Loved this video. It’s so interesting to hear other people’s stories. My little girl was back to back as well & I ended up with a section after 32 hours of contractions. Luckily my epidural worked really well! I was so annoyed that they didn’t tell me she was in the wrong position earlier too!xx
Omg 32 hours! That must have been so tough. I was so surprised about the back to back thing considering they told us about it at the classes, and how to resolve it - I wish I knew I should have been doing those exercises 🙈 next time I will be asking at every appointment 😂
I love a labour story! 🙊 my story was very much like yours! I had a b2b labour and he was early at at 36weeks. I got to 8cms and thought great I can get though it without the epi. Then I got a check again and then said sorry he’s got back up I cried because like you the pain was horrible. Got an epi and all it did was make my legs numb I still felt every contraction and had forceps. He was 7lbs 15oz and 56cms. Today he’s 10weeks and I called him Harrison. ☺️
Lovely birth story. I giggled at the bit when you said the doc asked if Andy was ok because he had gone a bit green. Lol. I can’t be fine for a guy to watch their partner in so much pain.
Every time you spoke about the pain I could feel it all over it again! I don't think you can every really forget! It's making wonder whether both of my children were back to back and I was never told! My Labour pains for both of my children were at the bottom of back and the hitting your spine with hammer reference is spot on to how it feels!

I honestly shivered a few times even thinking about it, horrible feeling 🙈 the first year goes by SO quickly doesn’t it! And if you’re like me you’ll spend his first birthday looking at the clock and thinking ‘what was happening this time last year’ 😂 hope you both have a fab birthday celebration for him! ❤️

My son is 7 month old I had a back to back labour! I can relate to it all! The burning in your legs, the feeling of wanting to push!😩 I was 4cm and was pushing! Well done you for getting so far!🙌🏼🥰x
my daughter was pregnant and went into labour... she had the worst labour ever... mainly in her back and I had only had normal vaginally deliveries.. so I didn't understand why the pain was mainly in her back.... after a very long labour it was discovered the baby was back to back and had to have an epidural... thankfully the epidural worked great.. she was SO relieved she even rang me to tell me 😆.. but the most annoying bit was that her contractions were nothing like I had experienced with mine and didn't follow the set rules of minutes apart or duration .. but the tens machine was her saving grace... it really really helped her back pain... I couldn't understand it all as mine were front contractions with minimal back pain... so I felt like a chocolate fireguard !! useless !!

Oh this made me think back about my birth and I actually can’t believe we women do what we do. We really are one set of super humans! And I would absolutely cry if I had to try and retell too! X
Great video. So many similarities to my own labour story. My boy was back to back, I was told to push but then told not to as wasn’t fully dilated, it was impossible to stop though. I ended up having a c section as I couldn’t get to 10cm. My boy is coming up to 1 now and I keep thinking back to this time last year, how far I’ve come. Xx

I loved this video Hun. I laughed, cringed for you and cried through it! Also brought back some memories from my last labour 2 years ago as I was told I would need a emergency c section after being induced for over 40hours and being told I was still only 2cm, about needing an epidural and having to stay dead still whilst having contractions still in fear of being paralysed and the absolute fear of needing a catheter (which I didn’t realise they would do post epidural but still was terrifying) I am now 18weeks pregnant with my third... I must be mad... but like you said you’d go through any pain for that overwhelming feeling of love when you hold your baby for the first time ❤️ Thank you for sharing xx Also I love how you make comparisons to things that happen on Friends, guilty of that too 😂

Listening to this I realise how lucky I was with all 3 of my labours! My 2nd labour was the worst because I had to be induced as my waters broke and nothing was happening, I went from no contractions to full blown labour in an hour it was horrendous!!! For my last baby I was rushed to hospital (I live over an hour away from the hospital) as they thought I had pre-eclampsia turned out I didn't and they were sending me home but I was telling them I'm in labour I'm having contractions but they weren't listening so while I waited on my lift coming as my hubby doesn't drive I was having more contractions. As my lift arrived a new shift of midwives started and as she came in to say I could go I was on all fours telling them I needed to push! I had my little girl 35 mins later!!!!!! That was at 9pm now because I had been took to hospital for precaution of pre-eclampsia and not because of me being in labour I didn't have the car seat with me or the babies things I was 3 weeks early so my hubby had to drive home with our friend to get the car seat! This was on Hogmany also! I was back home for 2.30 am after giving birth at 9pm! They checked me and baby over and because I had 2 kids at home I wanted home and because everything was fine and she was my 3rd baby they let me home!! Xoxo

😂😂 i have been totally nesting for weeks (im now 37 weeks) i have been tanning, shaving, nails, etc and im like why am i even doing all this 😅 dreading the morning i wake covered in tan in labour!! 😅😅
Hahaha! I actually tweeted that night saying ‘better not go into labour tonight since I look like ross from friends right now’ 😂 totally tempted fate! I was glad I had tanned though since I didn’t put make up on for weeks after 😂🙊

Loved this 💗 I had the exact same issue with a failed epidural cos it was a student who was attempting it. Then my pains were so intense they checked me before trying again and it was too late cos I was 10cm. Then afterwards they were trying to put a catheter in and I was like look and started walking about the room to prove it 😂 xx
Omg no way! And it was the same hospital! I wonder if it was the same guy! How funny that we both had to prove it 😂😂 if I try and get an epidural next time and that guy shows up 🤚 😂
They also gave me a bedbath which I thought must just be standard after having a baby then i realised they did that cos my chart said epidural on it 😂😂 If I ever have another I’ll be a bit wiser lol xx

At first I felt like I hadn’t prepared enough for it then I realised you just can’t prepare for that 😂🙊
