it definitely can vary by embassy to embassy office...
Only embassy knows the exact details in case of FRV. Please write an email to German embassy, they most likely won't reply, so also regularly call them until you get to connect with someone, and try to get latest idea from them about the current timeline.
You can even call Bangalore embassy office to know info from them - since Delhi embassy have the highest load, chances are that Bangalore officer may reply to your email or attend phone call before Delhi embassy... Don't tell them your current location of stay - technically you have to apply at embassy where you have been living since last 6 months... So you have to show that you were living in the respective region from last 6 months, if it's different from your Passport address...

1. In the mail Delhi visa officer had replied that slots till October are fully booked and they provide slots in chronological order only. So doesn't that remove any chance of in between slot due to someone's cancellation?
2. I have written to Bangalore embassy today. But on call they just don't respond.. visa enquiry time is 2-3:30 and it says lunch time if I call then. Do you know any other number ?
3. Okay cool. So passport area will precede over living area then ? What if they asked for rental document or proof of stay during interview? Do you know any such case

After appointment, you have to visit the VFS center at assigned slot with all the documents needed.
How to reschedule after getting a slot ?¿
After getting slot, i think you can only reschedule in first 4 days... The rescheduling stops working after that... It's a very strange VFS process that must be fixed by VFS, but that is how it is right now...

In Delhi, the waitlist time is around 25 days for masters... In Hyderabad, I guess it should be shorter than Delhi time, or at max same... All the best...

I don't think VFS refunds on cancellation. You can check with them.
New slot will take the regular processing time -
Waitlist = 30 days for master, 50 for bachelors...
Gap from date of appointment picking to slot date = around 2.5 month for Delhi...
This keeps varying a little, as you should be aware...

Which course? Which city? Private or public university?
4th July waitlist means, approx 1st August Slot picking availability. Which means you can get a slot of around last of October, but maybe you can try rescheduling attempts and if lucky then get a slot in August. I will soon make a video on it, how that reschedule trick works.
So if you get the rescheduling, then it is slightly possible to get visa before your date, considering it is for Masters in Public uni... Else for private uni, very low chance...

You will need APS certificate first. And appointment slots are getting better now. Specially for non Delhi centers. So you should be able to get an appointment somewhere 1-1.5 month in the future.

Is this for bachelors or studienkolleg? Waitlist for masters was usually around 20-25 days in Chennai...
For bachelors or studienkolleg it can be close to 40 days...

Ensure you can see the waitlist entry in your dashboard, and keep an eye on your inbox, as you only get 48 hours to book slots...

@@Eww..... Sorry - the previous comment is for bachelors.. I missed the masters.. The masters student always have to apply at VFS center, and always select Class A only.. Class is for All masters student.. plus bachelors student only above 90%...
@Patrochilles (edited/corrected) Yes, if that is 12th class score, and you are applying for Bachelors in Germany. If you already have bachelors, and are applying for masters, then it should always be Category A, no matter the percentage.

Mumbai have slightly less waitlist time, usually 3 weeks, and then the slot picking gap is also less than Delhi, that around 1.5-2 months mostly... This is for public masters...

@@mehulpatil9837 You have to wait 1 hour... And then try again using incognito mode of browser... All the best... You have 48 hours from email receiving date... You don't have to rush now, you will get slot, you can even spend 20-25 hours, and check every 2-3 hours if by any chance sometimes immediate slots are available like if today is 10th Aug, then slot of 11th Aug or 12th can be seen...
Also, after booking slot - in 1st 48 hours you can reschedule 1 time, sometime you can see immediate schedule by this way as well.. Watch my latest video to know how to do this...
VFS global sucks...we need an alternative
