hey @yfinders! Just want to clarify at 3:10 that the limit doesn't exist for that problem. The expression lim x → 0 (1/x) does not equal ±∞ because the behavior of the function depends on the direction from which x approaches 0. If x approaches 0 from the positive side (values greater than 0), 1/x approaches ∞, so you're correct on lim x → 0⁺ (1/x) = +∞. However, if x approaches 0 from the negative side (values less than 0), 1/x approaches -∞ so again, you're correct on lim x → 0⁻ (1/x) = -∞. The issue is that the left-hand and right-hand limits are not the same, so the overall two-sided limit does not exist. Even though I do know that both sides approach their own infinite sides, it’s incorrect to say the limit equals ±∞ because that suggests the function approaches both infinities at once, which isn’t possible. Instead, the limit depends on the direction of approach.
True! Thank you so much for pointing this out, my bad, I'll add this to the description incase others realise this too but do not see your comment. Thanks for watch, stay tuned for the next one, hopefully free of errors lmao

To be serious, I don't know if this channel has already touched on sigma notation. I haven't watched all of the videos yet. But ideally, every time you say "sigma", the video should play the Vine boom sound effect and show a random brainrot sigma image.
I find it interresting that i learned this in a diffrent way mostly in highschool, sure it leads to the same results, but it wouldve still been nice to do so also in this way(might be in part because it was just one of the topics), now in college i want to learn it a bit deeper before we get to it for Analysis lol(we have it already in the first sem btw xd), sure its quite simple, but yet good to know clearly

@yfinders you're good! It's an easy or common thing to mistake, and I understand.
@@soliSchuler I've been looking at this for about 15 minutes and I don't know what you mean, are you trying to say that the limit diverges?
@custom3828 oh shit, I must have confused the function 1/x with 1/x^2, which is + ∞ as x approaches 0. sorry about that.
