Zoey and Ben, Sam and Ben... They were both so much better than Elle. It was just to rushed because the series got canceled while, "the girl who got away" was also purely based on her looks so we never fell in love with her. They really fumbled the bag on this one

I really like Jean-Luc Bilodeau and even more I liked the couple "Josh&Andy". I watched that series just to see him. Then I discovered this and I love it so much. It is very fun but at the same time full of emotions. And Zoey was the best, my favorite (nice, kind, sweet, clever) and the only one he did not even go to bed with.

Zoey was in one more episode in the season premiere but nothing much happened and she never returned which was disappointing. I really thought she would come back and they would end up together.
Quite frankly, I so hope they do not end up together. Zoey is not "you may think you love Riley, but actually this woman is so much better for you," as "you can't have Riley, so you should take her because if you don't you're a selfish swine and you'll get no one." Seriously, 5.9 was handled very clumsily. Supposedly Ben and Zoey are perfect together. But this has three obvious flaws. (1) They're supposedly perfect because they're identical, even though the other couples on the show are clearly not identical. (2) The common similarities are clumsily presented (they both like steak! Well that preference is so amazingly rare they should just get married immediately!) (3) And in one crucial area they are not alike at all. Ben is, by turns, impulsive, loyal, loving, persistent, charming. And Zoey is none of those things because she doesn't have a personality. She's just generic pretty unwed mother. If Ben and Zoey are the end game, then their kiss should be an emotional high point of the entire series. I don't see it that way, I don't see that they are more attracted to each other than Ben was with Riley. What I see is not true love, but convenience for other people. It is convenient for Danny that Ben is attracted to someone else. And apparently it is convenient that Ben never beats his brother at anything, but is happy to find someone Danny wouldn't like twice at. And it's also convenient for Riley that Ben choose the woman who Riley is not jealous of, and who is arguably more conventionally attractive. Supposedly Ben doesn't deserve Riley because although he's known her all this life, he doesn't know her as well as Danny does. So he should choose the woman he's known for two months over the former high school classmate he works with and who's currently his roommate. Why? Because Zoey needs him more. This speaks to his essential decency, but one would think he should get something more for his troubles. It's not as if the other characters base their love lives on selfless altruism There's an unpleasant sense of hypocrisy involved. After all, Bonnie acts selfishly and irresponsibly, but she will ultimately end up with Brad. It's one thing for Ben to be punished and humiliated for his sexual dalliances (as he is in seasons three and four), but why do Danny's affairs have no moral consequences? There's an unpleasant element of bait and switch involved. Riley rejects Ben because she doubts he loves her and doubts his maturity and selflessness. But he does love her, and is becoming more mature. So how is it fair that Riley chooses the nitwit brother who looks hot with his shirt off? And if Ben is mature by the end of the series while Danny is still a nitwit, then that means maturity and intelligence can't be why Riley chooses Danny. And if Danny is the one who for ten years would rather sleep with another woman than tell Riley he loves her, then he can't claim that he loves her more than Ben. So then it would turn out that Danny deserves Riley more because being taller, richer, more handsome and more popular make him a better person than Ben. If Zoey is just a way to take up time until the series finale, fine. But if the show actually ends with them together, I'll be quite annoyed.
