My son is a competitive dancer, and the fine line between putting him in enough makeup that he won’t wash out under the stage lights, but not so much makeup that he feels like he’s wearing makeup is sometimes *really* fine. I bought him the Maybelline Super Stay powder foundation and the Maybelline City bronzer, both recommended on Trixie’s socials, and I’m amazed. Primer, concealer to cover the angry teenage acne, Super Stay, City Bronzer, bam. Ready to go on stage. Covered everything. Surprisingly little mask transfer, even!

As a certified ghost-white, pale human being, I have only ever found two makeup brands that have a foundation shade as light as I am, which is borderline pure white, they're Too Faced Born this way in shade cloud and Fenty Beauty(which I don't remember the shade, but it oxidizes to shade slightly darker than mine which is kind of frustrating), so usually I either need to mix everything with pure white foundation(defeating the whole purpose and sheering out the foundation) or I end up using Jeffree Star Cosmetics' concealer in C1 as foundation and the white one for concealer.

I actually use that white "liner" sometimes. It's really just translucent white shimmer shadow in a pencil form. It's good for the inner corners of the eye, when you need to be precise, but you can only see it when the light hits it. Very good for a natural look, or for highlighting the cupid's bow or nose. :)
you should do a full face of cruelty free brands, all kinds though so not l'oreal or any sub-brands like Maybelline but wet N wild, nyx, essence, etc.

If a relatively pale drag queen cannot use your DARKEST SHADE of foundation for their contour, you probably need to think about your shade range for black and darker skinned people...
The shades do go darker, that was the darkest shade they found at CVS. It's more so the retailers fault for not stocking the shades, this is a common occurrence with many drugstores. The companies can have extensive shade ranges, but the store will only stock 5-10 shades because they go off of demographics.
maybelline does go quite dark with their foundation it just is simply the retailer
It depends on the store. At one of my Walmart stores, all 30/40 shades are available because of how diverse the area is. In another one near me, there are more pale shades. 20 mins away from me there is another Walmart that carries more dark shades. It's a regional thing, unfortunately.
