Thank you. I never planned on the Mojave so I was trying to get the Maxx drivable that's why I made sure to point out that it is modified I just really didn't want to put all the stock stuff back in it
@L2theWcarscoffeelife I installed them but they dont do all that much if anything. Very tough to get the body on and they add weight. Basically, there is no way to control debris getting in.
Even though I like the clipless system on the slash, I like the Mojave better. My buddy bought a fender kit for his that keeps out dirt. He also installed roof rails and custom made skid rails for his hood and trunk. Thing is very tough and is the king of the dirt bashing trails around here. Great video and enjoyed watching this one.
I used the hot racing 1/10 Slash dust cover on the 6s Mojave because it has side mounted zippers. Some of the Slash dust covers have top mounted zippers which won't work with the Mojave center body mount
I tend to like the Mojave a bit more because it has more suspension it tends to handle better they are both strong and fast I feel like the Mojave is a bit better
This is the 6s Mojave its a metal chassis and this is the maxx slash its 6s as well so its not a slash that is a different vehicle as well. I do have a 4s Kraton that is great and I have no issues with a plastic chassis its basically the same thing as my Vendetta that's tumbled at 80 to 90 mph and did just fine its very durable
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I was just meaning performance/weight/size wise it is more of a scale comparison with Arrma's 4S Mojave SCT. Obviously, price points aren't competitive but that's a Traxxas problem.
@@GarcBomber Got ya I dont have the 4s Mojave so I cant say I do know the 4s Kraton is a blast just with the center clutch too much dirt gets trapped in the gearbox that needs to be fixed other than that its fun not really in the same league as the 6s
Since buying the Mojave the maxx/slash has been on the shelf. I am actually gonna either sell it or trade it for something different. It's just not a vechile that I like anymore. Too many defincies that I am not willing to spend money on to address. Foolishly spent money on the clear body which when painted, does look nice but not enough to get me to keep it at this point.
And now have since gotten rid of the Maxx/Slash and the additional body. Traded it for a new Scx6. Hobby shop gave me $350 for the trade so still paid a hefty amount out of pocket but definitely worth every penny. Off the charts fun vechile to drive! I have now gotten rid of every single Traxxas that I have owned with the exception of the V2 Maxx and TRX4 79 Bronco. I had 9 of them at one point but most had some annoying issue at one point whether it be coming with a faulty Receiver or blowing an esc. There was always some annoyance and many times these issues occurred either a week or so of purchasing or right out of the box. Once they improve their esc's and motors, particularly their 3s and 6s systems then maybe I will buy again but if they decide to keep the same moving forward, there is no way in hell that I will be suckered into buying another new vechile like I was with the Maxx/Slash. Wasted a massive amount of money on that from the new body to having to pay for the shipping to send it back to Traxxas to replace the faulty esc. Thinking about it makes me so damn enraged. Huge mistake, huge!
Really nice video thanks for sharing 🙏 Looking for A New Car.Maybe TRAXXAS ore ARMA!!!???both is really nice Cars 🙏 And fast fun and lots of smiles one the Miles 😊
Lol awesome start up😅touch bumper.when u get chance check out cen reeper American force edition I just picked up definitely awesome truck same size as the xmaxx. Appreciate your channel.
for me no I already have chargers and more batteries than I care to think about lol. If you have nothing than its not a bad deal. In my opinion you will still need to invest money to get it to drive right. In this video it was way better because i had the servo saver installed and shock extenders. Check out the recent video I did with suspension tuning its running great now its not bad rc but not out of the box. I cant say if its worth 700 or not to some it might be depends on what you want out of it. I have a lot of cars and a lot that come in cheaper than this and ran better for me 2 batteries and a charger are good bit of money that it can save you.
