There is some pretty weird bug in this mission, where you have a small chance that the helicopter arriving to pick up the major might explode on its own. Normally it picks up the Major and leaves the area after about a minute. I have no idea what causes it. I only know that it doesn't matter whether you extract the Major or not, because it happened to me the very first time I played through the mission, and I let the Major arrive at the camp without causing any disturbances. Neither Kaz nor Ocelot say anything about the explosion, so I assume it is really a bug, and not some story-related event. In the video the chopper's explosion killed two soldiers, which is why I have 2 neutralizations attributed to me at the end (6:20), even though I had nothing to do with them. I still earned No Kills bonus, so I didn't bother replaying the mission.
+prenatual Is it possible that the helicopter is colliding with an invisible, mobile vehicle that was recently wormhole fultoned? The timing seems suspicious.
Discendo Vox I don't think so, because I've had it explode even when I didn't extract any vehicles or the Major. Maybe it collided with the car that arrived at the camp at 5:25? You can see that the car is almost directly underneath the chopper at that time.
+prenatual That makes more sense. Vehicles, or possibly enemies within vehicles, may have a z bounding box that isn't configured consistently. It would be interesting to test this on other missions with gunships.
Discendo Vox Good idea. One of the objectives in mission 41 is to destroy a gunship, which at one point makes a landing just like the chopper here. This bug might provide an interesting way of doing with it without losing No Traces.

It's my theory that the chopper exploded from sheer disbelief that anyone could be this good at MGSV. Also, you haven't killed a single person in your entire playthrough, or even alerted them to your presence. The game conspired against you to ruin your streak.
So apparently when enemies are seated inside a vehicle, the ones seated behind become blind? how did they not see, much less hear the jeep sucked into a wormhole?
+qsqua Enemies become deaf once they enter a vehicle. They can't hear your footsteps or any other noises, besides gunshots or explosions. The can still see you as normal, though. It's just that the enemies in the front car are conveniently placed in a way that the 2nd car is slightly outside their field of view.

How is the use of Phantom Cigar is possible in this mission at that time? Every time i used Cigar to skip the time, my mission fails by Kaz saying that the enemy had left the mission area, with scenes showing a helicopter taking the enemy away from the zone.
Helicopter explodes because they are programed to explode[suicide/die] when they touch land [helicopter is indestructable so when he is around close to 0 hp he will start to fall down then he dies/explodes because touching the land]
There is a funny way for this mission, there is a moment that the 3 guy finished the conversion and all the people union to a very small location, ready to get on car, that time I called the chopper's sleeping gas. Then all the soldiers just sleep there lololololol. Then I walk there and pick the 3 guys. The timing for this is a little bit hard to get, so I listen to there conversation many times until I know on which sentence I should call the chopper.

I know this game is not mean to be realistic like war simulator but even in metal gear world fulton teleportation(extraction) is kinda silly. It just speed up the proces and you can finish most of the mission under a 10 min that's like speedrun. I didn't upgrade fulton to this level but anyhow i still enjoy playing a mission more longer with harder way.

Fulton is the most powerful weapon in this game hands down. It can take a tank with a single shot, you don't even have to aim.

I noticed that fultoning(?) vehicles and containers don't make noise, but people do.
