If you open up the fence, put in a gate to brush mow and use the trees you drop to store hay bales on feed the cattle before the other pastures are ready. It's been a cold spring once again with not much moisture but they say next week it's supposed to get warmer and chances of rain but turning much warmer to summer temperatures as usual as it has been ages for a nice and early spring
how dow you like the new chisel plow 714 jd or as John deere calls it mulch till tool I loved using one we pulled it with an 8650 at times also used a brillion on they had both then they got a folding 714 jd to replace brillion one pulled it with a jd 9400 on triples kept older 714
Ryan, why not something less aggressive like a harrow? It would mix in the manure adequately? We use a drag harrow here in the cattle farm (no crops) and it can be pretty aggressive about breaking up the clods.
After the second application it was thick in spots and a harrow wouldn’t have cut it. I used the harrow on the hay ground and had to hit some chunks several times to break them up.
Ryan it is a dang shame that you chisel plowed that field last fall and put manure on it this spring. With off road diesel fuel hovering right at $5 @ gallon and I don't know how much fuel that deere uses a hour but I am pretty sure it is at least 12 gallon a hour if not more pulling that plow on those hills.
Here's the version with fixed audio!

The audio got a little out of sync on this one and I didn't have time to check it before it got posted. Sorry!
I'm re encoding the video and will post the fixed version soon. Check here for the link.
It felt a little like a Kung Fu movie. 😜
Whew! I thought I was watching a bad Kung Fu movie!!
@@HowFarmsWork It’s like the old Chinese Godzilla movie 😂
No worries, we watch these with the volume off anyway. JOKE!🤣 Love seeing the chisel!💪🏻
I said it a couple times already and it will not end anytime soon. How Farms Work is the best Farming Channel out there! :)
This channel always has the best action shots. Great video.
I 10000% agree with you.

Thx for sharing. Greetings from Belgium
Chatty Ryan today. Another great video. Hope the weather lets you get planting soon
I just love to watch that tractor work thanks Ryan
I use to hear contour farming for number of years but not so much anymore , an I really dig this video 😅👍🏾.
Hey Ryan!! Soil looks good.
Hi Ryan. The chisel plow performs well. Hopefully a increase in bean yields with the muck application.
Really cool footage pulling the chisel
Cool to see the 8235 on chisel plow
Hey Ryan love the dirt working videos
Oh I love tillage videos. Anyway good stuff stay safe
Hey Ryan, 👋👋 enjoy your videos the best.God bless.May and snowing WOW!, 90 Degrees here in the lowcountry of South Carolina
Interesting music you have. Its the same as Wham Bam Tesla cam uses..
82 sure looks like a good match for that chisel plow..
Love the tillage vids…keep crushin it Ryan 💪🏻🇺🇸😎

It's a lot better than the CASE.
I'm new to farming. Why chisel plow vs. moldboard plow?
A year or so ago you bought several Holstein calves and bucket fed them. Was that profitable and otherwise successful?
Thanks Ryan..

Great awesome video Ryan
Which transmission best for agriculture purpose power reversar or gear pro coller shift
I bet your dog knows how to work the tractor better than most people, I’m most people 😂
Have you guys ever tried planting triticale for feed as wrapped bales or do you focus on dry corn and dry hay?
Actual video of farming!
Nice video bud.
Hi ryan hows it going
awsome video ryan thumbs up and shared
Plans on tuning the 8r? Im sure it is on your radar.

I’m getting antsy for some more field work videos but the weather needs to get nicer!
What song did you use Ryan?
Do you use straight spikes on your chisel or twisted shovels?
Never mind I saw when you pulled the net wrap you were using twisted shovels. Good choice for manure incorporation
What are your soil types? We're way too much clay to try spring chisel plowing. It would just be clumps and not a good seed bed.
epic video Ryan like all way ❤
Like music choice ,and wasn't that the area you did the hunting segment several years ago.
audio is a little behind
Now that you've had the JCB for a bit, any update on your opinion of it?
Loving it more and more, I’ll be sure to do an update video in the next year or so.
Good video
Is this year 7 or 8 with the 8235R?
8! Got it in Fall of 14!
The boss was riding along.
If you think net wrap sucks, try getting all of the twine off of a round bale. No guarantee that you will get it, but the manure spreader will.
Is it just me or is the audio sync out a bit?
I had that also. Tried a refresh and that did not help.
its not just you
Yep audio is de synced
This one got out of sync and I didn't have time to check it this morning before it posted. Sorry!
@@HowFarmsWork No worries Ryan, so long as I didn't watch your face when you spoke I couldn't tell 🙂
Looked like a bale that got away and decided to stay in that ravine
The chisel plow .... Have a look to Horsch.
Hi
great video but audio was desync just a heads up ;)

Looks like I'm watching an '80's era Japanese movie where the audio and lip movement are out of sync... haha
Contact Deere and get in early on the self driving machines.
I just uploaded a chisel plowing video myself
Twist shovels on a chisel plow with no drags in the spring. You must farm some pretty easy ground. That wouldn’t fly most places
It’s like watching a old time Japanese show in English, tad out of sync
yes, like Godzilla vs Mothra!
@@zfactortedzabel9267 haha, can tell we are old cause most won’t have a clue who Mothra even is
