It really depends, games like the ping pong ball scoops are pretty easy, while the one you have to grab the prize itself is near impossible because the arm is programmed so every X tries itll grab it strongly.
fun fact: from what i have heard some claw macines have a "grip percentage" where operators can actually choose what percent the grip on the prizes will actually be good

A lot of toreba claws are based on UFO catchers which are winnable as long as you have a lot of money and strategy in mind. It's good that there are staff helping though, it's a good compromise for only about ~$20.

I think the key is to look at every angle you can of the machine and pick something easy, not something you want. I still have that manta ray somewhere.
