- The first big south swell of 2021 (LA BOMBA) hits at The Wedge! Surfers, bodyboarders and skimboarders charge shallow meaty slabs as the swell rises quickly throughout the morning. Riders include Tyler Stanaland, Blair Conklin, Tanner McDaniels, Tim Burnham, Brad Domke, Gary Abdulla, JJ Ayala, Space Man and more! All footage was filmed on the morning of April 23, 2021.

I caught this video so early most of the guy's wetsuits are probably still wet. At least now I know where all of the swells have been going that keep missing Hawaii.
Was watching Surfline Saturday early morning when the one of the first big sets came through, caught those guys floating near the jetty by surprise, counted at least three boards bouncing on the rocks, along with a few bodies.
This was footage from Friday only. Saturday was bigger. Edit coming soon 🤙

I know bob all about surfing, but watching these folk enjoying playing in these huge waves that are forming so close to the beach is mesmerising. Looks like so much fun. I wish I had of done this instead of my misspent youth.

I do live just a minutes walk from the beach but unfortunately it is the Irish Sea and although beautiful not quite so enticing to play in as this place looks.
We do get a few weeks of summer and until then I fully intend to work on my fitness and then try an entry level skimboard even if it is just on wet sand.
Love your content and the camaraderie amongst you all is fantastic to see.
