You weren't lyin' when you said "buckle up" You broke that $hi# way down. Lot's of very useful information here. Well delivered and easy to understand explanations. As a long time Vegas user there's so much more to learn. I'm pleased that we have you. Cheers.
Thank you so much for doing this one. Vegas is overwhelming for a beginner like me. But now i can ask the questions on how to ...because i know its there. In that affect this video is golden. I subscribed. Keep up the good work. Thank you again. I feel unworthy.
Thank you for watching! Here's a recent newbie guide for the little brother software movie studios. It's 97% the same as vegas pro and may help you out. ua-cam.com/video/sG9RkgPdTyc/v-deo.html
Thank you Adam. This is my spot, I have been a Vegas fan since version 2! Vegas is the Best NLE, I do special things in AE, Davinci, etc then bring it toVegas. I need these tutorials to keep me up to date.
Hi Adam. When I first started your video and you explained how you were going to cover it ... I had my doubts that i would learn anything ! However; I was wrong. Your method of moving around worked well. I also kept in mind that you will have more in depth tutorials later on. So if I was to rate your video I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Why not 5. Well it was only for one small reason, its a problem you find with a lot of you tube videos . Before i retired one of my jobs was providing finance for small to midrange companies. I found a lot of my clients were very well versed in their products and service and failed miserably on the financing or monetizing their business. They though if they knew the product then the business would flourish ......7 out of 10 businesses failed because of that idea. Same with UA-cam and IN PARTICULAR videos relating to making video films etc. Two important things are needed 1/ good product knowledge 2/ and delivery. Your product knowledge is excellent but the delivery ------ YOUR VOICE left much to be desired . You must remember you are talking on film or video where the audio (in this case your voice) is at least as important as the video content.. Not only must you explain what you are doing and why but also must do it a quality of voice that is also interesting to listen to. It must be a good pitch, no running of into a mumble and it must be authoritative . I held my self from skipping the video because i was getting a headache listening and trying to understand. I hope, Adam, you dont take this criticism as an insult... it isnt meant to be. Instead of a good video it could of been excellant if you just slowed down and concentrated more on how you were narrating. Again .... a job well done, I did learn a lot and I would recommend the video to all interested in Vegas .... I have hit the like and subscribed to your channel because I know your future videos will be of great help to me... Cheers ! Bob
As a video game editor there's a lot of features i wouldn't use of which i wished i could! Overal a great video!! Thank you for putting the effort into this video 😁👌🏻. Nuts what the program can do
I notice you said you recorded your band using Vegas. Was this a multi track session? What interface do you use?...ASIO drivers for the interface? As you may know there are 'audio issues' with Vegas since version 11 when using ASIO drivers and VST plugins in bus's and the master channel in the mixing console. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Cheers
I actually want to one day do a series about this. one day. I've got a few audio engineer friends and I feel like it would be a great 10 part series about how to record your band in Vegas. What we did was mic our drum set and amps into a mixer. Each person played alone to a click track. We output the mixer into the computer and let Vegas record. You can duplicate and pan mix tracts, ad reverb, ect.. from there. I didn't add any plug ins. It turned out nice. That was 8 years ago now. Knowing what we know now, the only thing I'd change is the mic techniques, our input volume, and the windows sample rate. Live and learn.
Love this video, it's such a great resource even for someone who's been using Vegas for 10 years now. One thing that's been on my mind is I wish there was a website where people could share their customized vegas transitions. Specifically transitions for animating text. I find myself spending hours working on those and it would be nice to share so others could use them. Anyone know of a site like that?

Hi Adam, I purchased Vegas Pro 17 (365) because I went on a trip and I used my phone to record videos of my trip. I would like to unite all the videos to create one long video. Can you make an instructional video on how to do this? Also, one of the videos accidentally recorded in slow motion so I would like to speed it up to normal speed. Can you show detailed instructions on how to do this with Vegas Pro 17? I would also like to add pictures from my trip to the video I'd like to create and add voice recording explaining details of the pictures I'd like to add. Lastly, it'd be great to add a picture of a map of the trip I took and narrate into it stories of each of the cities I visited. If possible, I'd like to add lines on the map to depict the motion of my traveling through each stop on the map. I know I've asked for a lot of help; I'd be so grateful for any guidance you can give, I'm a beginner in this realm.
Am kinda new to vagas but have done video editing in the past. Is there a way to cut out the wind but keep the audio. I know there's a few different audio filter but quit figure it out. Thanks
Great video. The reason why I Vegas works so great because its original form before video was just plain audio editing and that was a sound Forge by Sony actually by Sonic Foundry. And it was the only editor that was red book and orange book compliant for CD mastering or burning. If I remember correctly. I had the very first version and then my favorite forever was a sound Forge 9. It is very robust and very quick at processing and doing things on a high-definition zoomable level compared to other types of trimmers and editors. Plus all the VST. I always liked it better than Cubase. Or gold wave. But then they made the video version which also included the original format and structure of sound Forge so Vegas essentially is audio and video of sound Forge and the way the effects and everything is the same. It's very professional very simple to the core of the logic. I also have pinnacle and I use it for stupid things but that program every version they ever released has had bugs. After Effects and Premiere has always been solid but it's not as simplified as Vegas. Keep up the great work helping people out I came here because I just got 17 and just wanted to see what you had to tell me about everything if there's anything I don't know I can all learn it now.
What I'm really looking for is the very best editor that will process the effect using my RTX card and 8 cores processor. I haven't found anything that is using 100% of my resources. I have liquid cooling and I created a wind like tunnel I'm ready to Crank It Up overclock it but nothing will use it 100%. Like when I run a video game or a run some 3D rendering programs I will get that card scorching-hot. But I cannot get a video editor to make it scorching-hot.
