Enjoyed this layout just yesterday, themed for the Christmas Season. Every time we visit we find something else we hadn't noticed before. Amazing job by the late Tom Groff.
I love this video, Alan, that is an exceptional layout, has of everything to please all fans. The Circus parade and the circus itself, Royal Soldiers and their band, neat, the passenger trains, airplane circling overhead, building catching fire, and the fire truck coming to put out, man I could live there, and find something new every second! Great video, Alan, Really!!! Five star*****
Wow! That fire scene was one of the coolest scenes I have ever seen on a layout. Reminds me of that huge layout in Germany when the plane is on fire and the airport crew comes to put it out. Love when the fireman climbs the ladder and puts the fire out with the water. Wonder how much something like that costs on a layout as far as a scene goes. Also only seen these type of scenes in O scale...not to much in HO scale.
Yes it is a wonder how they put this together. I have been going to this train layout since I was a little boy back as early as the late 60's still love visiting it. and over 50% of this stuff has never changed.
Awesome Video! Awesome Layout! Vey well detailed! If that crossing seen at 2:49 was real, I bet no one would ever cross the tracks! This is an amazing layout!
I'm use to seeing cool video on your channel, but this was extremely cool! The attention to detail is just mind blowing! Loved how that one train decoupled itself, went around, and re-coupled itself. The house fire was cool, too. Cool little airplane flying around with lights, little backhoe digging it's hole, cars moving around, even a circus! The people who set this up and maintain it are geniuses!
Indeed. As a self-acknowledged railroad nut, I've been to the Strasburg area many, many times, and I remember always wanting to step behind the curtain and see this amazing layout when I was a child.
Amazon layout and fully functional , I was just curious to know where can i get the air cable cars moving on the cables in the layout. Please let me know where can i buy those online.
Great video Alan! I was there back n 2008, its a great layout! And strasburg steam train was great too. Did you come over to Connecticut at all while in New England?
