If you look closer, while I get it Walmart will make a percentage...that appears more like a 3rd party seller selling on their website. Not the company themselves.
@@darius318 Just don't understand why the artist didn't in the video call out the actual 3rd party who utilized Walmarts website. Oversight wise see why they'd be upset, past that why wasn't the name its listed under even mentioned.
@@darius318 Not to me, just upset not noticing the little things on the page listing. There's even a report seller button, which reports the listing to who's being blamed...Walmart.
They did that to me years ago!! One of their store machines cut open my hand. They only offered me $100 giftcaard & I didnt accept. Then they rescinded the offer believing rhey wouldnt be sued!!
She need to get with Ms. Tiny Harris (TI’s wife) who went to court due to Mattle the toy company who made baby dolls of her O M G RNB girl group with out her consent. It took her three years in court fighting this toy company she finally won and was awarded her 77 million dollars a few months ago.👏👏💯
Not to be mean cause I was named after my dad’s best friend who was a brotha. But how you let it get to this point. You get yo money and do not let this slide. That’s crazy as hell.
😂😂😂😂😂😂you think that what stealing is....wait till you hear what cops are doing.not that any of you have a problem with it since cops are handing money out.
Walmart is really out here wildin out... but yet wanna talk about no longer using DEI but profiting off DEI...they gonna F around and find out by being bankrupt
First of all, there are individual sellers (possibly overseas) selling those shirts. Not Walmart. Walmart may just be the site that the sellers are using. Those are individual sellers selling those shirts. She's got a lot of different people to take action against.
I said from the beginning that stocking shelves in the middle of the day while customers shopping is crazy but trying to save money and cut out the third shift
3rd party vendor likely from China. They're famous for copying & it's impossible to stop them she might get Walmart to stop listing them but they just pop up on a dozen other online retail sites.
The end user is the responsible party. Unless Walmart can prove that someone “misled” them, they are complicit in IP theft. They are busted. Game over. I hope she sues.
@@TheErikaShow Not so, Amazon, Temu & yes even Walmart has Marketplace. They act as distributors for independent vendors such as those selling fashion items so they're not responsible for the goods sold via those vendors. Best she can do is file a DMCA with Walmart but if this vendor is selling her knock off T-shirts on one site they will be selling it on many others. Even if she does get them to remove the listing you can bet that vendor will just setup a new vendor name & start up again those China based sellers are notoriously hard to stop.
Oh wow 🤯 Her art work is great first of all. How is Walmart getting away with this. It's sad that Black artist have it rough just getting there work recognized now they have to fight a company that has an endless money flow. We can't win 😔😠
If this is true...I wouldn't have done a 'presentation'....she needs to lawyer-up....again...if this is true. I hope it's not a stunt to get people to buy her work.
This is not a black thing, not a white thing, not a queer thing. This is about copyright infringement. It is most likely Chinese theft of copyrighted content being put on products which are then picked up by big retailers and sold for profit none of which goes to the artist who created the image. As the copyright owner the artist is unlikely to have success going after the original thieves who are overseas. However, as an American, IF the images are REGISTERED with the copyright office, you CAN go after the American retailers and sue for damages. This happened to me. I had no money to hire an attorney, but I documented EVERYTHING then was fortunate to find a firm to take the case for a %. I hope she does the same. But I’m sorry, race has very little to do with this except that her work is very successful to a certain audience. Artists….if you register your images with the copyright office, you improve your chances of success in the courts! I hope she sues all the retailers selling her stolen images. She could win a lot!
This is a black thing the hell you talking about... America has a culture of stealing from black people also has a culture of stealing people just like the land is stolen...
Your reply misses the point. The underlying reason for the theft may be pure greed, but because race, class, sex, and sexual orientation all have material value in the real world, the theft of the work of a Black, queer, female artist is going to impact them in ways that magnify the hardships that are already in effect. Sometimes, the mere mention of race so wigs some of you out, you don’t pause to consider what is actually being said. If someone is already a socio-economic underdog and they take a massive hit, that hit is not merely financial. It’s a tax on their humanity.
That’s not Walmart directly that’s a vendor. You would see “sold by Walmart” if it was Walmart doing it. Walmart has a marketplace like Amazon where sellers post their own products on the Walmart website.
Incidently, anyone notice all the Dei walmart christmas commercials recently? Ive seen Busta, Nia long and lorenz tate.... they felt that black friday blockout for sure. The same as papa johns getting shac... insidious rascists, using Black celebs to get people back without doing anything significant.
Target did this to me as well. I designed a dress just some art on IG. I walked in Target and saw the dress and even the model styled exactly the way I drew her. I now only draw or 3D model big named brand designers. Gone head and steal from Prada. I post my stuff on Art Station as they will have my back if it’s stolen.
They were using facial recognition without our consent as well. I noticed it a few yrs back which is when I stopped going unless absolutely necessary. At least drawing attn to the issue draws attn to her business. I'll be checking it out.
I already canceled both my Walmart and Sams club memberships... yall need to follow suit... im going with costco... they need to feel the financial downfall i know i spend 600 or more ah month in Sams Club, and i have a small business. I could imagine how many with bigger businesses

Walmart barely compensates their employees, so why is anyone surprised that they're stealing other's work? 😒
Lawyer up and sue. They will have to pay you.
Get a good attorney and sue them for theft.
Just sue them.
Don't Allow Walmart To Get Away With This!!😮😮
They are doing what the Kardashians have been doing to black designers for the longest.
Pay her.
Yup still screaming..DO NOT PATRONIZE WALMART
Get yo MONEY LADIES!!! $MILLIONS coming Her way!!
If walmart did do it they would be smart to pay that woman out and allow her to help them design clothes, artwork and apparel.
It’s Walmart they have no morals
Sue the MESS out of walmart 😡
As if we needed another reason to hate Walmart
Easy lawsuit and now free advertising
I hope she gets paid so much she can get a studio as big as a Walmart.❤

this is my biggest fear.. having my IP stolen.. I'd rather die with my creativity..
Sue, sue and sue again.
Is sue your mum?
Even when you patent and copyright your work...they take it... take them to court for not entering contract agreement or payments for thier work.
I bought that shirt, Sis I’m sorry. What’s her page? I will buy it again.
Absolutely!!! Class Action!!!
Hope she sues and gets big time paid!!!!

Why not Target, either? Are they affiliated together or has Target jeopardized itself in another way?
This happens all the time...and not just to black & Queer artists. I just saw one of my paintings made into a t-shirt on Etsy yesterday.
Ok baby don't worry some of us want buy it until you get paid.
I hope she gets paid millions
Sears did the same to my brother. He did a now popular copyright phrase he sued and won
yet, another reason to Never shop there. Walmart has been disgusting for YEARS🤮😤🤬
Give the woman the money Walmart
nah she need to own walmart🤨
Nothing unusual. We create it, they steal it and feel it's there's. Get your money sis
This isn't the first time a company done this!!! Sue them big time. Not surprised, been stealing.
Stealing and lying to the public is how these companies make so many billions. Adrienne is a brilliant, creative artist. Get lawyered up and sue!
