ESPN has always been bad for showing the same play over and over while leaving out important plays. After showing those interceptions over and over, they left us wondering how Northwestern got inside the Utah five-yard-line and didn't score.
Congrats To Northwestern. As a Utah fan it makes me sad that sitting out for the NFL and Transfer Portal is the just the norm now. Teams look drastically different for Bowl games when in the past it was the most important game of the season.

This is an appropriate end of college football for me... this year the things that I like about college football died. I want to start by saying the Utah AD is also on the college football playoff committee. The combination of NIL/transfer portal/immediate play - has resulted in being to buy players... the days of coaching staffs finding kids and coaching them up to win are gone. Teams have chased after larger and larger conference payments to be “competitive” - the results are huge conferences where you play teams so far away that the fun of having opposing fans nearby is gone. The games have become soooo long with all the commercials to pay said larger and larger conference payouts. The playoff committee DID EXACTLY the thing that brought about the BCS computers and with multiple undefeated power 5 winners, the playoff came into existence to fix that issue- AND THEN THEY PUT NOT 1, BUT 2 TEAMS WITH A LOSS AT HOME above a perfect season and a team who lost on the road to an unbeaten team. Corruption. money over the sport. College football is dead to me.

There’s no building a team, because if a coach coaches the players up, they just leave the following year. Its become too big of a business that favors certain programs over others.

It's not that much of an upset. Utah is one of the country's most physical teams but the problem with Utah is they can't throw the ball. It's not even merely the fact that they don't have Cameron Rising. Utah doesn't have any weapons this year. If they can't choke out their opponent, they lose.
Montreal won the 2023 Grey Cup on a TD with 13 seconds to go, which gave Winnipeg one or two chances to turn it around. Unlikely but was there and better than running the clock out!

Washington themselves had a bunch of close games against bad teams. Looking at last year's TCU team and 2021 Michigan team that is one thing they all had in common. Close wins against inferior competition

It's not that much of an upset. Utah is one of the country's most physical teams but the problem with Utah is they can't throw the ball. It's not even merely the fact that they don't have Cameron Rising. Utah doesn't have any weapons this year. If they can't choke out their opponent, they lose.
Fair enough as to why NW, but I wish you punted the ball and given Utah a small unlikely chance to tie/win.

Montreal won the 2023 Grey Cup on a TD with 13 seconds to go, which gave Winnipeg one or two chances to turn it around. Unlikely but was there and better than running the clock out!
