As someone in the UK, I'd love to know what you think of country musicians from outside the us, I'm thinking the shires and the Belgian band who did an entire film based on Americana that they play, I like all of these as well as the US stuff but don't know what someone in the know who's from the US thinks. (Especially after your time in the UK)/ Also how do you feel about the super patriotic stuff that is popular in the US but doesn't export well, I'm looking at you Toby Keith, and the effect on increasing the popularity of country's music oversees..

I see what you mean, but TikTok is the literal biggest needle mover for music discovery in the world. Like, it DOES reflect reality and is almost the only discovery that matters right now. So it’s kinda hard to ignore!!

I've never felt more disconnected from one of your videos. Aside from Ernest and Lainey, I've never heard of any of those songs and the only other artist I've heard of is Muscadine Bloodline. Now, in fairness, I don't really listen to the radio, I don't have a TikTok, I don't use Spotify, etc. I get 99.9% of my music just listening to Pandora while I work, which has a tendency to repeat certain songs A LOT. So most of my music is Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, HARDY, Bailey Zimmerman, Tyler Hubbard, Warren Zeiders, etc. And, if I'm being honest, I find them much more catchy and enjoyable to listen to than anything you made on this list (and when I say ANYTHING, that really surprises me because I usually find at least 1 song I like from your videos).
Would love to hear your thoughts on all these “retreads” I hear on the radio: Young Love & Saturday Nights, She Had Me at Heads Carolina, and now Chevrolet by Dustin Lynch. Are they cheating the system by using the formula of much better previous hit songs??

I don't normally comment on any videos, but I wanted to share an artist who has brought the genre of country into the modern Christian music world, Anne Wilson. There are a couple of new duets that one is being played on the small independent radio stations and another is one that have a flavor of another language in it. For King and Country's new song featuring Lee Brice have been released to country radio from Curb Records and not Word is the Religious record company that Curb owns. Closing in on the top 20 Music Row radio charts now. The song is called Checking In. The other song is the Latino artist Carin León coming over from the Latin charts on his new song featuring Kane Brown call The One. I did not know Curb Records signed Darryl Worley. His new single out in small independent markets called Tractor Time which he have help from Chris Janson and Justin Moore. Lets just say that Darryl Worley is back.
Hey Grady if you haven’t already heard it listen to Muscadine Bloodline’s song “Jamie all over”. It’s a cover of an emo rock song and I forgot the name of the band but the lyrics of that song with a country twang is pure heaven

The Ernest album has been my favorite this year! I think you nailed the feeling with the it’s a modern produced album but feels like a classic!
