Couple corrections: The seven-point star underneath the Union Jack represents the Commonwealth and the five stars to the right of the Union jack represent the constellation of the Southern Cross. The Southern Cross is a constellation famously seen in the southern hemisphere.
Fun fact, the reason why the kangaroo and emu were chosen for our coat of arms is because neither the kangaroo nor emu can go backwards, hence they both have to travel forwards. Therefore Australia is always moving forwards.
Really, really well done. So informative for non-Australians who know so little about this great continent and the country's political and geographical history. I love the low key, informal tone. It is like we're all walking along with John.
Jazzy you have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure you know a lot about our Parliament House, good on you. You have told me alot that I didn't know.....
Someday I hope to come to Australia, and this I feel like I really had the tour of the building with you. It was fun to see out over the city. Now I really want to go! Pardon me while I go look for flights...
