- This video demonstrates what the pulling power of a good side cover magnet looks like. I had a cover output 3235481 that was testing good but was still bad. RZR front differential. RZR front differential will not engage. Polaris RZR front differential magnet. RZR front differential side cover.

Man, this is a lifesaver! I have gone through the grief of doing just what you said, (put it all together and back in the bike, and didn't work!) I will try the steps you have suggested. Thanks!! EDIT, update, I think this is my issue, i can spin the armature plate, easily while it's magnetized.

Thank you. This was exactly the video I was looking for. I’ve gone through my front end two times still do not have four-wheel-drive. All tests show good from factory service manual as you stated. I questioned how strong the magnet was. I will be ordering a cover plate!

I have a Polaris 2022 RZR he keeps popping in and out of four-wheel drive on its own all by itself. Do you have any idea why it would do that on its own?
Short answer, no. If I were trying to diagnose it.. I would start by checking the plug near the front differential and the wire behind the dashboard switch. Good luck.
Where and what are the new parts labeled? What do I need to order then? The whole side case? Just a magnet?

Look for a service manual for your specific 4x4 rzr 800 and follow the instructions to check your unit.
