The German Visa appointments are no longer available for students to book easily. For consulates like Bangalore, no slot is open for the next 3 months and with hundreds of students having received admits, there is no way for them to go around this situation or complain to the authorities. With this video, I want to focus our efforts in writing to Heiko Maas and Sushma Swaraj about the situation at hand, before it's too late and students have to spend another year sitting at home with admits in their hands.

We had been preparing and applying for German universities since last one year and after having received the admits, we are afraid that we might have to lose one more precious academic year because of the opaque and unsupportive working from the German consulates in India. Please direct the consulates in India to make more slots for more visa appointments so that we can enroll in the universities before the deadline.

Bharat Try and Pin this - People - The embassy site opens up at 3:30AM IST and slots end within 15 mins. Please be on your laptops during this period. Current running date is till 13.09.2018. I just booked mine tonight! Have been trying to book an appointment since the last month. Did now know of the timings then. Got to know yesterday! and guess what, appointment confirmed today! Once confirmed, you always have the option to reschedule it (same process, and same time frame)

Hey, I started hunting slots on 7th June, Got slots for 11th June, Passport and Visa stamped already. Received the PP on 13th!. My friends did the same thing. All of them got slots within June itself. NOTE: Rescheduling slots open at 3:45AM IST exact. Make sure you are on the captcha page on 3:44AM 45 Seconds IST. And keep refreshing. Even if you get 1 slot, dont sulk over it. Keep refreshing the browsers. The slots gets refreshed at 3:45Am till 5:15AM IST. Keep refreshing.
If you havent yet booked the slot, do book it ASAP. You will get that easily at 3:30AM. Once you book, rescheduling is a child's play.

Visa appointment is a sham. After one month of trying, I got a May date. But when I showed up, only 10people were there. By 10 am all appointment were done with. So where were the others ?
Thank you for bringing up this problem! I am from Mexico and currently facing a similar situation with the consulate. There are no appointments available. I hope something will be done and I am glad that there are people speaking up!

This can be done by:
1. Allowing only those students with an admission letter to apply for a visa (i.e., while applying, the applicant should upload the admission letter sent by the university)
2. Proper management of the available slots

Faced the same problem in 2011. Missed my orientation and reached a week late for my session. Thought things would have changed for the better. Good job highlighting the issue. A collective action might bring a positive change.

As per the VFS application portal, there is an option for applying in short term appointment scheduling in New Delhi through which i can apply in the “long term master studies having binding and unconditional admission letter" for my admit in MBA degree (15 months) in the German university.

Hi Bharat - I had booked appointment on 27-June-2018, but unfortunately I didn't receive the Work permit pre-approval case letter by that time, So I couldn't able to attend the my interview on got date.
I had tried to cancel the appointment on 26-June-2018 itself but could able to re-book/cancel the appointment, Am getting this below message as,
"YOU CAN ONLY CANCEL/REBOOK THE APPOINTMENT AFTER 28-JUNE-2018".
And I had contacted the Germany consulate operator, they advised me to wait till 72 hours so that it will allow you to re-book the appointment.
Now it is been 3 days, still am facing the above message as and day is showing as 01-july,
"YOU CAN ONLY CANCEL/REBOOK THE APPOINTMENT AFTER 01-JULY-2018".
So could you please help me to understand why it is increasing the day by day and not able to book/cancel my appointment.
Did my passport number blocked to book appointment?
Also I had tried to book new appointment but still it is not allowing me to book other one, since it is saying as already appointment booked.
Please help me to book appointment and what needs to be done from my side.

Secondly i had a query that I have Visa appointment in July and my close friend got it in August, so can we book more than one appointments (group appointment) in the same time and date slot ? If yes then its a great way in which students can help each other out instead of competing for the appointments.

This happens with US student visas too. My friend got admitted in UC,Denver. They rejected his visa at Kolkata with the lame excuse that his bachelor's was in mechanical and he chose his MS in computer science! Now, if the university has given him admission, why would the consulate reject the visa application!?!?!

It's still the same. My friend gave his Visa interview on 11th June and it's 7th September today and till date he got no response from the German Embassy in New Delhi. All they have to say is "Your application has been forwarded and is under process". The state of affairs is extremely disheartening 😭

