-Breastmilk helps protect your baby from some illnesses.

I would stop breast feeding if it's causing me discomfort physically and mentally. Breast feeding is optional after 6 months you 're really not depriving him on anything if you will switch to bottle feeding. Moms wants the best for their babies but it has to be reasonable, comfortable and safe for both. Wishing you all the best.
