I am a retired heavy equipment mechanic, 39 years in the trade. The reason that Gierok Farms is one of my favorite farming channels to watch is because of how you do things. Like this project. Instead of buying a brand new piece of equipment and having all the modern issues (and mortgage) you take an old abandoned piece of junk and will turn it into exactly what you want and need. Love it.
Beat juice is a common thing hear in north central Pa. It won’t rot your wheels out plus if you have a blow out you won’t have a dead spot in the field for months. On the plus side deer love it so if it happen around hunting season, well I think you know what I’m getting at. 😂. Calcium chloride weighs 11.3 lbs a gallon and beet juice weighs 11 lbs a gallon.
What you got is probably condensation, here in northeast Kansas we have a Case IH 125 and it has tubeless tires and we filled them with windshield washer fluid, just can't use the cheap stuff it will freeze what we use is good to -30 degs.
Enjoy your videos . If that was a silage pushing tractor at one time we always used to fill tires full of just regular water push silage and then drain it all out and we always did it tubeless and you can fill tires with water or chemical but yeah it is really hard on the rim now is recommend rust converter if you're going to put anything inside of it to protect the steel but that's just my two cents keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching
Love the information on your channel. Yes, lots of tires are mounted tubeless and with fluid. Also, those back rims are the double drop design because they fit the wheel that is also used for a 38 inch rim, but it would only have a single drop rim design. We changed our 5088 from 38's to 42's by just changing the rims, not the wheels.
I would joke around with my dad too like that. We had trucks, older Chevy 1 tons, and he would always paint the Budd wheels. I made a comment like that too, "I'm not putting together a parade truck" LOL. Gee whiz I miss my dad like that. These videos are so much more than just farming...God Bless.
Changing the those tires is a manly operation. It's looking good I can see how proud you are. In days past calcium chloride was what everybody used but it's a terrible idea because it will corrode the rim so bad before you know it if there's any kind of leak.. Even if it takes time to find some more bolt on weights it's probably the way to go. Looks good !
The dual hubs look like they are for a IH axle. If they are for 4" axles, then it would be for a 1566,1586, 5288 or 5488. My bother's 7120 hubs do have the U bolts and his 7130 has wedges like the inner wheel. So you can get them either way.
Looks really nice! Always important to take care of your equipment! Personally have more attachment with the green kind but that is really nice looking tractor!
Great looking tires you got there Aaron. The farm i help at put them on the back tires of there big horse and have great traction for tillage. They have the BKT'S that replaced Firestones. People have different likes on tires so opinions very. A neighbor down the road has had them on there blade tractor for at least 5 years still going strong. I think you are going really like them.
Tires are a big investment nowadays. I've never seen fluid filled tubeless tires,so I would guess the rust is just moisture from years of service. Wish you guys had stocking caps on your website.🙂
we've run a lot of sets of tubeless tires with calcium chloride in them. if you don't have a leak they don't get rusty inside. we also use grease on our beds to help mounting. a lot of people here in Ohio are switching from calcium to windshield washer fluid.
My area it’s getting really popular the last 10 years or so using what they call beet juice without tubes instead of calcium chloride with tubes. Won’t freeze in our cold winters.
Love them bkt you guys do a great job we try to do our own tire work and a old tire guy gave me advice on when we put tubs in we air them up then let the air back out to get wrinkles out of tube we have had good luck doing this keep up the great job
No small job dismounting old tires and mounting the new ones. You should notice quite a difference in traction. We have a set of BKT radials on my son's IH 1486 and my 1030 Case. The R1W lugs seem to get a really good bite.
Nice deep treads. I have a set of original bf goodwrinch tractor tires on my 1947 La case high cleat tires, surprisingly they hold up air which occasionally looses some air .
For the weights, I remember on our Magnum 7220 that had OEM weights, you had a square headed bolt and then a square block and a nut, and they just pinched at the bottom
No those hubs are for the 5088 ,1486,1586,1568 and 1468,1466,1566. You need the hub with the key in it kinda like what's on the 686. Should be bar for your nose weights too bolt to the weight bracket.
I'm going to keep watching to see how the Magnum matches up against the 7810! We almost bought a Magnum, but my now Ex (5'2") couldn't see the drawbar when hitting the clutch, so we got a JD 7800. I know, it's an odd story, but it's how it happened. Traded a Ford TW20 for it. Don't say we were color blind.
Going to be and is a beautiful tractor do you ever pit fluid in tires especially the inside dule that you won’t be taking on and off I have a small tractor 40horse and windshield washer fluid concentrate if you buy a 55 gal drum puts a barrel in each tire no freeze and not hard on rim if it leaks and a spill is non toxic
did i hear you say them new tires are BKT my is a compact tractor but i have BKT tire on it and seem to do really good even in the snow i was clearing this week hope this info helps
Boy you made removing that big tire look easy. I know better, BTDT, as they say and that can be hard work especially if those tire have been in place for many years. That is a fine tractor even if it is red.
suitcase weights are held on by pure mass arnt they? run a connecting rod through all of them to make ONE mass and if you can make the front end jump enough to bounce off a giant weight I think when you land that's going to be the least of your problems, you might be looking at a new front axel, preferably in one peace LOL, I've never seen a way to "Connect" siutcase weights, just hung them on the bar and used allthread (3/4 or 1 inch whatever fits in the hole of the weight) to sandwich them together.
I bought a new LS tractor a few years ago with tubeless tires filled with washer fluid. No issues so far but wondering what would happen if I have a flat. All my other tractors have tubes some have chloride in them. Don’t know much about Magnums I have a couple of advantage series JDs and older IHs. Like the LS so far seems to be holding up well . Really enjoy your videos would love to sit down and talk farming with your dad. Keep up the good work.

