- In this video we are taking a look at the sub 1000.00 72 gun safe from Cannon available from Costco. Quick junk or jewel video. We know you can't expect alot in terms of security from this price point but you would expect some value. Lets take a look and see. Spoiler, frends don't let friends buy safes from costco.
For the price you really can't beat this though no matter how you wanna put it.
Agreed, can someone suggest an alternative of this size/storage capacity at sub-$1,000 or even +/-20% that is significantly better? Definitely all ears. And Costco delivers these for FREE. So when you say sub-$1,000 I’m talking delivered to my garage threshold.
Some test you did there. I definitely use my safe to keep my glass of water stable. Fire test? Lock test? Pry test? Anything other then your bang on the side and watch this cup move test?
Its made of tin foil. Whats to pry and why would the lock matter. Feel free to buy your own and perform some of you own. Until then, maybe try to stfu
Either you got a bumb one, or, Cannon saw this video and Improved this model. I say this as I recently picked up a "blem" one of this model, and it has none of the issues the one in your video has.
I have a Cannon 64 gun safe and it's very well built.
Do you think the bighorn safe would be better ?
If you get it straight from Cannon, you won’t have that problem. Costco sells returns all the time.
I'm a little confused.. I feel like your looking for $2000+ quality out of a $1000 safe.. not quite sure what you were expecting.. I do like your vids though! Just a bit of a head scratcher with this one
No, its more like there is really very little value at this price point. Not an expectation of quality.....just the realization that at this price, you shouldnt expect much of anything

If you're gonna spend you money on something, why waste it on crap. Spend a little more and get double the quality. Me seeing the flexing on top of the safe was a deal-breaker for me. Like he said, i've seeing that crap on filing cabinets. Cannon should be embarrassed to be putting their name on that crap. I guess these days, no one cares anymore; they should though

Cannon makes both good and junk... If you try to buy from me I'll try to sell you a $2500-2500 safe. Cheapo won't protect in a fire...

Do you have a recommendation in this price point then?
You use to be able to find a 12 gauge (metal thickness) gun safe in this price range (prices have skyrocketed recently). This safe is either 14 or even 16 gauge thickness (the higher the number the thinner the metal). Fine for keeping your kids away from your guns but nothing more.
