Dudes, for a channel with a relatively small following ( in the grand scheme of things) the work you're putting in and how well it's going is outstanding! You are headed to the moon with this! Best of luck and tight lines
Thanks for the update guy's, always a pleasure to have your company. Had i still been in Dorset I'd have liked to invite you down to the stour or throop for a barbel fish off. Anyways I'm already looking forward to xmas now knowing that you are putting out some fantastic content for us all to enjoy. Hope you both are well and have a great xmas. Regards and tight lines.
Comedy gold 🤣 more pokemon references, water stone to evo bream. You guys are legendary! I'll be watching 09:00 on the 25th and happy Xmas and new year to you both.
Looking forward to all this branching out it will help your channel expand to. Attracting other kinds of anglers rather than just one kind of angler. Different locations different styles and scenes. Keep that up and ur channel with explode by end of next year lads been watching your channel for few years now
Loved the update.. thinking about the Matt Hayes challenges he has done over the years with his mate , “so many species in 24 hrs…” could be fun and could be a great watch….
Over here in Northern Ireland salmon season is may to October 20th and it’s super hard haha 3-4 a season is very common on my local river and that’s fishing a lot haha
Coombe abbey suppose to have some big zander 👍🏻 good to hear you guys are busy 👊🏻 would love to fish Holland they got some monster predators over there 🐊
Wait until it gets a bit warmer for barbel. Last 2 weeks of the season would be your best bet. Use 2lb test curve rods on falling water. Fish 2x 8mm pellets on a hair. Feet hemp and groundbait in the feeder often for the first hour. When you know you’re on a hard bottom and fishing, leave it and they will find the feed. Fish into dark for a few hours along the crease line. Use a 5oz lead on falling water on the Severn, 12lb flouro bottom. If you get one, hold tight! Shout me if you have any questions lads!
Smashing it boys! Well behind you on this! Would happily take you around midland game fisheries/fisherwick lakes for there big pike/catfish! Would love to see you guys get some big cats out! @banksidebrothers
Have a look at giving LRF a go on the South coast. Catch as many mini saltwater species as you can. Ben Bassett has a great blog and Devon Lerfer on UA-cam, great places to start.
Love these wee podcasts, it's good to see what happens behind the scenes and just how much of a grind you guys put in producing your top content! What makes salmon so difficult to catch is they don't actively feed when they come back into freshwater to spawn. Ideally you want to catch them when they have recently came into freshwater and bright silver as arguably they fight harder. Once they've been in fresh water for a couple of weeks they start to change into their spawning colours. Males develop a big hooked jaw or "kype" for fending off other males when they are getting down and dirty with the females. Living in Scotland I'm fortunate to have caught alot of salmon over the years, its no mean feat let me tell you. I've gone full seasons without a fish so when you do get one it's that bit more special, it can take alot of hours for little reward 😂😂
Lads are back on it with the SnagCast, love these. Any future trips abroad you’re thinking on going on? I know you lads mentioned going to different places around the country, but any plans for trips abroad? Also, I’d love to see another session catching sturgeon, love the work you guys are doing. Can’t wait for the next video.
River Kenai in Alaska the place to go get the timing right 4 deferent salmon run the river May and June the kings. August and September pink and silver
With the fly fishing I'd probably start with Pike before moving onto anything else. The learning curve to the casting is steep, and can take a while to get the hang of. I don't know anything about Salmon, but Trout are pretty finicky and if you're casting is sloppy it can get frustrating pretty quick. Topwater flies would work pretty well for Pike. Plenty of folks over here who catch them with streamers, poppers etc. Not many Pike in my part of the world, but I've caught plenty of bass with topwater flies. Theres a guy in Michigan, PeelinDrag, who catches a lot of Pike on the fly rod. I don't think he's too active anymore but he has some great vids catching Pike on home-made flies. Tight lines.
Try and get a pike out of Salford Quays they go to 30lb+ and its absolutely solid boys, 30-70ft deep....Videos are mint keep them rolling one of the best channels on youtube, enjoy your coffee in Dam lads ;)
@@jamiewalters7750 haha well i did take the go pro but it was that wet and muddy i didnt bother using it, would have got cakes in shite and not a very good watch.
This is my first year fishing, caught my PB today at 21.4lbs (carp), just a quick video idea is if you could include places to fish, I'm in the Midlands so unsure of where to buy a ticket for next year, whether to go for a syndicate water, or BAA, or anything maybe specify places that may be worth going for. Great vid as always lads 👍
