I grew up in the US, in a very religious catholic family. I relate so much to your story and I’m on my meditation journey now as well. Learning to be alone is such an important part of healing from bad things in the past. Hope you’re having a good day ☀️

Love this authentic sharing!
I’ve been in a general state of loneliness for years. Your video title pulled me in.
Right now I’m reading a book about a Buddhist nun who retreated to a cave for 12 years. Eating it up!! I think I long for true solitude like that, and like you’re sharing about. But I’m in a marriage. My husband has a serious illness that I feel I agreed on at a deeper level. I will not abandon him.
I feel I can have it all- solitude, somehow. And my life in this big city of San Francisco.

What is it that stops you from abandoning your husband ? what is that feeling ?

@@annediamond808I think you can have it all, like you said in your comment. You need not abandon anyone. I think you can find solitude in between things and maybe you can get more help that you can take more breaks. I just wanted to write because I was a little shaken by the suggestion that you might just abandon someone like that. Idk. Maybe I’m missing something, but that’s what I think.

@@tnijoo5109 I’m completely with you. It is simply not part of our story, to ever leave each other, in this lifetime. In fact, we’ve come to discover that even though our spiritual views differ (he’s an atheist, I’m very spiritual) we will stay together out of love.