They have done away with interviews at the Delhi and Mumbai consulates for Visa applicants having admits to Masters courses, probably to tackle the same situation that you talked about in the video. Now one just needs to submit his documents at the local vfs office. You still have to book an appointment for submitting the documents but the dates are readily available plus no Visa interview is needed unless the consulate feels your docs are incomplete or something.
Sadly, not many are aware of this new procedure.
Thanks for the initiative have shared your video and dropped a mail as well, here in mumbai a friend of mine is trying to book a slot from last month but still no output, during the time of slot opening the lines are not reachable or on hold and once you connect the slots are gone she already paid the tuition fee and waiting for her visa appointment hope this video reaches to responsible authorities great work bro.
Post corona update:
Consulate isn't accepting appointments but VFS is and they are really sketchy.. My experience from 2 days ago:
-I called at 8:50 am agent said : it's fully booked for 2 weeks for 3rd week call monday!
Kept trying calling it doesn't connect just rings and cuts..
-9:30 am they opened bookings for 3rd week and some people got slots (WHY DID THEY SAY CALL MONDAY??)
-10:00am call finally got connected and they PICKED AFTER 45 MINUTES : all slots are booked for 3rd week!!!??
( I have exams and I'm calling them 24×7! How can they lie and waste my time? Who is getting does when majority of people in the groups are not even able to connect the call?? My uni says if I don't reach by 26th October I will lose winter admit status! I have put two years into this admission process how can they do this?? Why are there no solutions to this? Is it my mistake the pandemic happened??)

The problem of not having any appointments is not only limited to student Visa but for family reunion Visa as well...just 1 day back the slots has been opened for dec2019 ...I guess black market as you mentioned in another vedio is there in every field for every Visa category 😔

Bharath bhai, thank you for your support. i am a second year student in university of Sheffield , UK .Actually the situation is even worse here. Most of my seniors who were international students were offered jobs in the recent career fair but the UK border control rejected their applications for employment in UK even though they had a 4 month permit to work inside the GB borders after the graduation.
Bharath bhai, Indian passports aren't that strong.
Secondly, looking at the present conditions here, i would prefer Germany is still on a better terms. Talking about appointments for visa, it will be sorted out in a month or two, and hell yeah getting a visa is not easy anymore. May be last year there was a journal regarding this.
Thirdly, can you please suggest me some good universities in Germany and France for masters in computer science, both for Masters research and taught, with good acceptance rate.
Thirdly to every single person who is looking to study masters in Europe, i suggest you to look for French universities too. They are also a good option and getting a visa is probably a smaller mess.

Hi Bharat. I agree with you about how opaque the consulate can be about the while visa process. I had applied and interviewed at the Mumbai consulate back in April this year for my student visa for the winter semester. It's been over 3 months and i haven't gotten my visa yet.
There's no way to track the status of my application which is making all my planning so stressful. I get an auto-reply to all my emails requesting the status. If they need me to submit any other document, i would at least need some time. I don't know if they need anything from me or if I'm falling short of something. I wish it was transparent. Or a little proactive, at the very least.

Thank you for the information Bharath and the problem is same with the Chennai Consulate. They are troubling me with very minimal slots openings at very odd hours and I am unable to book one, even though I managed to be awake for entire four nights. The slots will be opened for few minutes and when I try to fill up all the details and enter the Captcha it asks me to re-enter the new Captcha again and again until all the slots are filled up which results in loosing slot. So I am unable to book the slot atleast once in the four days. I even wrote an elaborated email with the problems I faced, to the Chennai consulate and they don't give a damn. Please suggest me a solution.

Thanks to Bharat / Ritwik bannerjee videos !we had no clue that getting an long term study visa appointment will be next to impossible. my daughter got acceptance letter by Dec 15th.Class starts on April 1st 2019& enrollment is between March 6-22. we frantcally opened a Sperrkanto and ran around and sent a TT for 8924 Euro and we got the Blocked account confirmation /DAK health insurance /Mavista transit insurance et on Dec 28th.. From that day we were looking for anappointment slot . even by jan 2nd when we saw no dates available- we searched Google and found your ytube. The fact that 3-30am-4,30 am timing was the only chance to get an appointment was a revelation- During winter timing slot opens at 4.30 AM IST (12am in Germany) from 2 laptop /4 tabs we were hitting from 3.29am. At 4.30am both of us got for end FEB (trying on 3-1-19) my daughters showed error after submitting. Mine was succesful. Now we have an appointment almost 56 days from the trying date....now pray and try for preponement...Thanks guys..

I have wrote them (VFS) many many times and each time they said that no slots are available. I am having job contract from German Employer, I have everything ready with me.. Hey there fellers! Do remember that Europe has normal timings from October to March and daylight timings from March to October. Now it's 4.30 am IST. There will be plenty of appointments at 4.30-4.40 am IST. I just booked in Bangalore consulate.

I am planning to write a complaint to the German embassy about how the private agencies book the seats and sell it at higher prices .Some are even charging 60-70k for slot.I feel the cause of non-availablity of visa appointments is these private agencies who book slots for about 8-9 months prior.I would like all of us to highlight this fact to embassy with some evidence like snapshot of payment done to private agency,snapshot of emails written by these agencies about the payment for slots etc so that this serious problem comes to their notice