Looks a nice tractor. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Nothing, absolutely nothing feels better than brand new rubber, congrats!
That can go so many ways.... 🤣👍👍

Tractor looks good with new tires!
She’s a beauty, you did good Aaron🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thumbs up guys lets break 100,000 subscribers, they deserve it. They put up quality videos and practical ethical farming.
You guys have a wonderful father ,
I think your dad loves the challenges more than you do.....lol Great job Guys
Great job putting the tires on guys
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing. New shoes on the magnum with duals is going to look great!

Truly underestimate being able to work with your dad and share the same passion that is just icing on the cake.
Same.

Nice upgrades Aaron

I’ve never seen fluid in tubeless tires either. We always had calcium chloride in them and if there’s any leaking it ruins the rims quickly.
Down here in the South Georgia it’s pretty common to fill tires with water without tubes
we've run a lot of sets of tubeless tires with calcium chloride in them. if you don't have a leak they don't get rusty inside. we also use grease on our beds to help mounting. a lot of people here in Ohio are switching from calcium to windshield washer fluid.

@@johnjohnson65 Do you know how much beet juice weighs per gallon?
Excellent ...thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for posting

Nice job guys that's real bull work looks great
Looking great every time you show the old girl, I do like the old magnums, much better Looking than the newer ones 😊
A great team.
Love those Magnums!!
The tires worth more than the tractor
Thoes are the IH 50xx or 1x86 style, and the Magnum hubs will be like the inner wheel

I bought the BKT for my Allis Chalmers D15, I like them and the price was good.
another good job
those are some big ol' hoops!
Thanks for another great video
For the weights, I remember on our Magnum 7220 that had OEM weights, you had a square headed bolt and then a square block and a nut, and they just pinched at the bottom
One way to retain a better turning radius with the duals on is to set the fronts at 120” on center.
Those wheel hubs look like what our 1066 uses, they changed axel type on newer models.
I like to see you pull the ripper with the 7120 and see if it pulls it better than the 7810.
Congrats! Spendy
sure you probably know by now, but those hubs are for International tractors. you need a set of Case IH hubs
You can put beet juice or washer fluid in tubeless if your rims are good. Yours is almost certainly from condensation
Lots of bkt rubber on our farm I wouldn't worry at all
I put just a small amount of oil in before putting tires on so they don't rust
Yup. Those are IH dual hubs. You need Case hubs.
Good luck with BTK my dry rotted ina couple years no backing hope you painted inside of the rims
Wen I ran my tractor I used smooth Hammerite paint on inside of rims ,
Those hubs look like there for IH 66 and 86 series tractors.
I never did figure out if taking them off or putting them on was harder.
Just out of curiosity where did the tires come from?. We change tires same as you guys do always looking for competitive tire pricing
That Case is a '91 ?? Looks so much newer.
Baby powder on the rim and tube helps seat the two , should have primed the rim inside
Great looking tractor it looks to me like the dual hubs are for a 66 86 or 88 series tractor my 1066 and 1086 have hubs like that
No those hubs are for the 5088 ,1486,1586,1568 and 1468,1466,1566. You need the hub with the key in it kinda like what's on the 686. Should be bar for your nose weights too bolt to the weight bracket.

❤😊 I LOOKED AT BKTs AND THE FIRESTONE WAS CHEAPER WHEN THEY HAD THE SALE GOING ON ❤😊

❤😊I HAVE SOME NEW FIRESTONE REAR RADIALS FOR THE 706 GERMAN DIESEL AND NEW FRONT TIRE'S AS WELL ❤😊
Look forward to watching you wear them down
I see you put radials on. I’ve read that bias ply are better in hill country like where you are. Be curious how you like radial vs bias on side hills.
Boy you made removing that big tire look easy. I know better, BTDT, as they say and that can be hard work especially if those tire have been in place for many years. That is a fine tractor even if it is red.
those hubs are for 88 series ih tractors
Where is your farm located? Because i live in Ettrick, WI and I see you have a Trempealeau County Breakfast sign!
I think closer to Independence.
You can google it or look on maps for their name.
ok, thanks@@frankwrogg2515 !
Go Case from Racine Wisconsin

Your dad needs a nice 8360
The hubs look like they fit a 14 or 1586.
What size is your tractor tires front and back on your Case IH 7120
I bought a new LS tractor a few years ago with tubeless tires filled with washer fluid. No issues so far but wondering what would happen if I have a flat. Now you're ready to go to work
Is it more fun fixing on dads tractor or on yours when you are paying the bill that was he had part for me 40 years ago nice video
Would you like to sell the dyna torque tires?
Bkts suck