I dont think so the wheel nuts are different I know the center pops out but I dont think it will fit the larger wheel not but I could be wrong I tried the other way and it didn't go on
DOES the Maxx/slash have the 46 tooth spur in it? Or the stock 50 tooth? I know with the 46 tooth I was able to do 62 mph but only 57 with the 50 tooth. Only hit 60 mph on the very first run. Speed runs is the only thing this is good for in fact. Cant off road because it catches so much debris you'll be cleaning for hours. Flipping is another issue with every type of driving. Cant take it for a walk through the trails because the motor/esc does not allow for that type of driving. The Mojave is far and away superior and it is not even close.
I doubt it they look way longer and the spring rate would probably be way off there are some after market shocks for it I have seen its a shame they didn't do it right from the factory
It depends on what kind of driving you want to do. Both run on the ground very well the Kraton is a bit more wild it will wheelie for days and will jump no problem this to me is my best jumping rc it will travel a good distance easily. If you dont care for back flips and wheelies then it just kind of comes down to what you think looks best or if you want something that wont wheelie and stay planted to the ground then its definitely the Mojave.
appreciate your service and I enjoyed your review you seemed clearly to not like maxx but it happens. Beyond terrible. I know I swore I would never buy another one of their products but they make good ones unfortunately so I just hope I'll never have to do a claim because getting them on phone is impossible and they don't seem to fulfill any claim. A lot better luck on arrma goin thru AM. nothing compares to the red cat customer service though. Buy one of those things you're on your own . Great video thx

I like the Mojave so much I have four. Two stock for friends and two modified for me. Always a good time.
I've had two. Let both go when I got bored of them. They're in sale right now for 499. Might buy my 3rd 😂 thinking of doing a custom paint job.
Nice job. Stock vs stock is probably the best way to try and. Compare
Thank you. I never planned on the Mojave so I was trying to get the Maxx drivable that's why I made sure to point out that it is modified I just really didn't want to put all the stock stuff back in it
Scorched RC sells a fender kit for the Arrma Mojave 6s, that keeps most of the dirt out. Great comparison 👍
Thank you very much I need to look into that and hopefully they will make one for the Traxxas too because its horrible how much gets caught in there
Yes I bought those inner Fender liners their absolutely necessary
@L2theWcarscoffeelife and now I see that someone else actually already recommend them. Apologies...
No worries
@L2theWcarscoffeelife I installed them but they dont do all that much if anything. Very tough to get the body on and they add weight. Basically, there is no way to control debris getting in.
625 Canadian dollars brand new from Amazon the Mojave 6s was a no-brainer
Thank you for this helpful video! It could be interesting to test them inverting the tyres or try the Slash with no belted

Thank you very much I need to look into the fender kit and I agree its the better rc especially for the price
The 1/10 Traxxas Slash dust cover works perfectly on the 6s Mojave, it fits nice and only covers to the back of the motor.
I used the hot racing 1/10 Slash dust cover on the 6s Mojave because it has side mounted zippers. Some of the Slash dust covers have top mounted zippers which won't work with the Mojave center body mount
Mojave for the Win!😂 Great video once again!! Thanks!
Thank you very much
I love the Mojave, it is a beast !!
Great video!!
Yes it is and thank you very much check out my recent video I found a cool spot to run this wide open it was fun
Great review! What did you use to reinforce the body of the Maxx slash?
@invento123 Thank you very much I used some shoo goo and drywall tape
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife You rock man! It's been a while since the review, are either of the trucks better or do you prefer one over the other?
I tend to like the Mojave a bit more because it has more suspension it tends to handle better they are both strong and fast I feel like the Mojave is a bit better
If i had to choose between these two^^.....Losi Super Baja Rey😅
Cool to have both!
Yes it is it would have been nice Traxxas made it right out of the box but now with the upgrades its doing good.
If a Maxx slash hits you going 70mph it will impact with the force of over 400 pounds. Thats what chat gpt told me lol
Wonder what a 8s Outcast is because that's one heavy rc lol
Would you buy the slash again instead of a plastic 4S Mojave?
This is the 6s Mojave its a metal chassis and this is the maxx slash its 6s as well so its not a slash that is a different vehicle as well.
