Actually it's the other way around. When “Differential-Unlock” is selected, the electrical solenoid actuates the shift fork. The solenoid plunger extends out to move the fork and slides the engagement dog away from the side gear that is part of the planetary differential assembly. This unlocks the rear differential. just thought I'd let you know
