To get a better affect one could use the solenoid to just release a tab that is spring loaded so this way the solenoid isn't under power at all times. Then have a switch at the end of travel that makes contact upon pushing the breaker back in. However what you have done already is amazing in it self. I see how tight that squeeze was to get that panel back in it's home lol.
Hey Craig (or anyone else that knows sim cockpit building) can i ask a quick question? I'm trying to set up a very basic button box using DCSBios and code from DCS-BIOS Hub. I have everything working but Im getting multiple button presses for every one press. I have all 20 buttons pigtailed to ground, do I need to have a diode between each button? Its not a button matrix because each button has its own pin on an arduino mega. I tried the debouncing command but it doesnt seem to have an effect and I cant find anywhere online that says its compatible with DCSBios. Any tips to avoiding unwanted button presses?
Another splendid addition to the pit. Shortly you will be flying for real 😜Great work, Awesome
Thanks Dyson 👍

Hi Hydrolisk, I had very similar thoughts to what you described. A possible future upgrade that would be cool 👍
Hi Craig...you have been quite lately. What's happening with the simpit?

Hopefully you didn't trip any of the house's circuit breakers 😉
