I've been playing guitar for 25 years and this is one of the best teaching examples for guitar I've ever seen. He broke it down perfectly in a simple and easy to understand way

@Tom Taft stay safe. I've heard US has highest no. Of infection, avoid contact with other people's wash your hands properly and stay clean. Being clean and inside house is the main way you can avoid corona virus.

I absolutely love this song and I've been playing guitar for years, so I wanted to learn how to play it. UA-cam is my goto for learning pretty much anything, so I type James Bay, let it go guitar tutorial, and as if all the stars have aligned, up pops a video of James Bay teaching his own song. What an absolute legend.

Thank you so much for making this tutorial! I have a guitar I bought a while ago but only started trying to learn recently. I quickly realized knowing how to read music doesn’t help much, and the specifics of strumming, etc. are hard to learn through text. This is the first song I’m learning from

Is it just me, or does the song sound "happier" and less moody when it's strummed instead of finger-picked? Really goes to show how the details can change the feel and concept of a song!

This absolutely blew my mind, I returned to UA-cam to find a tutorial and found the man himself teaching it, this is a top 10 most beautiful song ever written and the way James plays and sings, just goes straight through my heart, tears it's so beautiful expressed the love that made this song, I always play it in my playlist more than once, such a deep and amazing talent he is 💖 I truly can't wait until I can finger pick and sing along .

If you don’t wanna tune you’re guitar down just put you’re capo on the first fret and move every shape down two frets and it’ll sound just like his.

You must know the struggles of artist trying to Learn a song “the right way” Thank you so much!
